  1. If I didn't live so far away from the action I'd be hittin the trails with you guys every run, I'm just not close enough... Always a blast when I do make it over there though. -Bill
  2. This kit will fit your car, PM me to order one, I have them in stock ready to ship. -Bill
  3. If I can get my hands on a cheap Legacy or Impreza I will start making EJ lifts at prices comparable to my EA lifts, but I just haven't been able to get a cheap rig to use as a base. -Bill
  4. Lol well as of right now, no, but I am working on getting some installation pics/videos made up to go with these. Not sure when I will have them ready but hopefully not too long. It's pretty straightforward though, in the picture the blocks are laid out pretty much just like they will be installed on the car. -Bill
  5. Bump, I am ready to order materials, if anyone is interested let me know. This combined with my 2" strut lift gets you a more complete kit, and at over $100 less than an SJR 2" lift. -Bill
  6. I am lowering the transmission as well as the engine. It doesnt make much sense to me to lower just the engine, seeing as how the axles attach to the transmission. It also puts extra stress on the motor and tranny mounts, as well as the control arm bushings and radius rod bushings. This kit keeps the drivetrain in it's stock geometry and the suspension at close to stock. -Bill
  7. Sorry to hear about the strut top not fitting right, that's an issue I haven't run into yet. I'll keep tighter tolerances from now on. -Bill
  8. I forgot to add, the 2" lift kits are and will still be available for $120 shipped without the upgrade kit. -Bill
  9. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/136310-boss-1-crossmember-spacer-kit-for-boss-2-suspension-lifts/ Upgrade kit for BOSS 2" lifts, give me your input! Thanks -Bill
  10. Ok, so I've gotten some requests for crossmember spacers from some people who have installed my BOSS 2" suspension lift kits. I am testing the pond to see, if it is something enough people want then I will start offering an "upgrade kit" for those lifts, and it will also be available to order with a new kit. What it will be is 6 blocks, made of 1"x2 1/2" T6061 aluminum, plus all new bolts to install it. This will lower the engine and transmission crossmembers 1", improving the camber and prolonging the axle life. I have never had, nor heard of, any issues with the rear axles on a 2" lift, so no need to lower the rear subframe. Steering link not included, and you may or may not have to modify the shifter, sometimes it varies from car to car. Price of the "upgrade kit" will be $120 shipped in the US. Price of a new lift with the upgrade kit included will be $220 shipped in the US. Let me know if you want this, and I will order material and make it happen. I need at least 6 orders. Thanks! -Bill
  11. Looks good! -Bill
  12. Leave it in 4wd and take out the front axles, leaving the outer stubs for the knuckles... Can't tell how long the transfer gears will last but it would work for a while. I know for the AWD legacy trannys there is a steel coupler you can buy to replace the viscous center diff and lock it in RWD. Still have to pull the front axles though. -Bill
  13. For the shifter I have had excellent results from lengthening the shifter lever below the point of where it pivots the shaft connector dealybob, and lengthening the dealybob the same amount. Results in awesomely short throws, and do a sloopy shifter fix while you're in there and it makes it tighter than a porsche. I will have pictures of these mods soon, I sold the rig I did these things on to Pooparoo a couple years ago so I'm just waiting for some pics from him. -Bill
  14. How much for the whole lot? How big of a box is it and how much do you think it wieghs altogether? -Bill
  15. 6" on the struts, 5" on the crossmembers. Gives more room for more modification later, and less stress on the axles and closer to stock geometery for handling. -Bill
  16. I have now finalized my design for my 6" EA82 Lift Kits and they are now available to order. These come with all the blocks and hardware you will need for installation. Price is $500 + Shipping, which is usually around $40-$60 within the U.S. No steering link is included, and you will need to modify the shifter linkage and find radiator hoses that will fit with the lift. You shouldn't need new brake lines if you unclip the hard lines and bend them untill they fit. PM me, or Call/Text me at (509) 391-5903 with questions or to order a lift. Paypal preferred, Money Orders are OK as well. Local pick-ups welcome! Thanks! -Bill
  17. ***************in build man, I had mere thoughts of doing a Subaru motor swap on my old Yota, but I never guessed how much fab would be required to do it. Also nice fab work! -Bill
  18. Finally read through this thread, and glad I did, very nice work and a beautiful car! -Bill
  19. I usually don't reuse the bolts, I bought a length of B9 threaded rod in the right size and thread pitch and make studs, then I use stainless nuts. It can make it a pain to get the manifold off again someday, but I don't have to worry about stripping the threads in the heads. -Bill
  20. Bumpage, I have quite a few of these in stock and ready to ship! Still only $120 shipped! Paint no longer available though, bare steel only. -Bill
  21. I have 4" kits available for EA82 cars, and I have a 6" ea81 kit waiting to be sold. I can also do 6" EA82 kits and 3" and 4" EA81 kits. -Bill
  22. If you would be willing to separate the bellhousing from the EA71 from the std hatch, I'd be interested in the belhousing, flywheel and clutch assembly. PM me if you want to go that route. -Bill
  23. It should fit. You can come check out the dashes on the Tailgate wagons vs. the lifted wagon if you want to be 100% sure, but they are the same body so it should work. -Bill
  24. Yes, with any kit that spaces the body there will have to be modifications to the shifter linkage, steering link, and the anti-pitch bar on the back of the motor. Also you will have to source radiator hoses, possibly longer heater hoses, maybe have to lengthen some ground wires, and remove the mechanical fan shroud or remove the fan altogether. Brake lines usually won't have to be extended, you can remove the lines from the body clips and bend the lines down to get the length you need. It sounds like a lot but it's not that much to do when you get down to doing it. -Bill
