  1. Seats look right on Rob! Oh, I like those rocker panel covers (Says Subaru) With they would have carried that over to the EA82 cars. -Tom
  2. Looks damn good and thats what matters. Make sure you sell it to a true Subaru person, not some jag-off that won't treat it with the respect and love it deserves -Tom
  3. So, are you buying new dealer parts or some how giving old parts new life? Those jump seats look impeckable along with everything elson here this rig. Alot of work and money put into this, Looks great! -Tom
  4. All Loyale/GL/DL/RX body styles from 1985-94 all have the EA82, Either carbed, SPFI, Turbo, N/A. Unless you live in India and Indonisa where alot of the EA82 style cars had the 1.6 EA71.
  5. Have any oil leaks coming from the timing covers? Check/replace oil pump/seal both cam seals/o-rings, crank seal. And you shouldn't have any more for a long time Lifter tick, Add 1/4 can Seafoam to full oil - drive it for a few days and change oil when hot (This way any dirt thats loose, it won't settle again) you can also run ATF fuild in the oil to clean it out (Swap out 1/2 qt oil for a 1/2 gt ATF) then when your all done and have fresh oil in it, add some MMO to the oil. It conditions and also cleans (Leave it in till your next change 5000miles) Use Genuine oil filters, DO NOT USE FRAM. Fram has cardboard end caps which over time breakdown and enter the oil system, clogging oil passages and soemtimes causing internal engine failure if not addressed ASAP. Run Seafoam thru the brake bosster hose, suck 1/2 can or 3/4 can, let the engine stall on it, let it sit for 15-20min then fire it up, it will clean out carbon build up in the cyclenders, and will clean all the air passages. Hope this helps -Tom
  6. See thats the thing, back in '88 when they did that, they pushed the limit with what you can do to that engine while staying within the class ragulations. I dunno if you could even do anything more to the 1.0 now days, sure you can bore it out, but to much and its a diffrent class. It would be interesting to see if/what they could do to that 1.0 with todays technology. -Tom
  7. +1 screw MPG! You don't need gas when your rocking a lifted Subaru Lol -Tom
  8. Chux, LAMO! "Ask me how I know" that put a smile on my face today and thank you for that I have a small rip in my inner boot, alot of grease came out (And still is) and I've been driving it for 1000miles so far. I might just do the duct tape thing for this winter so no salty water gets int there and starts rust. Good luck you ya! -Tom
  9. Ooo show me, show me! (With glossy eyed expresion on my face)
  10. Same here, the angle isn't too bad and havn't had any repecautions (spell) from it yet.
  11. Oh yes, you did ask that! (Its under btw) It could be the Air suspension giving you that feel, I'm no expert What lift did you use, Scott or did Bill make you a kit? -Tom
  12. Yea but it cost me $2.79gal - $15 for 6gal. 87 is like $2.56gal -Tom
  13. Huh, I don't even remember seeing this thread a few months go? I'm glad it popped up again! I remember you talking about do it but didn't know if you carried it thru or not - guess so! Looks awesome, I don't see many lifted XTs. I like those Forest wheels too. As for a lift effecting how it rides/handels. I dunno my wagon seems to ride the same, better tires sure helped alot though -Tom
  14. RS seats will look badass in the RX. I'd like to get and install XT seats in the wagon some day. Heck, maybe even Legacy seats! I put 93 octane in tonight and I guess I had a pinging, well now its gone! Yay. Now I can push it up to 5000 with out any noise
  15. Rob, do I beleive my eyes? Mitsubishi in a Subaru OMG, isn't this illegal? Hahahaha Looks good though, pretty snugly? -Tom
  16. What I ment was - this seems like the type of mechanic that would do timing belts on a Subaru and then not time the cams correctly, He prolly would set both in the same position. You are supposed to set the cams 180 degrees from each other. In other words, if one has the dot straight up the other should be straight down and the little arrow on the bell housing should be pointing on the middle line that is marked on the flywheel/flex plate. So after he messes the cam timing up, he would think its an ignition issue and pull your Disty out not knowing how to time it when he puts it back in (btw, its about 20degress BTDC) We have heard alot of storys of shops that mess up on a Subaru just becasue they don't seem to care. Its ok though, your on here and any questions you could have - I'm sure someone can answer them -Tom
  17. Very true, but keeping it in honor of the work you've put into it is fun too!
  18. Thats Mick's (McBrat) site. his decals are awesome too! I have a few on my car. He can also make custom decals. -Tom
  19. I don't see what you two are talking about - all 4 wheels look like wagon wheels. All of them have the curved spoke (Unlike Jackmans) These all look the same though -Tom
  20. Now why in blue hell would you ever want to sell a rig like that !
  21. Hmm, I wouldn't mind putting my sliders on - but then I'd have two extra seats sitting around. I guess I'll pass, they do look cool though
  22. Vagan, I really like how the stick seat looks! Was it reoposterd? Brad, The wagon wheels look good and the blacked out lights are pretty cool. -Tom
  23. Lol, at least everyones in a good spirit
