haha i actually changed my mind with the skidplate it works, but i wanna do something a little more different...im gonna make another template one out of thin aluminum then have it made again...i show ya pics of the new one...when its finished -
yeah well those better shifters usually come with better bushings....haha tell ya the truth i dont even really care all that much.....the car was 800 bucks and i whip around with it as if it was a rally car....i just cant help but wanting to improve everything....i get too anal with things...if only i had a garage and more mechanical skills.... EDIT: you need to go to bed brother...get some rest for the next long day of questions tomorrow ha

what if u have a better faster shifter..but still shift normally..it'll just be more clean? haha im not sure...all i know is the bite noise is driving me nuts....and so is watching my shifter bounce back and fourth when i let off the gas and give it gas while in gear.. i was looking at kartboy and it doesnt say if they have a shifter for a 96...i think it does say 97 so same thing?

let me know after a week or so...how u like it....it may become droning in like 3rd gear....or u'll feel like an A- Hole when going through town... and let me know about ur low end torque thanks -sean also i made my skid plate i'll have to get ya some pictures...i think we were discussing this earlier -
i found a rear disc setup for my impreza....however this s*** does not wanna work with me and the breakerbar anyone live around the tamaqua allentown area..that could hook me up with a portable sawzaw or impact gun? -sean

in my 96 2.2 with 196,000 miles....i get about 25.5 mpg driving around town doing delivery's...sometimes conservative and sometimes shifting at 4 to pass someone....or accelerating quickly to jump the tracks... if u try u can very much so get like 27 city in regards to rust....depends if the car was kept outside or not and if it drove through winter's rock salt.... if i was u i'd get it...try to get them lower but i think its worth it...as long as it was from a respectable original owner who has always changed the oil on time...its hard to find a low miles 2.2

???...so now wait u have both o2 sensors plugged in...however there plugged into a wrx cat not instead of the impreza one....and it still works fine no cel? for some stupid reason i always thought that if its not the matching cats as the factory specific ones then it wouldnt work haha be really it is just a filter also let me know if u lost any low end torque going up hills from the bigger exhaust -
im thinking about upgrading my shifter b/s...linkage and bushings possibly short shifter..whatever you think i'll need, i drove my friends cougar the otherday and then once i got back in my car it felt like i was in a truck that doesnt have synchro's also...anyone have any probs when u shift to 3rd? for me it feels like it bites before it engages...kinda makes my driving experience miserable...that and my shifter feels sticky

you think its worth upgrading the brakes to something like rs...and if i do will i still be able to fit my old 15" rims on for the winter? btw i dont race the car..and i originally have 15" wheels....however when the moment comes that i may need my brakes...should i have went bigger? any suggestions -sean

haha,,thanks for the reply better late than never but..i dont think her driving habits are going to change..honestly she scares the S*** out of me sometimes.. there should be a certain brand of car that is only made for driving that my g/f could buy...no cup holders, no loud radios, no a/c, no power options to play with...and no possibly way for cell phone coverage inside the vehicle.....however she does wear her seatbelt...i'll give her that, where as i hardly wear mine...i think she knows she needs to wear her seatbelt when shes driving so now i dont know what to do...leave the brakes stay the pads have a ton of meat..not sure how save they are.....or change brakes and rotors with expensive subaru brand brakes...hoping that she wont ruin the good ones any suggestions?

i think theres ways to ground out the wires or something ..so that the sensor thinks its working....i know my one buddy did it to his ram when he decided to install smokestacks out the back of the bed ha -

what are you going to do about your cats and o2 sensors? are there no problems with mixing it up...or are you going to do something to make the sensor's think they are working also....those step down pipes at a napa are a good alternative...although when i tried using them it wasnt quite long enough for my need....i had a local shop make a custom pipe/sleeve so i could connect my cats to my resonator pipe after i cut off both flanges due to rust..throw some clamps on it and works like a charm...no leaks, flow problems? haha i wouldnt be confident enough to tell ya it works good.... for one i hardly race my car at high rpm's and i only did it to gain my low end torque back from when the flanges seperated..i could only make it up hills in 3rd when my cats and resonator seperated like an inch apart..i never thought that a break like that would make a huge difference g/l with the exhaust and give me details when your finished http://community.webshots.com/photo/548832254/2187839410053449880XtVJYO incase the above picture doesnt work -
just cheap napa brand for both whenever i change wheels....i do the old tight enough as i dont have a torque wrench... and i dont believe they had a long enough break in period..although when i first installed them i did do a couple slow brakes and things like that...but i didnt do it exact to what i've read on the website haha and when it comes to harsh braking....theres no doubt in my mind that she could be the cause of it...for some reason she feels the need to get the to stopsign as fast as possible and then hit the brakes at the last second(gets it from her dad)

she is bit harsh when it comes to braking......but why does this occur twice....we bought it with the problem from the original owner...then i replaced parts and its coming back also with that whole torque thing causing warped rotors...how hard would u have to torque them to do that...sometimes i get a bit skeptical about how hard i tighten my lugs
