  1. Save some bucks up because im working on a deal to get about 5 to 8 west coast subys to the midwest.
  2. Thanks and sorry for not being more clear. Though lots of people on here know me its always good to post your cars info. Its a 1988 Subaru DL Fuel Injected. When i do drive it it doesnt present itself that problem when going up hill. Only when starting off in 1st and 2nd gear reallly. I havent been able to check codes because one of the Previous owners disconnected the check engine light. But to be honest with 210000 on the clock i wouldnt doubt the o2 sensor is due.
  3. Fired up the old soob (ea82) the other day and let it idle for a bit. Thought id give the peddle a few kicks before turnin it off and it stumbled for a couple seconds when floored. I tried this over and over again and it did it every time. I floor it, it boggs down for 2 or 3 seconds then takes off. What could be the cause of this. Most tuneup stuff has been done.
  4. 2fast4u frknstn sidways lftndst sprsoob wagnwpt
  5. Heres a pic of 2 1978 Yamaha Sr500s we are restoring. We also have another bike in storage and are going to pick up yet another one makeing it a total of 4 sr500s. My friend is restoring his but mine im makeing into a cafe racer type.
  6. Just so you know tom, painting the inside of a car hirts the re sale ability.
  7. That stinks but will do brent. Looks like its just me, mick, indy, my brother and maybe dennis if he graces us with his presence.
  8. What happened brent, what did you tear up.
  9. Hes 15 years older then you.
  10. EA82t s are a flawed buy design. Most of the time when people get them theyve been run into the ground. But i believe you have something different. One that has been maintained its whole life. I say dont lift it man but if it doesnt already have it. Throw the 5 lug on there and make it a canyon carver with updated swaybars and bushings.
  11. I find this comment funny tom because i believe this is only the 2nd car youve ever owned.
  12. No because im a lazy a**. Im sorry i need to get on that. Proballyl a billion dollars.
  13. I wasnt calling you lame miss, just the other wisconson young bucks who said they would go for a long time but then either tore there car apart or just got to lazy to make the drive. Your all still ok in my book though.
  14. Ahh im thinkin the deal might fall through. Hard dealin with this stuff a thousand miles away.
  15. It has been discussed on which is better for offroad. Aluminum vs Steel. The question i have is now that im running 27inch tires with steel peugeot the car feels way heavy. I was curous as to the people who have run both aluminum and steel peugeot wheels have noticed a difference between the 2. I have both a steel and aluminum setup and i was wondering for driveability sake if i should switch over to the aluminum setup for a lighter feel or keep with the rugged steel. I know steel is toughter then aluminum but if i keep at this rate this clutch isnt going to last more then a few years.
  16. Yea my mechanic ability is Ok but my electrical ability is definately lacking. What i figured out is that even though i only have a single range tranny on this im still going to try and put this in. Then when i get even more money ill get a car with no rust and transfer the lift/tires/motor over to that car with a good used dual range tranny. Need to find an adaptor but latter. I dont know if im going to be leaving this to my brother to swap in arizona or bring it back for me to swap in iowa. Ben
  17. No u missunderstood. Snagged and soon to be installed.
  18. http://tucson.craigslist.org/cto/1748215866.html More to Come
  19. Drove it to work then up to tires plus to get a mud tire patched. Got a big thumbs up from all the service guys. You should of seen the look on there faces.
  20. There should be a wire kit for your legacy at the very least. You want the wire kit good sir so you dont hack up your wireing. It makes it easier to wire in the factory radio again if you decide to take it out.
  21. Bump just a few weeks away. Brother wants to know if we can ban together and replace his body mounts. I was like, its not a suby silly.
  22. I see we have similar or the same kits. Though i dont have the cubby under mine just an empty hole. Mine came with the car when i bought it. The aftermarket tape deck stereo was from the early 90s so i have a way earlier production kit. They didnt have wireing adapters either because it was hardwired to the original harness. It didnt work anymore so i took it out and replaced it with this.
  23. Now were getting into a whole new ball of wax. You want to swap motors from a ea81 to a ea82. Which is fine and dooable but its like going from a Mars bar to a Snickers bar. Sure theres more in the snickers but not enough that the mars bar can get you through the day. Depending on how much highway you have or want theres always the ej22 upgrade which involves lots of wireing and computer stuff but from what im told way worth it in the end. Plus the ej22 is one of the most durable engines subaru made. And the ej22 has 120hp vs the ea81 78hp and the ea82 98hp. Also look into getting Legacy seats to fit into that. If your not super tall they work great. And cheep aluminum 13inch wheels are easy to find. I told you if you want something bigger then 13inch wheels your going to need peugeot wheels. Try to score a set of those and your ride will (ride) alot better.
