out by my old place

oh yea! the staters love lifted subaru. i got pulled over all the time "no splash guards" "sounds like my exhaust is modified" "music is too loud" "wheels protrude outside of the fenders more than 2 inches" ive been pulled over for ************ that wasn't even true like a headlight out. not in a million years would you find something like that on my rig (i carry a spare ) i do my best to keep them at bay but they always find something and you rig is a little higher, well it looks like its 8" higher. i hope they leave you alone it sounds like you haven't had a problem (i traveled over 150 miles at times in one stretch, that's alot of different city's and county's with their own set of personal quota to meet) anyways im gonna have to see ur rig some time. when business gets rollin at my shop (ordering a master mechanic set of tools from matco tools on tuesday) ill be making 2 rigs and eventually (in a year or so) a long travel style subaru buggy.

nice! ohh i wonder what the cops are are gonna say/do. do you plan to fix the camber ever?
-

-

-
hoping to make it a lax place (be able to give "discounts" to "friends" but business first) opens the 15th. ill be building a few rigs once things get rolling. my old 87 will get a 1.8 powerplant (my way of sayin im going to completely build the 1.8 so it turns the 30's with no problem) (i dont want to ej it) and i have plans to lift a 96-98 outback sport 6" and put a 4.11 dual range trans and rear diff in it (snow rig)

yea kuwait city is full of surprises ill have 2 new subarus when i get home so this isnt over yet:grin: and thanks?
-
easier said than done with no tools and a baby on the way.. i never entered my suby a beauty pageant anyways so as long as it performs im content:rolleyes:
-
yea cause im going to Kuwait for18 months and its just gonna sit under my pine trees and rust, get moldy, and all that stuff that goes with it. not just that but BILLS... nuff said.. i love this rig to death but life is well, being life:-\

yea i thought that through when i had my tranny out. while laying under the ru i thought of an amazing idea but toold time and money limit me right now... run 2 "tubes" from the crossmember to the mustache bar on the outside of the unibody rails acting as "rock sliders" but really being support for my front and rear bumpers and when i thought of dropping the trailing arm mounts i came up with another crossmember design for the trailing arms so its basically a rear sub frame:rolleyes: we will see how it goes... by that time it will need an ej lol
-
i bought it lifted and the trailing arms are stock.. the trailing arms are the only thing that are not "lifted" oddly... ill doing my own lift so everything is lined up and spaced out right...
-
is a 4" sjr:rolleyes: ill be fixing that when i do the 6" lift this year lol and it looks worse than it is in the pics these are 235/75R15 "29 inch tires"
-
yea HTi makes tough ************ lol and it was nice down here we even saw sun i love the first pic.. my subaru is driving up a mountain side flattening trees (i know im on a little hill and those are just ferns but hey..)
-
well if i woulda known you were trading:rolleyes: its not a bad sub you just cant push them yanno my buddy maxes his rms and its whining now:confused: ive had a p2 and p3. i loved em. if it wouldn't have been for the over sized ported box i prolly would have done some "sound searching" with the volume dial and blown it cause they do not hit in big sealed boxed very well. your better at this than i am. im just listing life experiences
-
no im gonna black out the background and leave it.. the point was to fill the dip with the letter making it look "stock" to the average person (not a subaru nut)... i got them off ebay for next to nothin.. good deal on my part:) i went to clean my other one (the actual stock one) i left it in a bowl of cleaner on the porch and came back to find it broken in half??

mine was... i ordered a bushing kit for $50 and fabbed up the T bar bushing setup. will this info be of use? ill go unbolt everything and measure out my bolt and bushing if it will help anyone out my shifter is TIGHT now it stays in gear and you can tell what gear its in when you look at the shifter super smooth transition too..
-
got my new anti theft:grin: Ruger SR9
-
the T bar that the shift linkage bolts to on the tranny (moves in and out and is connected to the tranny by a pin) may not have a bushing. mine did not all it had was a fat bolt through it that was way too small. so all my gears felt like neutral... i cut the old bolt off (because i just bolted the tranny up and the bolt was put in backwards so i couldn't pull it out) pulled the linkage re-drilled the linkage holes to match the new bolt which wasn't as wide as the t bar hole then i cut a piece of copper pipe to sleeve the bolt. now everything is tight aside from the play from the tranny itself which isn't much at all..
