  1. Automotive Engine Rebuilders on Arcadian is a good shop, my neighbor has his bottom end redone on his V6 4-Runner. Couldn't hurt to ask them some Qs.
  2. Right on man The welds are good I think, nice penetration and no holes, and its solid. The spot welds in the center of the sheet are for more rigidity (And yes, it does help) The floor is as solid as it was originally.
  3. This is where the simplistics of Electronic Fuel Injection come into play, No worries what so ever I think the stock jets will work just fine for all your needs, I also don't know why you need so many block off caps...? From every other Weber conversion on an EA82 I've seen, I don't recall this step. Perhaps I am wrong. PS, I mailed out your clips tonight.
  4. Al's in Franklin is a crap shoot for newer Subarus, and nothing for old Subarus (Like any junkyard) Sturtevant is a good idea, they have a few Imprezas and Outbacks time to time, they were sitting on two '01-03 Outbacks a few weeks ago (Now gone) They also have 3 first gen Foresters as of right now.
  5. Damn straight! Its coming, whether the Neighbors want it to or not Yeah I'll take you up on the hood latch, might as well have an extra, the main part I needed was indeed the cable and handle, but oh well. PM me when you want to ship it out, cheers!
  6. This thread is kinda interesting.
  7. Two in the Poot one in the Toot? Yeah, the Driverside footwell isn't pretty, but it isn't rotted rotted yet. I'm gonna have to cut up pretty high due to surface rust, and trying to weld scared metal is hard, burns too too easy. But, I think I can do it (I have so far) I am looking forward to the rockers too, trying to make it all work like it did from the factory should be interesting, since I don't have much for reference (except for the complete rust free versions) Speaking of which, I should ask when dude can ship everything out
  8. So when I started today, I felt like this. Mid way thru, I felt like this. But finally at the end, with a result of this... I felt like this!
  9. Thats because they have ALL the aftermarket manufactures in AU. We could build some nice machines too, but it costs to much to ship their goodies over here, so we have to try and make our own lol.
  10. MilesFox has used a Cone filter sticking out of the hood on an EA82. But the filter will get wet and get clogged with snow, not the optimal choice.
  11. The Headlight will be interesting, I always kinda had this idea, and always wanted to see it realized. Guess we all will now! Is that the EA82 dash in there? I am wondering how the window curve is gonna match up?
  12. The college I live by uses a few old J2000s for Park'N Rec/Building Mang. vehicles, I always thought they we cool. Remember the Yellow one from "Twister" ?
  13. I've seen that Aussie Brat offroad on youtube, worked really good.
  14. I dug through my boxes of Subaru randomness, and found 2 clips. Both are missing one of the spreaded out tabs. Dunno if you still want them?
  15. I am not sure if I need a new clutch. Could have slipped due to flash rust from sitting.
  16. Because Subaru was to cheep to redesign the chassis layout from the Toyota FT-86 to accommodate AWD.
  17. Good pictures of the rear quarter repair, that gives me a good idea for my Wagon. Pictures are the bomb!
  18. OH! That can be tricky. Try seeing if you can get the clips thru that little cardboard cover next to the flip up lid in the floor, if I remember right, you should be able to get a 1 or 2 clips thru that access hole.
  19. To avoid cracking the others, you might need to remove the door panel, the draft guard plastic sheet and use a pliers to press the clip end together and then pop it out. I've broke a few trying to pry them out (Sometimes it works, and well, sometimes it doesn't lol) As for your Gate struts, you can get two new Struts from Ebay for about $23ish total. Armstrong are a great brand, I replace mine a few years ago, and they still push the gate up in the cold! I will look around tomorrow and see just how many clips I have left.
  20. Rob picked up the Tank, Rockers and Fuel Pump for me today! Thank you Subruise!
  21. Some of the EA82s have Captured studs molded with the molding and then a nut holds it from behind. Since your does have the white clips, then yes, they do pop out (Use a small thin screw driver to pop them out) If you do not want to try and remove them or if they are broke, then you can also get some Epoxy, apply it to the back side of the molding and press/hole it in place and you will never get it off again Just don't let it run down onto the exposed paint. If indeed you broke a clip or two, I might still have a few of them kicking around I could mail you.
  22. Subruise picked up all the goods today! BIG thanks goes out to Wes and Rob for making this happen, without either of their cooperation I would have been stuck. Thank you again!! -Tom
  23. More progress. Rear Cargo flooring/Subframe - Before. After, I removed all rust with a wire wheel and grinding disc, I then applied two coats of Hard Bedliner to the floor, after drying, I applied Heavy Duty Ruberized Undercoating to finish it off. Here is my first patch on the floor, Very solid and no burn throughs. 16ga steal. I then covered the other round holes. After that, I cut out of rust hole and then started welding in a new patch when I ran out of Wire! Damn, need to buy some more Fluxcore Friday. As you can see, only a few spot welds until I get more wire. Another day ends...
