Wow, it's been so long since i have been on i allmost forgot how this worked, Ok, 90 loyale, fuel pump continus to cycle with key in run position, Flooding the hell out of it, was un able to locate the diognostic plugs under the dash. It's got the 1800 TBI motor, My brother said she ran great for a few weeks then progeresivly got worse., What would cause the fuel pump to cycle and flood the motor? Trying to trade this guy off for a bike if i can get her fixed. Thanks in advance. ~Dayten~

Ok, durring the last year i have been having a problem with my headlights not working, I had to warm the car up before they would come on, somtimes sycling the ignition would speed the process up a little, but a short drive would usualy do it as well. About a week ago my left hand turn signal stoped working, i could hear the flasher going about a million miles an hour but no flashing. Yesterday while changing my water pump i see that my wiring harness has been melted by my cross pipe. about half of the wires were melted and touching one another, Got the wires all taped up and headlight still don't work., Turn signal works fine tho. Now it's not just the head lights, its the whole circuit, headlights and running lights. Is there a realay running them that might be bad?, checked all fuses, Did the "Wiggle Test" under hood and dash, double checked all the plugs i could find, replaced the switch. Any ideas? ~CHIM~

Sorry, cell phone pics kinda suck.

ok, so i was backing up yesterday and hit a damn tree!!, After saying some choise words i am thinking "What am i gonna do now". I had 2 ideas. First i could try cutting the inner panel out gaining access to the outer panel from the inside and try to pund it out. Or try to patch the panel using a cut-out from another car, They both sound like a pain in the but to me seeing as how i don't do body work. Has anyone done either?, pro- cons of both? It will never be a show car by any means but i would like to make it look nice some day, I have a soft spot for tis car, it's the only nice looking GL-10's i have seen around here.

I also noticed an increase in performance, but only slightly. ~CHIM~

Start by looking at what you do need. 1.The vacuume advance that runs from your disty to the front of the weber. 2.The large hose that runs from the manifold to the break booster. 3.a smaller hose that runs from the manifold to the firewall on the passenger side (for the heater controls). 4. the switched hot wire for your choke (if it's electric). If it's not one of those it can be removed. I like to remove the intake so i can remove the hard lines under the intake, also i remove the egr valve and put a plate in it's place and use brass plugs to cap the egr pipe in the head. Less is more, i like simple setups, easyer to work on. ~CHIM~

does anyone know what the timing on the EA-81 JDM is?, i fugured it should have been the same, but it doesn't really act like it's on, i get it closer to 12 degrees BTCand it acts better. just curious if they had different timing. ~CHIM~

oh yeh, my bad this pic. was taken after we put the motor in the wagon, all the holes are present for mounting the pump tho.
-
oh yeh, the brat doesn't have power steering, it's in an EA-71 brat.
-
yeh, when the dual carbs where still on it it had more power than my ported motor with the weber, not sure what year it came out of, yes it's an EA-81 1800, out of all the motor's/heads i have seen none looked like this. ~CHIM~
-
Ok, my budy recently had a rear main bearing go out in his old motor, So we pulled the motor out of my camo brat, the one that had the dual carbs. Anyway i was a bit shocked when i removed the exhuast from the brat motor. My question is, what are these? Whats with the wall seperating the ports? Notice the shape of the port and the starnge stud offset?, the exhuast flange from the wagon don't fit these heads? ~CHIM~

I thought so as well, there a cb shop here in my town, the guy that works there used to be a communications officer in the navy, very smart guy, he said no less than 18 feet, and my cobra radio instruction say the same thing. Don't know why, just know that's what it says. ~Dayten~
-
first of all, your cable is too short, most cb manufactures suggest 18 feet. Just rool it up and stash it somewhere, i mounted my radio the the headliner rite in front of the rear view mirror and the antenna to the cab. ~CHIM~

Does anyone know if there is a meathod of testing amp output?, i was thinking an ohm multimeter but not sure if thats just volts. ~Dayten~

This is a good buddy of mine, does a very good job and cheaper than most fabricators! He can and will make anything custom, he's the one that does all my exhuast and mods, he will be making my bumpers. i have an ea-81 he can use for a template to make yours, give him a call and tell him Dayten told you about him. ~Dayten~
