well, needless to say i have been slacking a little bit..............ok ALOT, i finally finished filling in holes and got paint on it. Got all of my wireing done, All of my accessorys work now, Dual battery isolator is set up. And my switchboard, painted and engraved:headbang: . I drove it from my parents place back home about 3o miles, and discovered that i have a damn blown head gasket, During the process of driving it back from my budy's shop it got hot, had no cooling fan but figured i would be moving to a quick point and didn't need it, that was before i knew the clutch was slipping and counln't break 25mph. Getting the new gaskets in tomarrow tho. So, things left to do? 1.Getting the LSD put in the rear 2.Rear disk breaks installed 3.the CB 4.black 14 inch wheels and new tires Later on 1.tube bumpers all around 2.skid plates 3.roof basket 4...................i'm sure i'll think of more:grin: . ~CHIM~

  7. Definition: A type of flat rubber drive belt that is used to turn multiple accessories on the front of an engine. It is called a serpentine belt because of the way it snakes around the various pulleys. Many vehicles now have a single serpentine drive belt because it eliminates the need for several separate V-belts. A spring-loaded pulley maintains tension on the serpentine belt. This does away with the need to retension the belt when it is replaced. Serpentine belts generally last 25% to 50% longer than conventional V-belts. ~CHIM~
  8. Does anyone know if EA-82's ever came set up with the surpintine bent setup, My dad is looking to change over, If they exist im looking for all the pully's nessasary, power steering pump, waterpump, alternator, and crank. don't need the AC pully. Tahnks in advance. ~CHIM~

yeh, i had a minor set back, the clutch i put in it was sliipin to the point i could put in in first with the e-brake and it wouln't die! I got the new clutch in it and drove it yesterday, not sure if it's just a heathy motor or the new pistons or the port and polish, but it acculy does better than my last carbed car, and it was stock. I should be ready for paint by tomarrow, have alot of wiring to do yet, the ecu came out yesterday and cliped alot of unused plugs onder the hood and dash. I'll keep you guys posted with pics as cool stuff happens. ~CHIM~

  15. I pulled the #1 piston with ease acculy, but in the vent that i down't end up changing pistons, how would i go about putting it back without spliting the block?
  16. ok, another dumb question, how do i keep the rods in place while i put the wrist pins in place? Am i gonna have any clearance issues with the spfi EA-82 pistons? ~CHIM~
  17. also, does anyone have the link to the video that explains this, i saw it a while back and can't find it now.
  18. Ok, i searched the best i could, i am wanting to put 1600 pistons into my EA-81 1.8. First off, are the rings the same? second, any special tools needed? Third, any precutions i have to watch for. ~CHIM~
  19. Bump, anyone know if EA-82 booster and master cylinder will fit the EA-81's?
  20. thats what i thought to, but i guess it could have changed in the last week.
  21. um, yeh your wrong, it's an EA-81 GL-10 turbo wagon
  22. i have what i belive to be a master cylinder going out in my 84 gl-10, i have a large amount of EA-82 parts and was wondering if the EA-82 break booster and master cylinder will fit the EA-81's. ~Dayten~
  23. the upeer line goes to the thermostart housing and the lower line runs to a plugged hole on the bottomfrom of the passanger head. your gonna need the ea82 downpipe as well, the flanges are different. I can't remember if the cross pipe had to be changed tho. ~Dayten~
