Run to Tehuya...

it's right next to belfair. which is about 30 minutes from the tacoma narrow birdge or a little further. it's a decent size orv park. which has a nice mud pit, and a bunch of mild mannered trails. and a few trails and hill climbs that are a little challenging. just a little tip. when you enter the main 4x4 part, across from the main parking area. make sure you hang to the left. the trails are a little milderer. if you go all the way right... it's a pretty knarly downhill. Semper Fi! Jared try to get dave and nancy or my dad to go. i'd go but you know where i am. -
yep, sweet82 would be the man for that. i'd love to do the little humv one! make that into a daily driver and paint it camo like the rest of the marine corps hummers. drive on base and i'd get all kinds of looks!

hey not a lot of help... but i figured i'd search. cause i remeber finding trails around that area on the net a long time ago. not gauranteing mud. but some places to check out. some are probably just scenic byways.... but oh well. http://www.trails.com/explore/activity.asp?Activity=&StateID=&AreaID={1AFF4A1F-277F-4A6E-AB4B-C61605BCB783} here's some nma info on offroad areas trails and parks. so it's another one to checkout. most of the trails aren't in your backyard. but an attempt to help ya a little, from prior searches. http://www.nmaoffroad.org/orvtrail.htm#anchor5181074

yes, 2 trips. one will be a lot more family based. but either i'm sure would be great for family style. just one trails will be hard and trying. the other will be a nice relaxing weekend in the woods with some subie nuts! and some light trails. nothing really hard. or that's my plan! kick back, relax and enjoy a good weekend! -
Happy greetings from South Africa

i was planning on a trail difficulty progression. start around 3.5+ and go up. they have a 5 rating system up there, same as arizona. lincoln locker really is more of a need out in the rocks. i have a lincoln locker in the rear and a LSD in the front. plus i should have a solid toy axle in the rear by then. so i'm not too worried about the over-the-head part. i usually can tell if it's gonna make it or not. after the rear axle, i'm making a 1/4 inch skid plate for the t-case... i'm more worried about the less modified than my own. -
Superstition mountains on the western outskirts of El Centro. it's right on the border of the navy marine corp bombing range. lot's of sand and some rock too. last 2 times i went to Gordon Wells, southern part of glamis... i broke a total of 1 axle, tore 2 strut tops, bent and deformed a lower balljoint and tore upmy front control arm.... speed, big tires, subaru= killer.... maybe cause i got a lead foot in open areas... but if i stay down around 15 or 20 mph it'll be fine. and stay away from whoop-d-doos. i should be fine if i put limiting straps on the front end also. otherwise i overextend my struts and land hard once or twice and tear!! strut tops comes apart and kills everything. but dunes are pretty fun! when i get back i'm swapping a yota axle in the rear and replacing an axle. i'll measure up some limiting straps and i guess off to the dunes! Superstition Mtns. has dunes also. and some extreme rock obstacles on the side and trails that are likely to get no damage also. Gordon wells, glamis, butter cup and patton valley, and a bunch more in the same range of dunes. gordon wells and buttercup are the closest to me and should be to you to. 30 minutes from me. it's at the base of glamis, about 20 miles south of glamis, on the same dunes.
