so you sure there wasn't a penny under the seat??? or you left the dome lamp on??? those are important things too... if you find a penny can i at least have half??? -

hmmmmm... a mystery... sounds like a job for ME!!! hahaha... this is coming from the same guy who can't figure out how to get an axel off... bloody piece of poo... Could it be spoiled pistons??? maybe something of the wrong size??? its problably going to be something really crazy... like there was a penny under the seat... or the dome lamp was left on... or maybe... just maybe... you have a flat tire??? ok ya i'm done... -
this is what i have gotten from all the stuff i have read... it is a 50/50 split all the time unless slipage or in a turn(ie. when taking a turn it shifts the power to the side wheels for better traction)... now this is for the standard tranny... for auto... it is a 90/10 split... unless your accelerating straight in which it is a 50/50... same for turns and slipage as the standard... as for the tilty thing... thats crazy cool...

would the gen2 targa strip fit on my gen1?? i am guessing no... or else they would just call it the brat targa strip... if they are different then could you make some gen1 ones??? maybe... for free??? hehehe... i'll pay... with CANADIAN MONEY!!!! i win this round... ohhhh geeez i need something to do... ok ya... i might want to get some other ones for my brat... i dunno yet... thanks!

Hi all, i just wanted to say thanks to Jeff(aka. one eye) and Brian for coming all the way up to my house to help me with my brat... You guys were great... you told me what was wrong and even brought me up some parts... it was a fun day... they came up... we went to wendy's they had some food... screwed the cash lady my giving her american and canadian money... and almost... almost rolled my dad's isuzu rodeo in the dirt parking lot.. even though nothing got fixed (sorry Jeff... the valve adjustment didn't work... although i probably didn't do it right... ) it was still a fun day... your brat is cool Jeff! thanks,
-
hahaha... you got odd looks... ok now i've got you beat... i did 20 minutes of carb adjustment to my 79 brat in the IKEA parking lot... Not only was that a wierd site but also in Canada there aren't any brats... there are like 4... so it was definatly an odd look situation... hehe... looks good though...

Ok... this is my plan... andi don't think it will work without some modding but i'll throw the plan out anyway... why don't you cut off the tire mount bracket out from under the hood then weld it too some steel sheetmetal or maybe some bar... then weld the bar or sheetmetal too the back of the hatch... vuala!!! you bolt the tire on using the original hardware and you don't have to worry about having to open the tire to open the hatch... now you will probably have to get some new air shocks for the hatch... this is definatly not a make the car look nice way of doing it... but if the tire is on then knowone will ever know that underneath the hatch is ugly... also... i don't know if the hatch by itself is strong enough to hold the tire... thats what the bar was for... to spread the load... ok thats my scoop!

me and one eye are going to meet up with some other guys... but i don't really know were you are... depending on your location we could meet up before i meet up with one eye and we both head on down together... and ya i was thinking of meeting up with those other guys in seattle to... have a caravan of 40 some odd cars or something like that...
-
no the exaust doesn't have to be above water because it always has a posative pressure pushing out... if you stall your car then the exaust gets fludded... but it doesn't matter...

i'm full of stupid ideas when i am on vacation... and after have two vacation of sitting around i have two good ones worth posting... the first one is the subaru boat... and this one is my ultimate cool air intake... so if i am right the cooler the air going into the engine the bigger them boom the more power... so what would happen if you ran it through the AC in the car... instead of the fans blowing into the passenger place the air goes into the engine... cold air bigger boom! is this a really bad idea or what??? i don't really know if there is a limit or something to how cold a cold air intake can be but... AC makes cold air... thanks for humoring me everybody!

i was thinking of making a boat using a subaru... i was thinking of a EA-81 or 82 engine... i am thinking of an aluminum boat hull (small... 14ft and under) and then attaching it to an inboard-outboard idea... i was even thinking of a jet from a ski-do or something... i'm not expecting it to be fast or anything... just a fun boat that i can say is a subaru... i have seen many people who say it won't work... an aluminum engine can't take the stress??? i would always respond with "its no ordinary aluminum engine... its a subaru engine!" but that not holding up to well... and now for my actaul design... i haven't drawn it up or anything but i got it all in my head... i want an aluminum twin hull for stability(i know a twin hull in 14ft is very uncomin)i would cover the front of the hull for a big boat look and a place for a gas tank... have the interior of the subaru in the boat... seats, dash, steering wheel, the whole bit... and behind it all a nice subaru engine... i would swap in a fresh water cooling system and what not... i would also remove the air cleaner and have a big tall snorkle for a odd look... maybe a frame over the boat for protection and look... thanks for all your imput, PS: i'm not really sure where to post this so move it if i have it in the wrong spot...
