The r200 diff has arb lockers available for it. And its a well known swap for r160 (all subarus have r160s, well, almost all) equipped datsuns fueling the fire, I know.

I'd like to say: Watch out, if the timing belt goes, it takes out the engine too, unlike the older designs. The price can probably be better, you can get an engine for that much money.

Title says it all, I'm in Morgantown, so closer to that end would do good for me. But Every shop I find is either not interested or too far away. AAA will tow my baru up to 100 miles. So I just got to find someone to swap the engine. If any grease monkeys want to do it themselves (I'll help of course), I'll gladly buy all the beer they can drink. I can't see myself swapping an engine myself since my tools consist of a 40$ wrench and socket set. And a dremel.

These are just technical pdfs downloaded from subarus site and jammed all on one cd. They're helpful, to say the least.

+1 for the raammatt I just got done matting mine down, cost basically nothing for how much it changed the car.

NONE of the work was really hard, it was just time consuming. Espaically if you were careful. (Near the end I wasnt, and broke a handle, oh well. trip to the junkyard for me.) But All thats required for disasembling the doors is taking out 2 screws and a trim piece, pulling out some pull tabs all along the bottom/side edges, then pulling the piece up. It took me roughly a week of work on and off. Now that I know what the hell I'm doing, I could probably disasemble the door in 5 minutes. Well, take it apart enough to install the mat at least. The real time consumer was cutting little pieces to fit through the access holes on the door.

I have to give a second recommendation for raammat. Rick is a great guy to deal with. With Lesbaru down I raammatted the doors, the trunk, the hatch, and the front floor of my (extremely large) wagon, and it only cost me 250$ Even with parts of the car disasembled, inside the car is now quiter than inside my house.

If you want to modify something other than the sake of modifying it, good. But those gears might not even be that beneficial, espaically at that price. Longer gears dont necesarily mean better mpg. With the lack of torque you'll have to rev the engine even more than normal to keep you moving. For 2400$, buy a 1000$ CRX or something and get 45 mpg on gasoline.

No one has access or the time?

Can you do me a favor and take a picture of the pin out on your ECU? It wont take but 5 minutes. Pull up the carpet in the front passenger footwell, undo three bolts (12mm, I believe) and take off the kick panel, un hook the cpu and snap a picture for me. I cant find one online and I need it.

Did yours happen to look like mine? Mine still ran too, had enough power to start and pull itself into my garage. About as quiet as a thunderstorm though.

Oh wow. Your replacing your tripple treads at 50K? I expected them to last longer with a 720 treadwear rating. I'm using the same tires, but only got roughly 20K on them so far, no visible loss in tread.

16 inch wheels will fit, for whatever reason the brakes arent upgraded on the OBXT's as compared to Legacy GT's. 15 inch wheels wont. At least without some fabrication.

The OBXT's have 250 torque and 250 HP...? All kinds of guys over on SOB.org have 350 HP area XT's... Congrats andy jo, beat on this one as bad as you beat on the imp!

Looking at it from this angle, I say probably about an inch and a half drop from the actual body of the car. Its raining so I didnt bother with the measuring tape.

That stuff adds an inch or two, I've ripped mine off and they're currently held on by fishing line. I need to get some steel rockers in there.

I'd like to add I beat mine to hell and have encountered none of the problems listed. (knock on wood) I would glady however take all of them instead of having an exploded engine block.

Got the engine, should order it next week, I'll update with pics when I get it.
