Which rear anti-sway bar set-up for Impreza
bratman18 replied to ferox's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXLegacy and Impreza rear sway bars are different. Your best bet would be to get the stuff from a newer Impreza that came with a rear sway.

Gave it to her!
Haha, glad someone else has my sick sense of humor.

Gave it to her!
If I had a woman that didn't approve of the car I drove, I'd ditch her!! Sounds like you have a good one!!

Buying strut spacers for 92 Legacy?
The cheapest and best quality that I have found are paranoidfabrications.com I have dealt with them many times, and always with great results.

My '83 GL: The Ski Wagon
Or you could make something. The PO of my BRAT made a nice wooden piece that attached to the front of the stock radio console, and then the the radio was mounted through that. It allowed the radio to fit without bottoming out in the dash.

My Gen 1 Brat Swap{Franken Motor}
You need an UEL header for the Suby rumble. And then chances are some sort of custom cat back for best fitment on the Brat, and a decent muffler.

Struts, Springs, or Both?
bratman18 replied to JT95's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThis is actually pretty common. It is the springs that cause it to sag. You could buy new springs, but they will just sag again after they break in. You could just buy saggy butt spacers to even up the suspension. http://www.paranoidfabrications.com/shop/category/subaru-impreza/saggy-butt-spacers/

Did it come from the factory with the LSD? I was wondering about mine. I have the same thing only green. Just in case you don't know, you have to put the newer 03-08 style rear struts in to be able to clear a bigger tire.

Is this unacceptable fuel mileage?
bratman18 replied to 987687's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIt's possible that my suspicions are wrong. The numbers just seemed low to me, from the cars I have owned and driven. But it may very well be right where it should be!

Is this unacceptable fuel mileage?
bratman18 replied to 987687's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYes but it can also be looked at as the engine isn't working as hard with the lower gears to get up to speed.

bratman18 replied to 987687's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXSet my trip when I fuel up, and the check it when I fill up again...........And my speedometer is spot on with the tire size.

Is this unacceptable fuel mileage?
bratman18 replied to 987687's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI have to say that I'm the one that told 987687 that I didn't think this was good mileage. I have a 98 Forester auto, with 27.5" tires and I easily get 30, if not more at times. It's all pretty much rural driving, no highway. Another family member of mine gets 30+with his 98 Outback 5spd. It just seems low to me.

98 OBW brake slide pins
bratman18 replied to Rooster2's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXNo, you need to grease that pin. Just because it moves freely now, doesn't mean it always will. As I stated before, grease it as you did the lower slide pin.

98 OBW brake slide pins
bratman18 replied to Rooster2's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYes, lube it just as you would the lower slide pin. There should be a boot that covers it just like the boot that covers the lower slide pin. It serves the same purpose.

- caliper advise??
Yes, take the calipers, brackets, pads, and rotors off the parts car. Unbolt your stuff, and bolt on the new stuff in it's place.- Stellaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!NEW PICS!!!!
I know that many are different widths for sure, I am just saying that at the very least 03-8 Foresters have the same track width as 04-07 STi's, I am not positive about the regular Imprezas of that year range. Yes I compared them side by side and they were EXACTLY the same, no difference at all. That's why I figured putting the newer style lateral links into my GC platform 98 Forester, would give it a slightly wider stance in the rear and kick the bottom of the tire out a bit.- 1998 Forester thumping sound
bratman18 replied to Fozester's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXLol, I guarantee my lift is no better than yours. Mine is home made and VERY simple! But sounds like there is some other good advice in here for ya! I was just throwing that out there.- Stellaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!NEW PICS!!!!
My 05 STi aluminum lateral links are the same exact length as the stock Forester XT lateral links I took off. Forester is the same exact platform as the Impreza.- Stellaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!NEW PICS!!!!
Well the STi lateral links are the same width as a Forester XT, and I'm assuming other GD models as well. So I guess I could swap lateral links with a newer model. I already have my stock Forester XT rear axles that will go right in. - caliper advise??
