79 Brat conversion: you may question my sanity
Nice Conversion Idea... I'll Like to see Photos. In my Country, people do some conversions like That, but Usually for Reliability and / or the Lack of Parts. Once I Came across a "Bratsun" in a Mountain Village, here you can see Pics of it: http://ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=91449&page=3 Good Luck! Kind Regards.

Getting a bit warm
If Headgaskets are good; I Kindly Suggest you to do a Radiator Flush using a Chemical additive that removes the Dirt that the Radiator could have, then Rinse with enough Water and Finally pour Fresh Coolant. When a radiator remains with coolant and unused for Long times, the Coolant buildup sludge that can close the passages and Limit the flow. If that doesn't Help, the Radiator could be very Clogged and / or the Waterpump could be starting to Fail... Kind Regards.

Timing Belt Adjustment
They have Tensioners, so They really Don't need any adjustment... I've seen Belts fail early in their lives due to a worn tensioner's ball bearing that decided to Stop running, so I Kindly suggest you to change all the Tensioners when you change the Belts. Here's a Link to the Milesfox's awesome Writeup about Timing Belts: http://ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50768 It has Pictures that will clarify the Situation. Kind Regards.

What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
No, your Weber has Two vacuum ports in front, but the one on the Left is Closed with a Screw, as Subynut already wrote; you can remove that screw to use it on the EGR. Never use a Vacuum port in the intake for a Vacuum advance on the Distribuitor, because the Vacuum provided by the Carburetor is somehow "Progressive" and the Vacuum Provided by the intake is "Permanent" and will be too Strong for the Rubber on the advance and could damage it... also since it is permanent, you'll Loose the Advance feature and the Ignition Timin' will be too much advanced. Nope, is not necesary. Kind Regards.

Etiquette and common courtesy
Yes, you're Right! I Really Dislike to Waste my Time Reading and Reading a Thread that is like a Plane that Takes off and Never landing... That is the Reason Why I Always post the Solution or Conclusion on all of my Threads. Kind Regards.

Cannot find Weber instal write up
But the TransDapt 2107 will Work, if you WELD it to the intake as I Did. By That, you'll Avoid the Use of Gaskets between the Intake and the Adapter, avoiding future problems. And Don't Forget to Close the Coolant Passage. Kind Regards.

Weber Adapter doesn't fit Intake manifold on ea81
Yes, Look ~► Here. Also ~► http://www.carburetion.com/Weber/invtocartweber.asp?Part1=99004.110 But they Lists the Same Part Number that you already Have... What's Wrong with the Adaptor Plate? ... the Screws's Size? When my First Weber came (for the EA82) I had to Redrill the Screws. Kind Regards.

Good Night too... and Yes, Pics Please! There should be Two 3/16 Vacuum Ports in the Weber's Front, the one at the Right is for the Distribuitor's Vacuum Advance, the one at the Left is for the EGR. More info ~► Here. Kind Regards.

Loyale EJ swap
I Wish I Had a 2300 Lbs Loyale to Fuel economy reasons Only... But that Data is incorrect. This Picture belongs to a Subaru Loyale Sedan, (Not Mine) Posted some time ago, you can see it says: 3,430 Lbs ... ...I'm Sure Wagons are more Heavy Weighted and I'm Almost Sure that my BumbleBeast always weight 4,000 Lbs due to the Huge amount of Tools I always carry (in three Tool Boxes) the New 15" rims and myself Somehow I Really Like the Heavy weighted car Feeling that my BumbleBeast has, also it gives some extra Handling in Certain Situations. Kind Regards.

Yes, if you don't connect it to a Positive (+) Source, it will Never Open, so the Engine will Never Start due to the Lack of Fuel: it Prevents Fuel to Come. But the sH¡tachi Carb has that Solenoid too... So you Only Need to Use the Wire for it and Plug it to the Weber's Solenoid. If it Doesn't Receive the (+) imput = Closed. (ignition Off) With the Positive imput, it will be = Open. (ignition On) Kind Regards.

Simple EA82 water pump questions
What do you Think about Shellac? ... http://www.permatex.com/products/automotive/automotive_gasketing/gasket_sealants/Permatex_Indian_Head_Gasket_Shellac_Compound.htm ...I Always use Shellac on Paper gaskets, and if I need to use Silicone, I preffer Ultra Cooper Silicone. Kind Regards.

Idasho is Right, and you're Lucky to have that already fitted to the Weber, 'cos it was somehow an "Option" and usually people deal with Dieseling in certain circunstances, or install one aftermarket. Kind Regards.
