haha yeah...i was just busting on ya bout the fart pipe... i broke my exhaust already from offroading and at first it sounded kinda cool driving around like a ricer...but then as soon as i came into town i was embarrassed to the extreme....not to mention after the 2nd day the noise was soo annoying nice wheel/tires if the muffler came with the car then dont waste money putting something stock back on...but i'd try to loose it and buy something else with the money...

sounds like u have an exhaust leak

yes...the red one alot faster than the white one..... it handles well indeed and thats why i cant decide to lift it up or not...when im driving around town its my ricer car..whippin around corners but then once im in the woods i keep saying i wish i had forester bits for more clearance..... what i need to do is find an old cj ...and then i could keep this car as my "rally car" instead of trying to rock crawl a sports coupe

http://community.webshots.com/myphotos?action=viewAllPhotos&albumID=548832254&ran=15484 i've got some great plans for this thing...just gotta wait till summer to fund it and do it ha i'll be updating some pics tomorrow of the new wrx rims i just put on....its amazing what new wheels will do for your car... if any of you guys have some opinions of what "youd" do to it...im all ears... as of right now i cant decide if i wanna go more of the offroad side big lift, bigger tires, more protection etc. or rally style nicer looking, small lift..more daily driver friendly
-
off the topic....but if those rims are 16 inchers...was there any noticable gas miled loss? i just threw some 16" wrx rims on my 96 impreza(normally 15" wheels)...and was wondering if it changes anything...i dont care enough to take them off..im j/w btw with the new wrx rims my car looks like its worth way more than the 800 i payed for it...i gotta post some pics:headbang: (adds a sort of meaner look than the half silver half black steelies)
-
go both....double the protection once i get some time...ill be under my impreza with some carboard...figuring out where what will go if i didnt have to use mine as a daily driver i would go with a full underbody armor.....i could get steel really cheap(not so much aluminum tho)..even the fancy diamond plated if i ever wanted new "carpet" kovatch's (KME) headquarters are located in my town...and tons of my buddies work there building firetrucks

thats how they should advertise the sti

good sh*t man....thats awesome....im gonna set that picture to my pc background ....finally someone enjoys there sti.....hopefully u paid it off already right? haha void warranty there keep it up

96 impreza L coupe 2.2 awd 5-speed i got pics of all the measurements....e-mail or pm me if ur interested....

the guy messaged me back about the struts....these are from 05 fxt.... his exact words: "The top hats are identical to wrx, same part #'s The struts are .5'' longer then wrx struts from the bolt housing to the lower spring perch. Overall they're about 1'' taller. When i get home i'll check the rest for you "
-
i actually dont have them yet...i was looking to buy tghem tho however i do have a set of 03 wrx struts i was wondering if they would give me a lift at all...but when i measured them it seemed like they only gave me an extra inch in the front..i dont wanna go through all the trouble of installing then to realize that my cars rear is gonna sag im kinda arguing with myself whether not to sell the wrx ones...b/c there agx's with eibach springs which i will def sell and all four dustsheilds and tophats....and i got them for only 400 dollars......but if they dont give me a lift then i'll have to sell them...im not into the whole street racing thing....i just like the adjustability...and it was a deal i couldnt turn down
-
has anyone used the newer forester struts for a lift....did it work? should it work? they're coming off an 04 fxt what was the first year for the forester?...maybe im just making myself look like an idiot with these questions ya well the worst you could say is "no reply" or "try a search" thanks -sean

i think i better get a skid plate....too close of a call today ...drove through a puddle and to my surprise there was a massive rock in the center that was covered in muddy water...however luckily i somehow got my oilpan out of the way..however did nip the headers.... if any of you guys have one...u think u could toss me a sweet picture of what it looks like...and other crap like how far they bent it maybe....once it dries up im gonna climb under the car with a tape measurer and see how hard it would be to make my own skid plate..and it wouldnt hurt to have some accurate measurements that the smart ppl used..i seen them on websites for almost 200 bucks...which is insane considering all they did was bent some aluminum then drill some holes.... now that i already posted this...i realize it should be more in offroad than new gen srry bout that...im sure someone will move it

are those the duplicolor painted rims from nasioc? i like the black i also like the tires.. too bad i couldnt fit them on my impreza for the winter time
-
what do u guys think about using wrx struts for the stock impreza's?? i bought a set of agx's with eibach springs for real cheap but only prob its from an 03 wrx...i have the front n rear top hats but im still not sure if it would be better than just getting agx for my impreza would it work better or worse anyone here know much bout wrx'?
-
it could be the springs are too soft?....i dont know a whole lot but maybe its too much work on the strut or just not enough stiffness and it could be hitting the bump thing someone else can correct me...but maybe you'll get something from it
-
what kind of springs are you using?
