  1. The resurrection of Subaru Alliance welcome thread.
  2. Thanks to the PDF Tom Redmond sent me, I now have the fuel pump lines correct! The PDF also kinda shows the rest of the lines. So that helps! Thank you Tom for the PDF.
  3. The EA82 has a two piece driveshaft, so it uses a rubber mounted bearing to stabilize it. The EA81 cars have a single piece and do not have a bearing. Cheers.
  4. The General Grabbers are garbage in deep snow so I've been told. xbeerd has a set on his car (And I have one for my 5th wheel) I would get the BFGs if you do a lot of driving with the car and they are better in every terrain (Except deep mud, which is where the Bighorns come into play) Guess it all depends what you are gonna be doing the most with the tires. My Bighorns have about 6000 miles on them and are showing signs of wear, more so now that I've been doing a lot of interstate.
  5. You could run the BFGoodrich ATs which are gonna last longer, the Bighorns don't wear for sh*t for a DD (Ask me how I know lol) You'll also be blowing $700 on tires alone.
  6. Hmm, by looking at this picture, I put the fuel pump lines on wrong.
  7. You would be better off going with the 15" wheels vs 14", tires aren't that plentiful for 14" anymore. Still enough out there, but most aren't worth it.
  8. You will want these, Description lists 6x5.5 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-310-5660/
  9. Didn't catch that. He will need to find the 6 lug version of that wheel.
  10. A few more bent up lines.
  11. Here are some pictures. First off, does this look correct? I bent all new lines and replaced the rubber, but I forgot how it looked when I took it apart. This is the line which clips to the tank and runs to the Canister in the fender wall, what connects to this end of it? Maybe it will all make more sense once I get the fuel pump back up. The other end of that line This is the front part of the tank, I assume one if Feeler line and the other a return? The 3rd is the line from that canister. These are the rest of the lines I bent up, I need to know which end this 2-way valve goes on the long u-shaped line. And the lines which enter the cabin. If someone have a picture in this view, it would help me see where everything connects. Thank you, -Tom
  12. Photo links are broken. As for the Driving Lights, go for it. I have the Hella Comet 500s on my roof rack, awesome lights. Worth the $50.
  13. Wow, that turned out really well with the new plug-in! Very clean and thats how I like it. Wiring gives me a headache sometimes, and that definitively would have gave me a big headache haha! As for those twister connectors, wow. I never use that, if I do need to connect two wires together I will either use butt connectors and then tap it well or I will use bullet connectors so it will be removable/plug'N play. Soldering is always a good idea, especially for trailer wiring. I like that LED light bulb, never seen that style before, although, SuperbrightLEDs.com might have something like that. As for the Processor cooling fan! WHAT!? That sounds like a very cool idea to keep the Head Unit cool. Keep up the good write-ups, people sure enjoy them and gives us good ideas!
  14. I agree, the Sedan is still practical (Its a driving car lol) plus, its not so low that you have to pull into a parking lot at an angle. I just think some of the lines are a bit harsh and doesn't flow. With a little more work, that car could look really cool, almost a WRX-RX. Pooparu's Widebody First gen is boss though!
  15. To pull really any Subaru motor, Remove the radiator to gain more space in front of the motor, Unbolt the bellhousing, remove starter, disconnect Heater core hoses, power steering lines, Pitch stopper bar, the few electrical connectors (O2 sensor, Alternator wiring, the main engine wiring harness, Clutch cable, HVAC hose/diaphragm, and both motors mounts. That should be pretty much everything, possibly a few obvious extras, taking anything else out of the engine bay is a waste of time and possibly confusion for reinstall. Subarus are super easy, the EA82 is a very good motor/chassis to learn on. I did way back in 2006. Good luck with the swap.
  16. Whoops. The tank is from a 1983 4WD wagon (100% the Same as mine) So all the fittings are the same. I know about the two 1/4" lines on the right side of the tank that run to the Canister, I need to replace one of the soft lines that run off it, as I cut the old one. I can get some pics, I need to drop the tank again as I forgot to attach the overflow hose to the top of the tank (Whoops lol)
  17. I need some pics showing me how the rear fuel lines run, Pump to Tank, Tank to Main lines. I removed them to replace them and forgot what goes where.
  18. I like the widebody retrofit. Front looks like bits from a WRX fender. Some of the lines are kinda hard, mainly the blending of the rear flares with the body, but theres something about it I like. I do think the Silver wheels work with it, the White O.Z wheels are cool too. This car could have really been something, its too bad the person doesn't have a real eye for detail (Interior for instance) and the Scoop. But to each their own, it does have some work put into it!
  19. Do RX springs have a stiffer rate or more coils then other 4WD EA82 springs?
  20. Anymore updates on the Sephia? I liked the Audio install, Sony and Pioneer are always the brands I choose.
  21. So what is up next for Michelle?
  22. Indeed, ebay has everything. I just bought one! The 18" version is what you'll want to match the photo. http://www.ebay.com/itm/320874574639?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_3695wt_821
  23. Maybe its only a 2WD Sedan, there for the Fuel tank does not compensate for the rear diff.
