im planning on pushing the boost up... rememnber this thing has a 7-1 COMPRESSION RATIO thats like.... well... low! REALLY LOW.... i think that this thing can handle it... remember... boost is not the enemy... the engine could handle 50lbs of boost.... its detonation..... well... i couldnt really handle 50lbs but you get the idea!!! im smart with my engine... i wont blow it ill go gentle at first... and i took of my manual BC because those are addicting.. so im running stock boost levels here.... and with MEGA i can tune it for really good fuel mileage for road trips!!!! I love road trips.... unless im not the one driving! If I get money (alot of money) Ill buy an ej-257 and slap a Hydra on it! Stop naysaying!!! Just believe that someone else can do it! If not me... someone else... anything is possible with unlimited money:-p

me have ea-82T.... And i think i could get at least 15 horses... and thats on a crap tune... if i had a dyno day and all the gauges i wanted.. then i could pump out more.... and im talking about megasquirt just so i can get rid of fuel cut... but im thinking of fuel cut defender until i get my ej-25 swap idea out of my head and onto paper..

i love silver stars... oh yeah this brings up another question... too lazy to make new thread... You know the sidemarker/Corner lights/blinker/ well... the running lights.... does anyone know how you can make these have nice white light?? i mean... i see plenty of cars with silverstars in the high-low beams but the side runners are always the dark crappy normal light... just wondering if anyone had ideas.... sliverstars to xpensive for me right now... and... why fix my lights if there not out yet??? i couldnt even dream of having HIDs and there is one problem with the cut out and epoxy idea... HIDs dont need a dispertion pattern... so it will really screw yourself if it gets shined through the lenses... just from what ive 'Infered".. hehe i learned that word in 5th grade and have been waiting to use it.... enough babble... thanks guys for ressurecting this thread... keep it going!!! I like Blue not purple HID's or white not yellow./. hid is the coolest light technology other than plasma... its close to it though.. considering its a super gas! bur hotter get wierd colors... i LOVE IT!

yeah... and unless you have a tranny jack... NOT FUN... ive had to lay on a cold cement floor in washington state for like 6 hours helping my friend put his tranny back in his 300... THERES NO SPACE IN THAT STUPID BOAT OF A CAR!.... anyways.... yeah.. mounting "customizing" the tranny will be cool... but then you have to put it in!!! But im not a naysayer.... i think it would be cool if you pull it off....!! Good luck!

what about mpfi with mega squrit i dont know if i wana do it or not......... i think ill just wait untill i have enough money to do a 2.5 swap.... which will be never... and then use this engine in...... a buggy or brat or another heap that im sure to aquire in my lifetime.... you guys have rubbed of onto me

how many pounds are you running??? because that really truely sounds like death is lurking in that engine.... your knock sensor is going to freak out man!!! i know you know this but i have to say it anyways... RUN PREMIUM!!!

i agree! i have the td04 on my rig right now... with the wrx downpipe! what turbo do you have???? just say the name not brand unless you want to.

did you over revv it any time... i mean any... and a significant over rev? im talking about 8000+ ???????? You could have broken rings ringland... but highly unlikely.. do a compression test and then if somethings amiss drop a tablespoon of oil in that cyl and do a cyl leakage test... if you dont have the stuff to preform this than... i dunno.. hehe... find a buddy???? But what i described is unlikely but all too posible! hope it helps oh yeah... and does it misfire under acceleration???

soo... it cant get out under its own power??? Not even in 1st at redline squeeling all the way????????? I dont understand. if it wont start.. i think in 2nd or at least 1st you could use the starter to mabey back out... i dunno.... Im used to 4wd with my dads tacoma.. but i did take blueroo up a hill that it shouldnt of done.. i had to pop the clutch and spin the tires all the way up using my ebrake to stop me when i slid... oh yeah i have pushbutton 4hi.... If tuscon wasnt so long of a drive.. hehe and i wasnt so lazy. i would take my dads tacoma down with the warn on it and rip the roo out of there.... Not being sac relig but.. Its not going to leak!!!! I dont know why you guys keep saying this.................. i do know that I am going to get my stuff from BAP from now on... i just got a Bosch Fuel Filter and Header Gaskets!!!! and they had them come from there warehouse to the location next to me in less then 3hours..... Thats service!!!!!!!!!! K&N oil filters are overpriced and did some one mention OVERKILL!!!! there stupid! and they should stick to making airfilters thats what there good at!

i only bought the best filter they made!!!!! Extended perfomance or something... thats why i hate checker.. they only had the fram one for my car in stock... and i needed it right then.... im going to get my header gaskets now... also theres a bolt missing from the headers..... i sure hope BAP has them...

quick note... these may flow better..... But that means they dont filter as well!!! and CI...and CI-4 is the current API service rating for diesel..... My dad has an isuzu i make him buy only the best for it! And Mobile one is the best synthetic oil made PERIOD!!! 15W-40 is too thick of oil for this engine my oil clearance is not an THAT BIG.. ill be using the rating for spark ignition engines off of the API service rating of S not C, for diesels, .. and the current best is SM.. Or SM-4... I know frams suck... and NO I WILL NOT PUT THE BEGIESES TO IT.. i dont feel like Crushing a filter on my oil cooler adapter... no thanks... what the label says is what you do! if it keeps spinning off from rattleing your engine RATTLES a bit to much... i dont like to use fram.....but if im changing my oil every 3 or sooner... WHO CARES! and checker and they (were the closest and only open) didnt have anything else... i was in a pinch...... ............................... And my intake system is fine.. ill be going to foam soon enough.... The TD04 is super cheap.. not saying that i want to blow it up.. but it can handle the little tiny stresses of this engine it was designed for a 2.2-2.5 liter not for a 1.8... so this is chumpchange for it.... I checked my headers as soon as they cooled off a bit... and theres black all over the passenger head... i blew a gasket... oh well.. easy fix.. BAP will have what i need im almost positive.. (if not 1stsubaru will.) and they give me an unreal discount... there the kind of store who knows they dont know about your car... so they help you acordingly.. not the autozone or checker.. where they think they know everything.... all in all i think shes all good.... Im doing my best to not hit boost while the header is in dissarray but merging is so difficult with a 7-1 engine and no torque even if my life was at sake... but i love my roo... the WAX turned out great.. .its so smothe and silky... this weekend i hope to allign it and paint the wheel i messed up (trying to break the bead with a "shovel") Those are scarry Any mechanic will no what i mean!

OK SOMETHINGS WRONG!!!! I dont know what happoned... i returned the boost to its origional level by reconnecting the turbo to itself... and now... it wont spool.. well it takes forever to spool... it wont hit full boost... Heres what i have learned so far... it has a GIGANTIC exhaust leak....that is causing it not to spool quickly or eficiantly... i think the wastegates stuck open... but why am i hearing the gate?? Its internal.... Remeber people i have a WRX turbocharger......................... WHY WHY WHY??? it has no power what so ever....... why??? russ i need you opinion the most! :-\ :-\

Harsh bends are not a turbo charged vehicles friend... but if you have to... and you keep them at a bare minimum then there ok... your talking like elbow harsh right??? your not making a rollercoaster out of pipe are you??
