  1. Me too!!! I haven't been a bit of help with this phase, but the design is all in Scott's head.
  2. +1 One word...liability. Maybe find a board member nearby, and bring beer.
  3. If the cost isn't an issue...SSR's rule. You know I'm a big fan of pizza cutters, so my vote's for the narrow SS. http://forums.jpmagazine.com/70/805489/jeep-tires/mud-tires-stay-away-from-narrow/index.html
  4. Kool, that should help a bit, especially with some exhaust work done! Ever get that glasspack put on? ~Eric
  5. Makin a flatbed there, Brian? Should go great with all that weight gone.
  6. Sawzall's the best way, John!!!
  7. Those were a craigslist find and were pulled, so I couldn't say for sure. Nissan truck and 15", but not as new as pathfinder?
  8. Sale pending with Jason. The tough part will be getting everything prepped to get the swap done ASAP.
  9. Here's some pics of the NWOG stickers and some body work I've done Time for a EJ... The stock engine has a blown head gasket and I'm not putting any more money into a EA82 with over 200K. Started cheap and easy, while waiting on my tax $. This is a ac cond. pusher out of a '01-02 Kia Sportage...and could very well be the holy grail for EJ swaps. Not including soldering the Subaru plug on it, we're talking like 5 minutes to figure out how to mount it. Bolted through existing hole: And both bottom mounting ears can be cable tied or bolted: ...It has begun
  10. Looking goooooooooood! I like your idea of replacing the doors with as many colors as possible. New fenders as well!?!
  11. 8" lift and EA81 is cool enough, but any other plans for it? Love the color...it's not maroon!!!
  12. I likes it! It'll be good to see the Ol' white fixed up.
  13. You really are blessed with trails in that area, just look at all them pretty red stars http://nwjeepn.com/WAtrails.htm
  14. Back from the dead Looking back on my plans for this build, there is one major thing left. I've just been on hiatus, whilst enjoying the fruits of my labor. Pics to come shortly!!!
  15. We need more subaru models, eh!?! What kind of struts would you use with that setup? I assume they would be the only factor limiting flex.
  16. Good to see you working on a new rig, man... especially since there wasn't much snow for your brat this year :-\
  17. Love the vid of John's empty roof rack, that's big enough for a matress. Looks like I missed out on some quality mud there!
  18. Peace portal rd. near grandview, under the power line towers. Likely PSE owned, but it's used by bike riders and off roaders all the time. Don't know if we'll do a full-blown meet there or not, but I'll prob go within a month or so. PICS, PICS, PICS!!! Hope you're all back by now.
  19. That's too bad, I was hoping it was no worse than my issues. Maybe it can be done by next month for Custer? Have a good time...eagerly awaiting pics!
  20. Nice work...I like the design. It would be nice if your spare could squeeze under the back rail, as hefting a wheel around at that height can be tough. ~E
  21. I never tried LSD. I run with a welded rear and drive 'bout 60 miles round trip from work. Most of the time I just pull an axle, but I have gotten lazy and commuted locked also. U-turns, parallel parking, etc...no big deal. Yes, the tires chirp some, but I think most people first notice the fact that it's a lifted subaru. Tire wear is minimal too. The front drive tires will get more wear anyway. Off road it is the best traction available, period.
  22. I can be there at 6:00. Anyone else....wanna make this a work party!?!
  23. It would be easier with square tubing, but this worked fine for me. That's just a L-bracket attached with two U-bolts.
