  1. Yes it is.. its an 83 2wd 5 spd sedan but for all intents and purposes its an 82.. or at least has all the 82 stuff and solid front brakes but that is probably more than anyone really needed to know about the fuel issue. I think I will run to fill my gas can and try pouring a little down the carb.

    No pics? it didnt happen
  3. I have gone through most of it twice and have a bandaid on a few things but I wanted to see if my work was going to be worth it. I pulled the carter weber intake n all and bolted on a hitatchi intake with weber have everything I need but I am getting no fuel.. I was wondering if the ECS might have something to do with the fuel pump not working or where to start looking in the a.m. before superbowl. I ask this specifically because before the swap I could hear the pump cycle when I turn the key and am not hearing it now. Mike
  4. Early 90s imp with usmb decal on South Hill Yesterday.
  5. If you have cracks in tie rod ends I would not be caught dead in your car until those got replaced! If its just the boot then I wouldn't worry.
  6. short people have small feet so they dont rip it loose with their toes

  8. You are right but a simple wiring upgrade from the alt to the battery makes a huge difference.. I have done it and I decided I really didnt need the extra power until I went to bigger amps. Like 1200 just to the subs and another 300 for the highs
  9. It really depends on how you like your sub to sound.. IMO a single decent rather than two budget subs is probably going to be better. depending on taste what is low budget for you $100 or less? Do you like the bottom to drop out and go really low or are you happy with what you hear at the local audio shop. For simplicity I would go sealed but to compensate you may want something 12" or larger to help it out. This in a pair would do you right for a sealed enclosure http://www.woofersetc.com/p-8144-ref-tm122-12-tidal-audio-subwoofer-dual-2-ohm-oem-by-image-dynamics.aspx This would be better as a single sub in a sealed enclosure ( have the 15" version and one is enough... I was only using about 300 watts) and it uses a really small enclosure http://www.woofersetc.com/p-3415-rwe-302-mb-quart-12-1000-watt-reference-series-subwoofer.aspx Mike Edit you might also look into a pair of JL Audio 10W0 they will need about 1.5cubes for both will be plenty loud and enough bass for your musical application. Those are on sale on the above website
  10. Maybe Jacob... If you pay attention the mud and dirt kind of give it away. We like the mud n dirt so post em anyway.
  11. Welcome Derrick! Glad you found us. As for your Sambar that is awesome. I am sure someone will have an idea as to find you answers but my limited knowledge is confined to Gen2 subarus in the 80's Mike
  12. They are different. One has a 10 gallon tank with a relief in it for the rear dif.
  13. I have plans of a similar nature but it shouldnt cost too much with a parts car. It will be more from junkyards and pick n pull. Pick n Pull or whatever you have in your area may have a price list online. As far as time goes Probably a weekend if you know what you are doing less if you got help. Mike
  14. *2/3 Sedan progress Well I made progress with my weber swap. I unplugged all the hoses and wires necessary for the Carter weber and stopped when I got to the intake bolts.. Gotta get a new thermostat for it and sourced a throttle cable that goes on the left instead of the right ( the right side one is to short for the weber ) Went for a joy ride in the Hatch and played in the snow and got stuck for the first time ever. No LSD and was at an angle so front left and right rear were the two wheels with the least traction. I had a great time doing it too soo
  15. You have the turbo cars covered and one 2.2 I think you need a Frankenmotor!
  16. I love that gen 2 (Leone II ) I have seen pics of that on another forum you had been on and I am soo jealous. Mine is a work in progress. and unfortunately Edit: I forgot my photobucket account so I do have one. Mike
  17. I assume since this is three months old not that this has been resolved. So what was the culprit?
  18. Very cool! might leave the next stocker in there.
  19. If you look carefully the wires mentioned above can be removed from the plug individually. That way you aren't cutting the harness. To run speaker wire is not that difficult. Your new deck will tell you which one is + and - you only need to decided which of wire you want to use for positive and which for negative on the new roll of speaker wire. Then fish it through. going into doors is a pita just make sure you leave enough that it doesn't get caught in the window mechanism.
  20. I rewired my low beams on the hatch.. bigger wire relay etc. I left one stock to see the diff before wrapping it up and the rewired light drowned out the stocker so much I couldn't tell that it was on... I love it!
  21. If you know what your radiator came out of just about any place can get one for you. Thepartsbin and Rockauto would probably be the cheapest and their customer service is excellent if you choose to call to make sure you get the right part the first time.
  22. Well I will start with Saturday which was to replace Rad and get my fan working off new switch instead of always on.. Yesterday started replacing Exhaust gasket and made a serious mess of things.. Stripped threads.. Today I have at least a temporary fix on the exhaust time will tell.. Thanx Turbone for your Subi Jedi powers.
  23. did you get air in the master cylinder? could e a pin hole in one of the soft lines. I have a similar problem with my sedan and did have to replace my master so I probably do still have air in the system I just can't find it.
