  1. No Chris, just the brackets are different.
  2. Exactly. Might as well start small!!! Let us know if it works!
  3. Yeah mine did that as well. I think the fluid is a little thick before it warms up and causes enough resistance for the belt to slip a little. I say throw a new belt on there for 20 bucks, and see if it fixes it.
  4. Yep, mine did the same thing. Once it was up to temp, it would be fine. I really say try the belt first.
  5. Mine was just doing this recently. Mine was just a bad belt. It had gotten a little glazed from being so old, and wouldn't always grip the power steering pulley as it should. I replaced the belt and now it's great!
  6. It's a long drive. But not too bad. I have done it a few times.

  8. Need the covers for them? I have a set of the rectangular Subaru fog light covers
  9. Keep up the awesome work!!
  10. Keep this, sell the Legacy. This thing is in great shape, and pretty damn cool. And the possibilities are endless as to what you can do to it.
  11. He is still looking for one as far as I know.
  12. Yeah it's too bad. Were you a member on the local Subaru forum?? Nice looking Impreza!!
  13. My GF's 99 Legacy L with Outback front bumper, hood, struts, and General Grabber tires on 05 OBS alloy wheels
  14. Lol, I know I wasn't the only previous owner, BUT, I know the full history on this vehicle, from when it was new. It was completely stock except for the 5 spd, and fuel injection. It was babied. Like I told you, it wasn't driven in the winter for the last 13-14 years. I drove it last winter, but washed it all the time. I know rust was partly the reason it failed, but it really has had a good life.
  15. Ridden hard by previous owners?????! I think not. I crawled off road, and never broke a thing.
  16. That's awesome. This is exactly what I want to do with an Outback, if I can get my hands on one cheap enough. Can't wait to see the progress!
  17. Evidently you haven't looked at many of the builds on here, or any forum for that matter.
  18. Actually, he had this set up, or similar on the car he built
  19. If you have a lift to use, I would drop the tranny, but that's just me. If you don't have a lift, definitely pull the motor. I would probably replace the clutch while you have it apart as well, unless it isn't very old. But it would be a good opportunity while you have it apart.

It 99% depends on how much of an idiot you are while plowing. Don't ram into snow banks, use low gear and put along. allow the trip edge to do it's job. I see so many people plowing at high speed, and they wonder why they bend their frame on the 1 ton HD pickup.
