  1. Youve seen my car before tom but we have basically the same 2inch lift. Mine are old mud terrains though but you get the idea. 27 - 8 1/2 - 14. Minimal cutting. You should be ok with what youve done already.
  2. Just thought a thread about kids, pets, wifes, other loved ones could go somewhere. I dont think most of you have seen pictures of my kids since they were born. For what they are. Oldest is 5, Twins are 3
  3. Im going to lift the front end of my car 1 more inch to level it out and get some of the extreme angle off the front cv shafts. Im curious if anyone has done this with 1 piece of 1inch square tubeing and if so how long does it need to be. Also how far apart are the bolt holes from eachother so i can tell the machine shop what to do.
  4. It took FOREVER for me to get that door for you.
  5. Yea thats my oldest daughter. She didnt like the SVX but i told her it was cool. On a side note, i dont guide her in her picture takeing poses. Thats all her.
  6. Thanks for Inviting us. Here are some pictures. SVX With Attitude. Like most this guy is saying. What the hell is that. I encapsulated the rust so that is where the black spots come from. As you can see, there is alot of rust.
  7. To bring up an old thread. How important is it to drain those block plugs if your flushing the coolant.
  8. http://desmoines.craigslist.org/rvs/1949171100.html Just get this and be done sire.
  9. Im an idiot i thought it was this weekend of the 11th but its next weekend of the 18th. So what your saying is that you guys should be able to go now.
  10. Just so you know i am reminding you again. My car is pretty ugly. Might not mesh with all the imprezas there. Brent you going or are you going to be out of town that weekend.
  11. Do you think you could do a subaru window with that. That background would look sweet on mountain grizz.
  12. I cleaned up the battery terminals and put on new ends. The cables are corroded somewhat so they will be replaced one day. But without a battery to put in it its a moot point anyways.
  13. If you want something to look good you need to prep them well. If you dont care then you dont care. I can see you need to do some finish sanding then probally a recoat and clear coat. When i did my rims i spent about an hour per rim sanding the little creases and makeing it fairley flat. Painted 3 coats primer, 3 coats black and i still had 1 rim peal paint after a year. GD is right that sandblast or sodablasting is best but they are only 13inch wheels so it depends on what you want to do with them.
  14. Either that ac is on the porch to be worked on. Or its plugged in aiming at the couch so you can sit outside and enjoy the ac blowing on you. If thats the case you are my new hero.
  15. With all positive comes negatives as well my friend.
  16. Thought i would start this thread since i have had multiple failures this past week alone. Back brakes are worn out. NO warning or anything they just started grinding on both sides Both headlights blew this week. They were 4 years old so i did get my moneys worth but while driveing home from work at night isnt the best time for that to happen. But then again it never is. Drivers Side CV shaft is bad. Its clicking when im driving in a strait line now. Its on borrowed time. Something is up with the front end. When im driveing on wet surfaces i can feel the passanger side move to the left and right but not the drivers side. Doesnt seem to effect the other front suspension though. Heat is still not great. Need to replace the rad and look at that possible leak at the weephole. I had to donate the battery to my other car because of these problems so now it wont even move. Oh and it wont stop fast idleing. Oh what a week
  17. So while attempting to fix the random jumping idle i seem to have uncovered something worse. When i replaced the IAC with a good used one i have a high idle problem now. I mean like 3 or 4 k high idle problem. It goes down at some points but then goes right back up. It has been idleing so high lately that it has blown both of my headlights out. One went out 2 days ago and the other tonight. Any ideas where this super fast idle is coming from.
  18. I understand mick and youve been planning this trip. But you are the man with the most modified subaru in the state. I just feel sad that when people need to look at a old school subaru they look at my car.
  19. YES are local pieces of crap welcome here as well. This is an old school get to gether boys. I know all the new rides will be there. Cummon mick - brent youve got to have one free dam weekend.
  20. Probally not till next year but the iowa omaha one.
  21. Thanks boys, placing calls to both people.
  22. I was thinking possibly a rx or an xt for weight but again rx only has an ea engine and the xts parts are rare to find. But if i found one beat to crud already might not be to bad of an investment.
  23. Looks nice, i so wish i had picked that up befoe you. On a side note man, you really need to get a new camera. My old cannon i curse every day i use it takes a better picture then that.
  24. Yea i hear ya, this thing starts pretty slowly so im sure the cables are corroded big time. Will be worth it if we have another bad winter. 850 cold cranking amps baby. Should get a new battery in a couple of weeks.
