  1. open your imagineation.. if your not ready to weld yet.. get a thick black garbage bag, roll of gorilla glue tape, rattle can undercoating and some h2o resistant adhesive spray.. now clean up the surface area the best you can on both sides go on the inside and spray the rotted area with the adhesive spray, lay down a single sheet of that black garbage bag let it cure then tape it off really good. go to ur wheel well and do multiple coats of that undercoating to keep the water out and strengthen the patch.. that's a good temporary fix. should keep the water out till your ready to work on it
  2. view of the capacitor and normal listening level:) heres my BASE HEAD vid i made to show what it can do.. (just for you rob:grin:) just the inside of my ru vocal test (someone said my bass would drown out the vocals...)
  3. weigh the time and money on the two options you have before you... whats best for you?
  4. you live in WI just give up:lol: no im kidding i mobed out of fort McCoy and man everyone there had rusted out cars its insane.. if your good with measuring and cutting AND welding just cut the wheel well out of another wagon and weld it in... the rest is fairly easy to do with scraps of sheet metal. i say getting a new body is waaay more work.. if you've never done body work well heres a good learning point.. its going to be covered by plastic too so if it doesn't turn out pretty your still ok:)
  5. good thing its not a top fuel drag subaru or he'd have delivery problems with all those bends:lol: nice rig.. i love the bling on the... dirt (is that safe to say) i got new rear hatch struts my hatch wouldnt stay open unless i held it for 10 seconds
  6. nice rig.. ive never seen you before.. you must stay close to home:)
  7. HTI want a link? click here i had the front custom make tho its not like his stock design.. i said take this http://www.applehill4x4.com/images/bumper014.jpg and morph it to look and perform on the subaru i wanted the front receiver for the winch
  8. i love the dcu's... man when summer hit in iraq... we still had to hold up to our dress code.. couldn't even take our acu jackets off. so id ditch the acu's, put on a pair of my loose fitting dcu's and be 50% cooler.. i didn't like my plain tan ones they have drag straps in them that limit my reach and when you reach up with coveralls on you crush... i know (about the bumper) im soo excited.. my stock bumper cover is faded and cracked it really bringin my poor subarus look down
  9. thats what i thought:rolleyes: but i wasnt about to start pounding and psibly ruin something.. im just gonna go to the junkyard in the morning and grab another hub assembly bolt it up and bled the brakes.... much easier for now.. in a month ill get all new bearing and install them now that i know about the threaded ring.. THANKS A TON:banana: i got mad and went inside after i destroyed the inner bearings.. i was on my way to a subaru meet today in auburn, went to wash the ru and when i left the car wash it was squealing:eek: man that ruined my day... i broke out the steam cleaner and did some detailing.. tire shined my tires and my engine hoses.. im not winning with buying all these add ons and having parts break.. complete ej22 swap coming next month
  10. 1987 gl 4x4 rear passenger side wheel bearing
  11. i disconnected the axle.. pulled the bearings as the inners were bad now to get the new ones back in... i gotta pull that lip off in the back... anyone fluent with wheel bearings? is that lip threaded? or do i squeeze them back into place through the outer side?
  12. god damn cops love subarus:lol: they got me the other day too!
  13. no ************.. nice find:eek:
  14. in between a rock and a hard place on that one... whats it cost to have the harness done? $250.... whats an engine cost? $450+ so if i bought this setup (engine ecu and harness) for $450 then paid $250 to have the harness made (maybe do it myself if i wanna wait longer) that = $700 ill look into this more
  15. front speakers and rear struts little bit og cutting and grinding to make spacers tapering up to make the bracket sit level cut it to clear the bracket grinding off the bracket lip so it clears the door panel all done on this side Now the struts Soo much easier than the junk yard rigs no impacts needed i even got the misses to join in while i tackled other stuff (crazy being 7 months pregnant and all) shes my sidekick most of the time see anything weird? what about now? well the shocks are compressible by hand.. blown? idk possibly before (and rubbed like crazy even when turning) After oh soo much better! and no its measured from the same spot... so there's an inch difference.. might be 3cm deeper in the tread but there's a huge difference FRONT BUMPER!!! not here yet.. will have pics of it installed once it gets here (DUH)
  16. ive seen hows the power range?
  17. well its fi.... and i know about the coil disty deal:grin: delivery means something sometimes:rolleyes: so it looks like im kinda forced to do an ej swap for power..
  18. dang.... and yes ram makes the heads
  19. ive been looking into the ej22 swap a lot lately and the wiring is stopping me from leaning more in that direction. what about new high flow heads and a msd ignition set up (i have the blaster coil, just need the disty and 10.2mm wires) for my 1.8 fi with straight pipe and GOOD muffler. think it would put enough pep in its step to satisfy me?
  20. CLICK THIS they can do anything Subaru engine. and will have answers for your many questions:grin:
