  1. wow, how did you manage to lower it like that? and where did you find the tire size? i have looked into lowering mine but that would call for a five lug swap then i cant use the 4x140 wheels i have. looked for awhile i can find a few of the 175 70 r13 tires but not much other than that. of course i am guessing easier to find there. maybe not so much here in the states. what i did find though was competion tires......ummm yeah my car not gonna be in a competion with it being a :rolleyes:non turbo 1.8 liter fwd..... 150 bucks each.....
  2. :confused:wtf. that is only the second fxt i have ever seen. very nice!!!!
  3. i was the same way when i first got here. i got alot of your in the wrong place you need to post here. not in this area. sometimes newbies to the board sometimes get the silent treatment. or responses like do a search. we all at some point have been there. if you search the entire board instead of say the area you need to look in will bring up so much stuff to sift through. i have a few thread i have been watching, i have been considering this 2.2 swap myself and i just keep watching a few thread to get and idea of these guys are getting into before i do. i can send you a few links of the ones i have if you think that might help you.

  4. no problem. the forum layout can be very confusing at first. if you ever have a question like this situation feel free to pm me.(private message) i if i have an answer i will be willing to help. took me a while to learn forum set ups and procedures. being this is the first one i have ever been on before. now i am a member of three of them:rolleyes:. usmb. nasioc. and scoobytruck. just like suabrus. the forums become a second home. four years later and four cars later. the forums mutiply like the cars do. started with a 88 gl sedan. 86 wagon. parts car. 90 loyale soon to be my girlfriends car. and 05 baja. it is a sickness.
  5. are looking to buy these parts. if so then post in the subaru stuff wanted in The USMB Classifieds. i hope that helps you. if you are lookig for parts list then do some searching the the retrofitting forum of others that have done this swap. send one of them message asking to see if they can help you with things you may need.
  6. wow nice. love the wheels. mine sits that low but both front tires are flat:rolleyes:. have to to say love your picutres. the views of the car and background priceless. but this is coming from a guy who lives in beach country. thanks for posting look forward to more in the future.
  7. as a board member once told me. turn up the radio. that was because i complained about the tick of death. and here i though my flat four was turning into a desiel.
  8. i would like to know as well. since the wagon is down and the radiator is out. i could do that now. thanks. in other wiords what the dude said.
  9. how about an 88 hatch lowered with 2.2 non turbo and six speed. fellow coworker had a focus with the 2.0 liter with six speed damn that thing was fast for a 4 cylinder with no power adder. feel free to pick that idea apart.
  10. well i must say gray or white smoke is a good indication of blown head gasket. so it has been everytime i have had that happen. in everything i have had smoke like that. all were not subaru. as for timing. if is not the headgasket and no cylinder pressure on one side i had that problem when i had timed the belts useing the zero degree mark on the flywheel. but which a little usmb readin on the manual. i went back and did it right. i had that not starting problem, then when i did it right by the usmb manual it starts and runs. well it now starts but wont stay running. off by a tooth i think. have not had time to get back to it.
  11. i have 4 like that with out the center caps on my sedan:grin:. i think they are enkies though. i would also like to see pics too. i need to clean up the outer lip from some curb rash on mine and get painted. i did not know you could do two color powder coating:-\. sorry to hijack the thread i now give it back.
  12. damn i have seen many many wiring harnesses like that. just subarus though. wish you luck. will be watching closely i have been having thoughts on the same swap. so far so good though. good work man.
  13. buddy of mine had 94 F250 power stroke. wheel hop is all it would do. it was 5 speed. great on the highway though when you put you foot to the floor.
  14. Wow. that wagon is up there. nice work. what is that six inch lift or is it more? llok forward to see more pictures soon. thanks for posting the madness.
  15. great picures. looks like fun. there will plenty of time for those donuts:lol:!
  16. This past thanksgiving i spent my time with family and girlfriend. Daytona Turkey Rod Run. i happen across this. I was wondering does this belong to a board member? first time i have seen one in person:eek:. nice though.
  17. i remember having two or three versions of that car in my family as a kid and 85 olds delta 88 of my own. i can say for sure unless it is big oak or larger. trees have a real problem heading their way:lol:
  18. damn i know this thread is kinda old but u love to drive it but not own that. Drive it like Ustole it. then give it back.
  19. damn thanks people good info here. as well as diagrams..
  20. i dont have manual trans. but i am have and am still researching some tips i found on here. found a diagram on how to wire it up. just need to talk ASE tech who now works for advance auto parts where i work. see if he can help me make sense of this situation. i got jist of what needs to be done just not all that good on wiring. i would rather do it right the first time and not have deep fried sedan for dinner:lol:. GD i feel questions will be coming your way soon. thanks for the offer.
  21. ok i figured as much after much searching on the wagon. no relay. just burns me that if cross the the terminal on the starter it works great. but then i use the key it works. and then next time key does not work. i am in the process of timing the engine and cant keep dealing with crossing the wires to start it:rolleyes:. i figured of a relay to solve this and have searched and found a few threads to help. got to fix this so i can have this wagon to start by key so i can time this damn thing....lol. i belive i maybe off off by a tooth:-\. thanks for your input. i hope to hear from daeron on on this.
