Ea82->ea82t
Just because its rare doesnt mean it doesnt suck. Dollar for Dollar the ej22 is a better deal. Im telling you the ea82 turbo has cooling problems and as soon as it overheats if it hasnt been already its going to have a blown headgasket. I know the wireing is monumental but wouldnt you rather do it once and be done with it then put in your ea82t swap the wireing then have the engine blow a few months latter. Or be disapointed in the performance gains you would get out of it. trust me ej22

Guido Gets Lifted
Guido is..................................................... Causeing me problems. Got everything removed just like on the drivers side and its just not fitting. The cv shaft is hitting the lower control arm where it mounts. It didnt do this on the driverside so im confused. I dont know how one side can be different then the other. So now i wont be able to get to it until friday. So ill ask the question where do i go from here. Would renting a spring compresser do the trick just to get enough clerance into the hub.

Guido Gets Lifted
Ok got the CB installed though the antenna kinda stinks ill need a different one of those. And i got one side installed on the front lift. I might get to the other side this evening. I havent been takeing pictures like i usually do but you guys will see when its done. Oh and brent, incase this thing doesnt get done we need to figure out if you are going to take dennis in your ride or whatever is going to happen.

ok, here we go again: part deux
Some of you guys take this **** to a whole new level. You should work for nasa.

Guido Gets Lifted
Its not leaking out of the top hose but i cant find this other hose you guys are talking about.

Guido Gets Lifted
Yea i think thats the plan. I honestly wouldnt mind going old school but since i have money invested in ea82 stuff i think ill stick with that route. Yea ill start trying to locate a rust free ea82 wagon. We have a hatchback here with lower miles but i want a completely rust free car not from here so it will last longer. Maybe i can make that my vacation next year. Head up to washington and wheel with one eye for a day then rip off the good parts and send the rest to the crusher. I dont want to think about it like that but with the structure rust im noticeing i dont see it going any other way.

Guido Gets Lifted
That is the 2 inch suspension lift. If you want i know someone who has one all ready if you wanted to venture this route. And there 27x8 1/2x14 on peugeot wheels. You need different wheels if you want to lift because only a handfull of subaru wheels were above 13 inch for the 4x140 bolt pattern.

Guido Gets Lifted
Honestly this thing is a wreck. I love guido i really do but the iowa winters have been harsh on the old boy. I keep finding more structural rust. I can see 2 maybe 3 more years tops. I still have yet to install the front of the lift which im going to attempt this weekend. Poor old guy needs lots of help, but he does look friggin awsome.

Plastic Welding
LOL true but thats why i put it in the new gen area because lots of plastic bumper people in there.

Guido Gets Lifted
Ill dig into this this weekend. Where is the bypass hose located.

Guido Gets Lifted
But doesnt get to go mudding. Unfortunately this isnt a april fools joke either. Its dripping out pretty good. That puddle was after about 10 minutes of running. So it would be either put the rest of the lift on and take it wheeling while spewing coolant like that or fix the wp which i assume is leaking. I dont know if the wp is bad because there is no play in the shaft but pretty sure thats where its leaking is right under it. Probally dripping into the friggin timeing belts which ill need to do also. F*** my world.

Plastic Welding
So before my brother sold his legacy gt he wanted the split front bumper fixed. He took it to a auto body friend of mine who told him about plastic welding. At first i thought he was full of it but he procedes to pull out a dowel rod picked up at almost any store. Grabes a sodering iron and heats up the plastic and melts it spots along this crack. This crack was about 3ft long. Then after he gets it to hold into place he just melts the plastic into the crack. When it cools down it becomes as hard as original plastic. Then he sands it down flush, alittle bondo and some paint. And you can barely tell anything was done. Has anyone else heard of this before i was just amazed.

The Boomerang (Mountain Grizzly) Returns....
Your a smart man mick so ill assume you tried this. But did you try putting a torch to it. Heating it up really hot then try backing them off. Just an idea.

Vehicle Selection
I cant answer your 2nd question but i can answer the 1st. Yea its pretty much bolt on stuff but with the abundence of 4wd vehicles around unless your despirate you should go this route. Its definately not as easy as just changeing a engine.

Offroading Tips
I just kinda figured when the car stoped trying to move that was time to give up. Im not going to try any dangerous lines, or huge holes, or drive full power into a stream:rolleyes:

Offroading Tips
I thought getting stuck was half the idea. Ok so dont get stuck and dont floor it if i do. Which makes no sence because how the heck are you suspost to get out of a sticky situation if you cant gas the bejesus out of the thing. Im not going anywhere unless the front of this lift cooperates.
