  1. Markus, that looks pretty good. Gonna paint it, white or black or some shade? Bill, LMAO! All you need now is something yellow and a Nos can on the dash, you'd gain 50+ HP. -Tom
  2. Nice score on the wheels and seats! Looks awesome. Now I want those seats for my wagon -Tom
  3. What about tube doors? Or those half cut doors they use on modified pickup Rock crawlers? That would look spiffy on a Wagon! +1 I want Scotts stills when I grow up !
  4. So white paint is now invisible? That is a real bugger, I can't beleive all that happend to one car! I hope you get it fixed nicely, and at least you still have the yellow wagon and your wifes Kia to drive -Tom
  5. Oooo, thats cool! Makes me want to dip everything in it! Nice job -Tom:slobber:
  6. Your boss prolly thinks you've gone mad!
  7. Thats taken shape very quickly (Must be nice to have wamer temps out by you, Plus a heated shop ) Lookin' good!
  8. Oook, Scratch the Troll idea Hey thats pretty cool, Finaly some pics of a real setup (for Better idea) SJR Wompus, Sounds like a new part listing
  9. Oh oh oh! I see now, thats a damn good idea. Looks easy enough aswell. So is this gonna be a rig that you can drive to a meet, or will it need to be trailer-ed in? Guessing from everything I've seen on this build, it won't be driven to the meet. Anyway, looking forward to see this rigged up on the sedan
  10. +1 to the Air Shocks, I really like that pivot idea and it does make sense. Now on that pivot piece that comes off the upper framing, whats gonna go on the bottom of that, is it just gonna be a domed piece of solid metal and then that cross bar/brace will ride on it, or are you gonna have some type of rubber bumper to cushion it? Not really a big concern at the moment, but I'm just wondering
  11. Oh, my eyes were deceiving me big time Haha. Well you have the extra power of a EJ22 you wouldn't notice any wind catch/bogg Nice rig! -Tom
  12. Thats interesting, so it pivits on that center brace? Whats that setup called? First time I've seen something like that, I'm used to 3 or 4 links. Nice Datsun too Lol. Hack away at that sedan! zzz
  13. Mugs, Looks good, must really catch the wind? Is that an EA81 in there? -Tom
  14. Excelent job, I like that!! Really looks custom, but not to homemade. I think I would bring the entire bumper out from the body about an 1" or 1-1/2" looks a little to close for my. I like it though -Tom
  15. Either way, it looks good! I think the only think I would have changed was the mound looking sides on the front most part of the side rail (I like how the rearwards ones look, little longer) But all in all, it looks good, and you know its not gonna break. -Tom
  16. Well a few years ago, I removed the rear wiper motor ('92 Loyale wagon) cause the motor was getting stuck helf way, So I wanted to take it apart and lubricate it nicely. Well I disided to remove the Armature (Bad idea) the brushes popped out and almost lost the springs that they push against. And I did this all outside at the back of the car, needless to say it took my like 45min to get those brushes back in and everything seatted again. then I finaly lubed the motor and works just like new and still does. That was the worst thing I can remember. Warning: DO NOT UNCAREINGLY PULL ARMATURE APART ON AN ELECTRIC MOTOR ASSEMBLY! -Tom
  17. +1 Ya know, Bill, Jeff, Scott, Rob, ect.. Wheel the hell out of there rigs and non of their bolts come loose (Things break before a bolt loosens or breaks) I mean, this is not rocket science - we're not building computers, Its a Subaru. -Tom
  18. Heres another picture of an '86 RX (Sedan) Not sure if you've seen this already. -Tom
  19. Nipper, Cotter pins are what your thinking of? That keep the castel nut from loosening. I dunno, I always use bolts/nuts and the proper lockwasher when needed. I also use zip-ties for dumb things that arn't a big deal (Timing covers, hoses and the like) I really don't know what you could hold on/up with bailling wire - except the exhaust, and a door closed Lol! -Tom
  20. Holy cow! Thats luck at its finest right there boy, geez! Funny how much a you depend on a lockwasher. -Tom
  21. Ben, think about this first.... I can't drive after midnight due to having a Probationary licence, which will expire Dec 11th 2010. Once this one expires then I get my real licence. You have a Probationary licence for 2 years. mines almost done! YAY. Scott, nah. Its cool. I'm not worried about it. My luck I would need to retard it anyway (Pre-ignition if I don't run 92/93 octain.) Might just be carbon build up somewhere causing this though...? Hmm. Alright, to keep this thread fair aswell. I did take my car to the carwash lastnight Lol. To cold to hand wash it. Rob, wheels look badass! Those will look great on that the SVX! Whoot!!
  22. LOL! WIMP!! How dare you sir...! I'll get my chance to come out to IA someday (You guys going anywhere?) Don't think so Only problem I have is my licence, I can't drive after midnight. So it would be kinda hard on coming back to WI, I would have to leave kinda early sunday to get back to WI before midnight (I ain't staying at no motel on the way To or From) and the car should't breakdown, I have enough new crap on that engine! Lol.
  23. Lol, I know. Wheres this being held? Which state? I doubt I'll make it but we'll see. Would be cool to get Miles and Scott and any other WI Subaru guys to caravan to the mid-west meet with me!
  24. Scott, Lol! I really need a timing gun, want to check my disty timing. Rob, Aaa! Putting the Brat to work as it was intended for I see I havn't done anything for a while, but I am going to a Soob meet this sunday! So that counts for something eh? -Tom
