Retro GL-10 TURBO build
For the fabric of your new seats, perhaps you could have the old cloth carefully removed from the stock seats and re-installed on the new ones? I wouldn't know if there is enough material on the old seats to cover the new ones but it is worth looking into. -Bill

BOSS 4" EA82 lifts available to order
My kit includes blocks to lower every component of the subframes 3" and the suspension 4", so the suspension geometry stays relatively stock, so every block pictured is where there is a suspension component. -Bill

New Brat!
The EA71 bellhousing will not bolt to the EA81 block, been there tried that. What you need is a D/R 4-speed, the tranny will bolt up to the stock crossmember, but unless you get one from a 81 Brat, you will need to modify the shifters and modify a clutch cable from a Gen 2 Brat, as the 81 Brat clutch cable was only made one year and is no longer available anywhere (also tried to find that too). Then you will have to modify the angle of the steering rack to clear the wider bolt pattern of the EA81 bellhousing. Everything else pretty much bolt together. I've done this kind of swap so if you have questions let me know. -Bill

BOSS 4" EA82 lifts available to order
I've finalized my 4" EA82 lift design and I am now ready to fill orders for them. The lift uses 3" crossmember spacers and 4" strut spacers. Camber remains as close to stock as possible. Each kit comes with all the USS Grade 8 bolts you will need to install, but it does not come with any Metric bolts, or a steering extension. You will also have to modify your shifter linkage as well. Price is $400 plus $40 shipping inside the U.S. Please let me know if your car is an automatic trans or a 5-speed. Thanks! 4" kit for Automatic Trans 4" kit for 5-speed Trans -Bill

My BRAT Build Up Thread
Yeah, that part sucked, but after 24 hours of continuous working, it was just when the pipes hit the tailsection. Never even considered the FT4WD tailhousing wouldn't hit the pipes... Great lessons learned from this project though -Bill

Needed - Pedal box manual shift Gen I

4.444 x 1.592 x 3.545 = ~25:1
Machining would be required on the case to make dual range work with the xt6 case, the input shaft area has to be drastically changed to accept the low range gear shaft and the input bearing from the dual range. I've noticed the early legacy manual trans have a case almost identical to the RX case, the only difference being the belhousing (obviously) and the lack of the dual range specific parts, but all the bumps and bungs are there, just need to be machined to accept the dual range parts. -Bill

4.444 x 1.592 x 3.545 = ~25:1
That would be the tits with DCCD! I had my 4.88 ring and pinions in my Yota axles cryo treated by Longfield Superaxles, so far they have been working great... I would at least just do the treatment on the ring gear after the material is removed, I didn't really give much thought to the pinion shaft being a main part of the tranny, being as long as it is it would be bad to be brittle... But it should help the ring gear. -Bill

4.444 x 1.592 x 3.545 = ~25:1
As far as getting the ring gear clearance, I wouldn't take anything off the shift collar for the low range, just off the edge of the gear. Idk if you have a buddy with a lathe, but if you do the easiest way to do it would be to chuck it in the lathe, then set up a rest and use a grinder to carefully grind the edge while it rotates. Then ship it out to be heat/cryo treated. -Bill

This will be awesome to see built and here how it does! Should make driving with 31's feel like stock tires. -Bill

Good BRZ Review
A little off-topic, but it appears that the BRZ is also being marketed by Scion as the FR-S... -Bill

My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
The blue wire on the connector is for the choke. One of the black wires would be for the anti-deisel solenoid if you had one, and the other would be unused. -Bill

Mock up in solid works, Subaru R160 Locker
$300-$500 sounds like a good range, cheaper would always be better but it is what it is. -Bill

BOSS 2" EA82 Lift Kits- $100!!!
The CV angles won't go away, but what it means is they will fail sooner than they would otherwise, so I'd buy the lifetime replacement axles and get real comfortable changing them out It varies car by car, some people never really have issues while others do. -Bill
