  1. man that looks good!!! Love the black on bottom. Bumper looks good, just a shame about the light holes though. Wonder about a regular Legacy bumper in place of or nice push bar. Now you just need to get it higher up .
  2. Good to know. I wonder if that will work with the EJ d/rs from Down Under as well...... That Forester is SIC!!
  3. Bottoms are cheapies I'll replace with some rectangular fogs down the line, tops are ProComps- 55W Fluted lens outsides and 130W Spots in center.
  4. Taken the other day down in the San Fernando Valley.
  5. My friend has a 1992 Legacy with a bad automatic. I have an automatic out of a 1995 Legacy and was wondering if it would be a direct swap (plug and play) or if wiring and switches will need to be done. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Got all the info from my friend regarding the bumper. 2 X 5 3/16 Square Tube 3/16 wings and brackets 1/8 plate Production bumper will be 3 inches further out from body to facilitate light mounting behind instead of in front. $700 Shipped including powder coating in black. 10 or more orders $600 shipped. All orders must be in by Oct. 29th. Paypal or checks only unless in LA then cash ok. (pm for address) BUMPER IS FOR OFFROAD USE ONLY AND NO GUARANTEES AGAINST AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT OR DAMAGES DUE TO BUMPER USE.
  7. Yeah, I was more interested in tucking the bumper in as close to the body as I could and didn't really care about the lights. The "production" bumpers will sit out 3 inches further from the body and have the lights mounted behind it. This one will end up being used on my ranch wagon and get a different one down the road when I'm done modding the car.
  8. Thanks for the warning all about the airbags, I never thought about it. THESE BUMPERS ARE FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY so there is the disclaimer. Also, these will fit a first gen Outback Sport and Impreza's so yay! Pics of the OBS fitment thanks to S'ko. Now just need to see who all is interested and Group Buy will begin October. Will post new thread for that here.
  9. Got my bumper done and mounted and put some lights on. Now just need to see what needs to be modded to fit a Gen. 3 Leggy.
  10. Yeah, it is kinda "chunky" but I prefer square stock to round stock, could do tube if people are interested. As for the lights, yeah I noticed that right after, the one thing I forgot to check and first thing I noticed after:banghead:. I'll keep this one for a while then fab a new one with winch. Keep this one for the ranch wagon then.
  11. Well it's done and mounted but getting pics from my friend is a PITA and I don't have a camera. Looks bad arse and will post pics when lights are mounted up (hopefully Wednesday). Will be test fitting it on the 12th at the little meet n greet here- http://ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=114764 on a 2000 to see what needs to be changed to fit it. Specs- 2x5 3/16" DOM Square Tubing 1/4" Plate Lower Mount bolt-through OEM tow hook 1/8" 18" wide bolt on Skid Plate (optional 36" wide) 6 Light tabs (4 top 2 bottom) Comparable weight to OEM assembly
  12. OK. Since no one has posted anything I'll just pick the 12th of September in Long Beach off the 91 and Paramount Blvd after noon. Obispo Ave.
  13. Would that be 1st or 2nd Gen?
  14. Well my friend wasn't around yesterday to finish the bumper so won't be done til Monday . Will be welding a "bash plate" in center of lower opening instead of a bolt on skid plate then the light tabs and 'coating. Thoughts, ideas, input appreciated. Forgot, found another pic for ya'll.
  15. Waiting to get the light tabs and skid plate tabs mounted so I can powder coat and call done. Weighs no more than 50lbs over stock bumper assembly and is stout as snot. OEM front tow hooks are incorporated into mount as lower radiator support brace protector and skid plate mount. Pics tomorrow if all goes well and friend is able to transfer them.
  16. New bumper to push people out of my way . See http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=114594 for more info.
  17. Sneak peek. 2X5 3/16 Tubing Stout as heck more info later when done
  18. Well fabrication got delayed for the weekend and due to more interest we are going to be doing the front bumper instead. Car gets dropped off tomorrow afternoon.
  19. Fabrication starts tomorrow for the rear:banana:. Will post pics of progress.
  20. I posted there but have had better response over here. Will do my best to get all the options above done as I would like the same as well on mine.
  21. Came down to pick up my Outback and visit the family for the summer, and since I'm out a job at the moment I'd see if anything was down here job wise since my neck of the woods is so sparse. Will be heading back up there shortly to take care of some things though.
  22. 2X8 rectangular tubing yes. SP means skid plate yes? As for stainless, no. Weight is going to be an issue but I'm going to try and keep this as light as possible. Gas tank skid is going to take some work to work with and without a lift as the only mount we can find for the front of the skid is the diff which gets moved so.... it might just be a "bash plate" to protect the gas tank from scrapping. Got things to take care of this weekend and will be getting back on this next week and hopefully will have some mock up pics available.
