  1. I see the concave, if you remove the fender you could probably just press that concaved part back out with the palm of your hand. You might want to remove that molding and flex that back straight too (Its a metal strip coated in rubber) You can sometimes get old dry ice from food stores for free, from what I have seen, you just place the dry ice over the area until the dent pops/springs back to original form.
  2. If there is no crease, you could try the old dry ice trick. Uninsure motorist only covers Medical if you only have comp/liabilty.
  3. Blasting, Sealing and Powder coating should run you about $300 for all four wheels, I did the pugs on my wagon a few years ago. It is totally worth the fundilation for a super smooth and durable finish.
  4. What is the purpose of the coolant lines running in and out of the IAC then? I understand the CTS on the crossover sends (Most) if not all data to the ECU.
  5. A better IAC is what fixed the issue. The Sensor inside the IAC which reads water temp failed and was giving inaccurate readings. $20 IAC fixed the issue which has gone on for 6 months. Cleaning an IAC is a waste of time for the most part I have found, if you have it off, replace it with a better lower milage part.
  6. Finally think I have solved the whole lumpy low idle when cold thing. Swapped in another IAC from the junkyard, seems to be doing its job much better the original IAC. True test will be tomorrow from a completely cold start. IAC was $20 from the local yard.
  7. Subaru does like to use older parts or methods on newer vehicles (Not only on the transition years either)
  8. Don't forget, The One, The Only, The Original, Ultimate RX from Subarutex http://www.subarutex.com/ultimate-rx/
  9. Was able to score a IAC and genuine Intake from the Jackyard for $25 total! Not bad since a new IAC is like $300. Am thinking this might solve the Lumpy cold idle and white smoke.
  10. Ah, I will have to take better note of the two then as I didn't notice the different keying. I can't wait to get the new housings, since the Outback style has a much better reflector and lense design. I am gonna run 35w 6000k HIDs in place of the standard bulbs as I've done on all my vehicles.
  11. So I a wondering why Subaru changed from the H4 bulb (Legacy Headlight) to the 9007 bulb (Outback headlight) Was there a reason for this? Also, having matched up both bulbs, the 9004 (EA82) and 9007 (Outback) bulb designs are identical and work in either or.
  12. Well you have Duel-Port, right? $150-200 from Ebay will get you a N/A UEL Header (Get Fel-pro gaskets though)
  13. Indeed, The OB/GT grills are deeper and don't sit flush (Still fits but looks hideous) Nice skid plate, I can't run one due to the UEL header.
  14. Just when you thought it was over, something else will be fitted onto this rig. Ordered a Set of true Outback headlights from another member for $95 shipped, and also pocketed the 9004 harness connector from the junkyard, that is needed for the swap. I prefer the two piece design, as they use a better reflector style and will project light much better then the Single piece design. Brighter is better. Next step will be to get 9004 6000k HID bulbs for the swap so I'm not running Halogens again.
  15. I say anything older then 1994 should be allowed in this picture thread. Including SVX if some arise. Either way, I bet the same pictures will also be posted in the "Newer gen" thread as well.
  16. I haven't looked up any places that "Might" Sipe tires. But I have heard mixed reviews on the KM2s as well. Some of the Land Cruiser guys say they suck on snowy roads, yet the Jeep guys love them. Personally I'll deal with the cons of this tire, just need to adjust your driving style and get a grasp on what the vehicles reaction is. Don't matter much anyway, WI is snowless YAY!
  17. I will say, pulling a double wheel trailer with a 2,000lbs car on it is hell on a Subaru. Just pulling an equal weight Legacy with my Outback was a b*tch.
  18. I remember when SJR had that car sitting in his yard in stock formation a few years back. The bullet holes were from the PO.
  19. Nope, I went to a local tire shop (DLS Tire Center) Total I spent was $1,103 all said and done. Tirerack sucks for buying, only good for looking up tires to get an idea. I have pictures of them mounted and on the truck, just have yet to post them. Your buddies truck still looks good!
