oh ya i did... i just tightened the hoses... it was from when i pulled the engine and trans out for a clutch and tranny job... it was my first time and i completely forgot to tighten the hoses... it was exacly what stupidru said...

i bet i can borrow my buddies 8.5inch tv... and screw your ps2! XBOX all the way!!!! if we get 3 more tv's and xbox's with controllers then we can play 16 people at a time... but ya... NV Zeno's got a point... but on the other hand it could be fun...

i think it would be interesting to see what would happen when a bug flies into that turbo... or maybe a rock??? CABLAMO!!!!! hahaha looks fast... if you couldn't see the turbo then it would be a great sleeper car... pull up beside some unsuspecting civic ricer and blow his doors off... haha!

I haven't proved this but the factory rating for an 05 outback with 250hp engine in it can do 0-60 in 4.9sec... the add bragged about it being faster then BMW and porche...

ok dude... you got a problem... you want a brat and Canada doesn't have any... i have seen 1 gen2 brat... it was grey... by the way... does anybody know who owns it??? there is a gen1 rust 81 brat on buysell... do a search... that is the best your going to get... i got my brat from oregen... ask John(mudrat79)... he get mine for me and brought it half way up... but there is a big problem with bringing up cars from the US. they have to pass vihicle inspection... its hard... 1 third of cars on the road won't pass... let alone old cars... new cars fail... i'm still working on my car... but if you do buy a brat you gotta get it from the US... think John has a few rust free Californian brats... that was about a month ago... give him a call... sorry i don't have the # right here with me buy if you do a search on mudrat79 you will see the # in his sig... good luck!

when my dad bought the legasy wagon (01) i wasn't amazingly pleased with it... (mind you this was when i thought subaru was just another car company... i have found my way...) it was a wagon!!! the wagon part made me kinda sick... it was one step closer to a minivan... but now i see how cool it is... they are perfect for families... not only does the size of the family matters but also the SIZE OF THE FAMILY and when it was my brother and i in the back we had to be comfertable... you kids are going to be growing(as i am sure you have learned:lol: ) i am 5'11 and my brother is 6'3 and we both like to streach out when driving... i have no complaints... and we make constant trips to whistler(2hr average) and i am always comfortable... my dad isn't a crazy go 90 in a 50 zone(in KM!!!) driver but when he wants to go the legasy can really dish it out... you don't need the turbo... if you really want to drive fast use the liberty... then crash it... then go buy another subaru!!!

ok so if a EA81 is best run at 87 octane then what would my EA71 be run at??? just a side note but you can buy this fuel additive stuff that will make 93 octane into 106 octane... i saw it on trucks and thought it was cool... i wonder how much of a power gain there will be if you ran 106 if any power gain???

Just a Justy: the isuzu canada thingy... are you sure there is still an izuzu, saab, saturn... it happened fairly recently... as in a few months ago... they might just be trying to get rid of old merchandise... i didn't here this directly from isuzu... i heard it from a nissan dealership... the guy used to work for isuzu so i still don't really know if it is true... but i haven't seen any new isuzus around... maybe it is different on the east coast...

first off... whatever you do... do NOT do something like that stupid jeep commercial with the mother getting blocked in my the semi and having to "4wheel-it" over a log then over a pile of dirt... i hate that commercail and want it to die! ok... now that i have that out... i have noticed that not many people reolize that subaru is a fairly old company... i remember that chevy commercial with a bunch of people having different chevys of different ages... when we bought out 01 legasy i thought subaru was almost a new company(ie. came out in the 90's... how unimformed i was:rolleyes:) you should have a commercial showing loyal subaru costomers doing what they love... (rallying, off-roading, racing...) but don't just show new models but show old ones... definatly have the new cars being a large part of it but showing old ones will make it sound like a subaru "community"... and there is... just like the chevy one or the civic nation... on the note of the civic nation with all the civics driving though the salt flats together and stuff... you could show that civic nation driving then doing over some "rough terrain" and all crashing then have the subaru line come out and pass them... it would be funny...anybody agree???

