  1. Sweet! I wish I could read Japanese!!
  2. jbbvw did this on his EA81 and did not have to move the control arm mounts. I would ask him. He explained a lot of it to me.
  3. Do you want to contact the previous owner? I mean the one that had it before the guy that you got it from. He is on a Maine subaru site that I am part of. PM me your email and I will give it to him and he can maybe help you out.
  4. We don't need a title for a vehicle over 15 years old in Maine, that's why he never got a title for it in Maine. All we need is a bill of sale. It's not a lost cause! Take the time and get the paper work that you need, you will just have to wait a little longer, that's all
  5. I'm still planning on it but I have not registered yet either, just want to make sure I can make it before I absolutely commit.
  6. Well he did call it a pickup, so the confusion is understandable:grin:
  7. Let's see some pics of your rig!
  8. I agree, you don't have to remove the whole thing, but I always remove everything, even the caliper bracket, just to lube everything up. Those caliper bracket bolts often rust in there really good, so it's good to take them off, clean 'em up, lube 'em and then reinstall.
  9. I won't say too much cause I like the adjustable struts as well, but Monstaru is right, My lifted Brat corners like crazy!!! Unlike most lifted vehicles, it does insanely well around sharp corners at speed
  10. It's a cat:lol: no actually I think he put lift blocks in the rear
  11. An aftermarket clutch kit will work just fine. I have actually never used an OEM one, not because I have anything against them, but just because you can get good ones for less money and they will last just as long as OEM, as long as they are driven correctly. Good luck!
  12. So I just read this on another local forum I'm on, thought you guys would like to know! This is from a dealer. [rumors ] The only thing definite from Subaru is that North America is not getting the diesel. Unconfirmed rumors are the Outback and Legacy will be seperate platforms for 2010. One will have a longer whellbase and generally be larger, while the other is a modified Legacy platform with a shorter (similar to current platform) wheel base. A CVT trans is coming. A 6 speed Automatic is coming. Stock Subarus are designed to tolerate only 10% alcohol, yet gasoline transporters and retailers are allowed to add another 10% each above the Federal allowance of 10%. So, currently down south some fuel retailers are selling 30-40% alcohol gasoline and its having adverse effects on Subarus. The Fed 10% has loop holes which are causing bad things to happen to Subarus and non-Subaru performance cars. Be aware when the New England states change from the winter fuel to the less volatile summer fuel your car may or may not like it.
  13. yeah what scares me in the pics is, the black painted rocker panels, sometimes a sign of cheesy body work! But if it's in decent shape, jump on it!!
  14. Sweet dude! Congrats, still can't wait to see it in action!! Good job
  15. If that's original, it's got to be a very rare color. I've never seen that color before
  16. yeah looks real clean!! That's the tough part, finding one that's in decent shape! Good luck with it!
  17. I'd drive 800hp on the street! I know of several 600+horsepower STI's driving on the street. And these were on an AWD dyno, the only accurate one in the state of Maine. I think it would be a blast
  18. I have a brand new adjustable set that fit EA82:grin:
  19. Yeah, keep in mind I have an EA81. But yeah I can cruise along at 65-70 ok.
  20. Actually the 5 spd dual range is a much stronger tranny than the 4 spd!
