  1. Hmm...never thought of that. Do the EA82s have a smaller volume of cooland than EA81? If so, I never knew it...I guess you learn something new every day. That would explain it.
  2. Look into GT wheels. They would look dope on your rig.
  3. Not to call you a liar, but...I kind of have a hard time believing that. Can you tell my why?
  4. I think you've got thermostat problems. 20 miles is a long time. My EA81s take about 7 minutes in 15-degree weather. The Loyale takes even less (can anyone explain this phenomenon?) at about 4 minutes. They will all blow fiery-hot air in seven minutes or less.
  5. A name cgange in '90. They all (DLs and GLs) became Loyales. The Loyales, unfortunately, had less of the sweet options as the earlier models (rear cargo lamp, sunroof, etc.). To the Subaru "layperson", I guess you could say that in '90, they all pretty much became DLs. Loyales do not have dual range (HI, LO) 4WD. They DO have fuel injection, and they are RARELY turbo motors.
  6. Volunteer number one...right here.
  7. They never came with a V8 from the factory. It would be the 6 or a four-banger 150 GM Iron Duke, or 151 AMC (depending on year). Oh, yeah, and for anyone who will make rude comments to the Jeep owners on this board...Jeeps (well, AMC Jeeps, not Daimler-Chrysler), despite their quirks, are awesome. I don't care what anyone says.
  8. Mmmm...I heart Scramblers. One of, if not my very favorite Jeep model. In fact, I have a bet with my dad where if I win, he has to buy me a running Scrambler! Unfortunately, though, if I lose...bye bye to my beloved CJ-7... Anyway, welcome aboard. It's a great place and I hope you are a member of JeepForum.com. Let me know when you plan on doing a 360 or 401 swap (you know you want to...) in that Scrambler and be sure to do a write-up.
  9. I've always been a Yakima man, but Thules are just as good. Start with the towers and crossbars you need (Q Towers if Yakima) and just go on a shopping spree for different attachments to hook up your bikes, skis, whatever. (For mountain bikes, I really like the Yakima Raptor because it works with my disc brakes - you don't have to take the wheels off...super convenient. But they won't work with carbon road bikes, if that's your style.)
  10. Hmm...what must it be like not having rust-free cars? What is rust? I don't believe I've ever seen any on a Sube...HAHAHAHA
  11. Seems weird that someone paid that much for these things back in the day...when you can get them now for a couple hundred bucks... I guess it's because I'm young and don't remember when they were new.
  12. Bye bye hubcaps... Hello 5-lug swap and WRX wheels!
  13. 5 or 6? It's from 2004... Anyway, I've looked into this as well. "Buy the first one" seems to be the general consensus around here. That way you can see all the integral parts and have experience installing, etc.
  14. I just googled the Bonneville Justy. That is awesome! Anyone that has not seen/heard of it, look at it NOW!
  15. If you ever sell that thing, let me know...(especially if you want to do it on your way back to western WA...I'm right on the way if you take the Post Falls route...)
  16. Not unusual around here...Same problem I'm having. ...But I've got a line on a '96 5spd with 96k on it...we'll see. If I don't snatch it up, I'll let you know (whether it's worth a 4-hour drive for you or not, I'll let you decide).
  17. Yup. Supposedly just as reliable as the four, just bigger! (And with more powaaaa!)
  18. Blood Alley...nice... Nice EA81, man!
  19. Even a full-faced helmet... I guess those guys are smarter than I'm giving them credit for.
  20. Check out the Special Stage Forums. There are a lot of helpful folks on there ready to pull you into the sport.
  21. Crazy...I saw that a few weeks ago and was shocked. It looks kind of fun...but that is ridiculous. A perfectly good car to start with...