my parents own an isuzu rodeo... its a great truck but my dad got pissed when he found out Isuzu was owned my GM... but here is an interesting thing... isuzu got pissed off at GM and left them... isuzu has no more representation in Canada... so you guys up here in Canada with me who like isuzu... you gotta go to the states or buy a used one... but ya... isuzu has nothing to do with subaru as far as i know... and the thing about the off-road justy... it's not worth it... its not as powerful, it's got worse suspention and its only a single range... but rally! they are great for rally... if you wanna make a rally justy it would be cool... but for off-roading... go for a GL or DL... or maybe even a brat!

you think you guys have it bad... 30 years??? not bad at all!!! up here my friends 69 datsun 510 had to go through smog(or aircare as we call it)... but ya anyway... i have a few tricks to get you though smog that work... jack up your idle speed to 1500rpm... or around there... just make it idle really fast... before you go in run the car till it is very very got... almost redlining hot... put in really good fuel... it helps... i dunno about you but up here i have to use a 4wd aircare machine... and they break a lot... if all else fails you can bring it in on studded tires... you cannot run a car with studded tires on an aircare machine... they might just let you pass... i have never actually used any of these methods because i have yet to aircare my car aso i don't know if they work... but good luck!

yah! thats what i was thinking of... except it would hinge in the middle so you could fold it over then sit in the jump seats... but good work... we should design it and build it!!! then sell them for bags of money!!! nah... but instead of sheet metal i think diamond steel looks better... it would be cool and still keep the look of the car the same...

you guys have really got it bang on with the legasy... my parents drive an 01 legasy(and an isuzu rodeo)... but we live in Vancouver and we make constant trips to Whistler Blackcomb... a lot of people are afraid to drive the sea to ski highway in the dark during a snowstorm and i constantly see cars in the ditch... mostly big trucks, little cars, buses(ya i saw a bus in a ditch... actually two... they hit each other then into the ditch!), mini vans, SUV... the only car i haven't seen in the ditch is a Subaru!!! maybe you could do a thing with the sea to ski or other dangerous road... (sea to ski is the most dangerous road in Canada i think...) but we never worry when were in our legasy... i used to feel safe in the truck but now i don't feel as safe in the truck... i dunno why... its because the subaru is safer!!! i don't really know how you could use this... maybe a bit about safety... ours is a legasy wagon... but i don't really think of it as a wagon... i think of it as a subaru and ONLY a subaru... when anybody says, "oh did you take the wagon?" i would say, "eh? ohhh you mean the subaru... YES!" --- there you go! a good slogan!!! does anybody else feel this... you don't drive a sadan, wagon, coupe, or what ever... you drive a SUBARU!!! --- ah ha! another one!!! this kinda makes me think... owning a subaru has some prestige to it... not like "i went to harvard" type of prestige... i don't really know what it is... but i have writen far to much and i am done... hope this helps in some way...

i wanted one for my brat to... i think the canopy takes away from the look of the car... so i was thinking what i wanted... but i was thinking of something that could lock... so i came up with a design in my head of one to be made of diamond steel plates and square tubing... but then i wanted something where i could use the jump seats... so i came up with a new design still using diamond plate... it would pivot at the wheel wells and fold over flat... then you can open it like a trunk and lock it... and still use the jump seats... i just don't know how i would seal the box around the jump seat head rests... does anybody know what the h*ll i am talking about??? anyway... good luck with that...

i am 16 and a proud owner of a MANUAL 79 brat... i ahve yet to actually drive it on a road but i have logged many hours on that car... i am learning to drive on the road using an auto but i am very capable of useing a standard... and trust anybody who has used one... an old soob with an auto is horrible... the 3spds really put a drain on the engines power and it feels like you have a hampster under the hood giving the power... but if he really cannot drive a stick(the only reason i can think of is loss of hands or feet!) then i guess you could look around for a few months in search of one... but however it goes... good luck!!!
