  1. Im curious if any ride comfort is sacraficed while doing this. I understand if you use more agressive tread tires but the overall outback setup on a legacy.
  2. We have an iowa campout coming up in a couple weeks. Its short notice but its pretty fun time. Alot of the other wisconson folks are lame and dont want to make the drive. Either way, welcome aboard.
  3. 92 legacy 2.2 is a awsome car. But a crown vic can be pretty bad a**. Was it a rusty hulk of poop.
  4. Just so you know, check the meet and greet sectionl. We are having an iowa campout.
  5. Another thing that hasnt been suggested yet is upgradeing to peugeot wheels. The wider stance will remove the squishy - dippy feeling i used to get driveing it on the highway. You dont need to get all crazy with tall tires but you get a better selection with the 14 or 15 inch wheel. Not much selection with the stock 13s. It will feel more glued to the road which is great for every day driveing.
  6. Its to bad guys your gonna miss some fun. My brother is getting his jeep straightened up so he said hes definately in. Ill be bringin some grillin items. Im thinkin brat patties, maybe if im feeling froggy ill cook up some ppq pulled pork i can just heat up on the grill. Maybe some taters and whatnot. Should be good time.
  7. Workin on it. Ive got a friend whose got the tractor trailer i just need the car hauler and enough people to want some. Then i need someone from the west coast (General Disorder) or whoever to hunt down enough rust free cars for me to get a trailers worth to the midwest. Its just finding a dam car hauler is the real problem. The way i figure it, depending on how many people wanted a car it would amount to about 500 - 600 bucks per car to get a rust free suby. But its really only worth it if we get a trailer load full.
  8. You know the west coast boys have subarus crawlling out there ***. I dont know how much it would cost but theres are rust free.
  9. Ok no more jokes. I do wish you luck, have you found a junkyard with half decent ones to replace it with. If you could getsomeone to cut you out the whole wheelwell you could just piece them together and weld them into place.
  10. I hope this isnt your daily driver. What was the plan exactly, just cut it up then go from there. I dont really have a plan as such, just going moment to moment. Winging it really. (Cable Guy)
  11. Yea it has been shown before on here. Really nice but a very pricey upgrade thats for sure.
  12. If you want to look at an old rusty lifted station wagon you can always look at mine. Sheesh. Cummon guys the fat kid wants to eat. Whose bringin what food so i can plan.
  13. Mick can bring whatever he wants, hes a big boy. That doesnt mean hes not gonna get s*** the entire weekend if he does. You didnt work hard on both the wagon and the brat to have them just sit now did you. Im planning on driveing my heap out there. Unless this is a non subaru - subaru - put a lama in your life kinda thing.
  14. Mick if you bring the truck im brinin the taurus and my brother will bring his jeep. lol thats funny the 1st non subaru subaru meet.
  15. Interested in where your getting your info. I would like to be more informed. I only use it because its cheeper.
  16. Funny thing, i knew mick had a old cobra cb in his brat and i was thinking while going through this doesnt he have a cb. Then i look and this thread is way old. I have a radioshack cb with a cheap short radioshack antenna. Works good on the trail but i dont think its tuned for miles and miles of fun.
  17. LOL damit why must i be the only responsable one. And you brought the racoon atracting peanuts last year.
  18. With the big tires on it now i really want to do the ej. Maybe when i get a house ill tackle that little project. But not in an apartment parkinglot.
  19. I was also told it came down to what type of ac system your car has installed. Pretty sure this is the dealer installed A/C system not the factory.
  20. Let me know whose bringing what for food. Its a month away so im starting the planning. My brother maybe a no show but thats only because i havent talked to him about this. So as far as i can tell its definately Me, Brent, Mick, Indy and maybe Dennis for a visit. Anyone else thinking of attending or contemplateing on attending please stand up. Its less then a month away. Like i said before i can bring a (clean) charcoal grill. Hotdogs, H-Burgers, Brats, Steaks, Kebobs, Chips, whatever just let me know.
  21. Honestly its been a few weeks since i drove it so i drove it to work yesterday. Still scares little kids and old ladies.
