  1. read through numbchux file first it may be the same thing and I am just thinking funny. It would not be the first time
  2. If you want to run HID you will need to do the headlight relay thing anyway or it will not trigger because we are ground switched not hot switched. Upgrading to 4x6 H4 conversion lenses are not all great. I have tried 5 different types and 3 are junk. Do not get any that have the built in projector. (trust me). Then if you still wanna go that route because it isn't bright enough Kensun off Amazon makes a great H4 kit for the money. IF you want to do it right try this.. but you gotta pay to play and have it done right. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/complete-retrofit-kits.html Just as an aside the 35watt hid lights draw less its the initial start up that is the big draw. The 55 watt versions are more expensive and can almost guarantee you will melt the light housings as well as draw big power. I have already done this just not the right way and around here when it snows HID in hte H4 package are aweful. They will blind you not help Good luck. Mike
  3. Check the retrofit forum.. IF you already have 2.2 heads on the 2.5 block all you need to look up is the 2.2 write up. Then hold on tight.
  4. You might hit up Turbone or Caboobaru. I have never seen coilovers on a 6 but if anyone on here knows or has looked into it would be them.
  5. Seafoam it is.. This weekend. If no joy then I will pop off the rocker assembly and check the pushrods and hope that I didn't bend one. Can I use a straight one from another engine if mine turns up bunk?
  6. I have had it for a long while and finally adjusted the valves this weekend. One intake #3 was a little loose and one Exhaust #4 was quite tight. Adjusted and double checked. Put her all back together and still have valve noise from what sounds like number 4. Any ideas or will a short drive maybe work it out? Dunno what else to do short of running seafoam or something. Mike
  7. I finished my valve adjustment.. Took my a little longer since I wanted to clean the covers before reinstall. I double checked each one after adjustment so they should be spot on. I have got to figure out why I have lifter noise on one side.. It's gonna drive me crazy. I had it before valve adjustment and still have it.. I did find one intake a little loose and one exhaust was too tight (same area the noise is coming from). Wonder if it will resolve itself with a little driving? I guess I will ask in the regular forum.
  8. Lucy will clean up nicely! I don't see anything major wrong with her. Makes me wanna hurry things along with mine.. On to other news Went to adjust valves and got the good times going with permatex removal.. I guess I wont be finishing today. Dang it!
  9. light sender is sideways gauge sender is vertical and much bigger around.. BTW never had any luck with aftermarket sender playing nice with factory gauge. Mike
  10. There is a mod for the fpcu to turn the pump on when your key is in the run position.. you jumper the power in to the power out and run a new ground. turn the key if the pump comes on your in buisiness. The trigger is now bypassed. Mike
  11. That sux. You didn't even have a chance to enjoy it
  12. I am now bookmarking this page.. I will be in a similar boat soon I hope with a fulltime box.
  13. So are you going to be a regular now.. I think even your daughter would enjoy it.. even if it is only for 10 seconds at a time.
  14. Just wondering is your temp going up a bit? I am thinking it could be a plugged cat. You have done everything else I can think of. I dont have a good spare for you to try out or I would have you drop by and grab it to see. I do have a catted Y pipe but I am unsure of how good the welds are so as not gas anyone out. If you want to try it drop me a line. other wise someone may chime in if you post it in the wanted section. If you know a good welder that could have it gutted and still retain stock appearance then there is no possibility of a future plugged cat.
  15. It is a good idea to have some spare flat and cone washers.. BTW they are pretty cheap. I killed a front hub by not knowing.
  16. #$%^$%@#$ you finally went and I couldn't go! glad you had fun. I think I need finish a few things and pull many strings before next year.. I will send some pics of my fun today in a bit.
  17. you need a transmission out of the next generation of subaru.. EA82 body without turbo so that the gear ratio is correct.
  18. I realize sourcing a new intake is easier but why not just have the ea81 ported n polished. I will flow at least as well as the gen 3 intakes. Custom is so much better to look at and the sleeper factor is awesome.
  19. I need you all to take lots of pics.. Sadly I won't be making it this year. I have to track down a water leak in my walls. Sooo much more fun than a WCSS event.
  20. Nice Jackmans! Beware! Swapping parts to a gen 2 are doable. I think the bolt diameter is going to cause problems trying it the other way around on the pivot bolt.. I could be totally wrong but from the explanation above I don't think so. test fit and make sure before modding anything. I would hate to see you stranded because of this.
