  1. Bought parts for an oil change, replaced the belt and soon the oil cap. Needs a couple more things to pick up as well. Man that belt was bad.
  2. Here we go........... all in its former glory. Its not as bad as it looks though it looks bad. I have the tank and the covers. It needs a carb, light, chain, speedometer, airbox, and a few other misc parts. Motor isnt locked up but it probally needs taken apart. Lots of parts take off but got them in a box. I wish i had this thing at my house so i could work on it personally but sadly.............. well anyways the other pic is of what they are suspost to look like. Ill send updated pictures. Thinking about powercoating the engine and doing a couple other trick parts. This makes the 3rd bike weve gotten since this started. The others just need freshing up but im going all custom on this one.
  3. I can help alittle On some ford models there is a valve that can be tripped in the trunk area. A fuel safety cutoff switch. He might want to check that out first. As far as what they are worth honestly not much. I dont know what a 2000 taurus wagon would bring there but here with non running condition and over 100k probally 500 to 700 bucks. But you know the age old advice about not running your car out of gas. I would say the fuel pump is probally done with over 100k on it and running it out of fuel. Fuel pump is at the top of the tank. So its a drain and drop job. Worth it if the car ran good and looks good but not if its a pile of s***. Like mine. Oh and while you have the tank and pump out, check the float in there to make sure its opperating properly so he has a working gas gauge when its doen.
  4. See this is what happens when suberdave dropes off the face of the planet for a long time. He frankenstins this thing up. Cant wait to see it run at the track.
  5. No because you have plenty of (spare) parts lying around also.
  6. Beast.......... you have xtra cars lying aroung. Your kidding me
  7. Yea im stuck at home with the kids today, i need me some mud.
  8. I know man and i could do that but to many times this jack hasnt had enough heigth or oomph to get the job done. Its time to just get something bigger and better. Im still keeping the old jack for smaller vehicles but now its time to step up. To many times has mick jacked up the car with his floor jack with ease while it takes me forever to work on mine. Just not gonna mess with it anymore.
  9. Tired of fu*****g with this. I cant change the tire on guido because my floor jack isnt tall enough. It doenst help ive added probally 5 inches to the cars heigth but its time. Now dont get me wrong, the old 1 1/2 ton floor jack has done me great throughout the years but it isnt high enough for what i need now. Was look for recomendations on a good 2 ton maybe more floor jack for bout 150 or less. Prefferbely less. Ill buy used if i half to just want a good one. One with a large lift plate. Any help would be appreciated. ben
  10. Norton on this side of the world is a rare breed. I will be getting the sr this weekend. Pictures to follow, i hope its not a pile of trash.
  11. Correct its not a subaru im not able to afford a car newer then 88. And as far as being cocky Turbone i half to actually accomplish something to be cocky about it. And Indyblitzen your right this is not like the NASIOC. Much nicer and relaxed here. No harm no foul man, just your original post seemed unusual so i figured it was spam. My brother is looking into the 05 legacy gt though he wants a sedan. Heard they had turbo problems.
  12. I dont know if this guy is being cocky which no one likes here or hes spam which no one likes here.
  13. Mick and Indy Me and my Brother Brent Dennis wont camp but might stop buy. Who else.
  14. Yea no kidding ive seen you put away those hineys with no side effects. And now guido has a flat.
  15. Or lift it with your hands if your really strong. Sorry if people on here were kinda smart butts when answering this but really this question gets asked every day buy new people. They get alittle tired of answering the question over and over again. But really they are all great people who most have lifted alot of subarus. Please utalize the search function and the FAQ at the top of the forum and all your questions will be answered. Welcome Ben
  16. I have a feeling im going to be spending alot of time in this topic area in the very near future.
  17. You dork, why did you hack it up before you had your replacement parts.
  18. I would figure with all the rain you guys got during the year a mud terrain or a super agressive terrain tire would just suck in the rain. Great everywhere else but for daily driveing.
  19. Love the monte ss. Bet your swapin that 305 for a 350 or something along those lines. Ive always prefered the 73-77 ones but to each there own. Look up on those 2.5 motors, they can be somewhat problematic in certain areas. Looks like your on the right track though. Ben
  20. I didnt even know this swap was possible. Everyone has said the 22r in these motors was bulletproof. Will be watching this for sure.
  21. so worn down it busted through. I know its over 10 years old but it had 30k on it when he bought it and it only has 90 now. He hasnt driven it much in the last 5 years, hence the dust.
  22. See rob thats what i was thinking. But when you rock it from side to side the pass side feels squishy. I looked underneath but couldnt find anything obvious.
  23. It does have a salvage title and recieved a good smack on the driver side door area. But i dont see what that would half to do with the passanger side front leaning forward like that. Its seems about 1 1/2 inches lower then the driver side. Oh and sorry no mods except wheels and a bumper at this point but he has owned it for the last 7 years. It has always leaned alittle but only i noticed. Not with this huge bumper on you can definately see something going on.
