Wagonstien taking fully independent suspension to the next level
bratman18 replied to Ioku's topic in Members Rides
Actually, he had this set up, or similar on the car he built -
It 99% depends on how much of an idiot you are while plowing. Don't ram into snow banks, use low gear and put along. allow the trip edge to do it's job. I see so many people plowing at high speed, and they wonder why they bend their frame on the 1 ton HD pickup.

Replacing 2.5 with 2.2 - What's Involved?
bratman18 replied to rickmcm's topic in Subaru Transplants
Just curious, why is that? The 2.2 flywheel will fit the 2.5, so why wouldn't the opposite work? -
I did it with my BRAT. Worked great, pushed snow pretty easy, even my whole road after 14" of wet stuff. I have a friend with a first Gen Legacy wagon with 6" of lift, Outback tranny and diff for the lower gears, swampers and a plow. That thing pushes snow nice!

Chris, those 205 75 14's that I had on that car measured 26 1/4 when they were brandy new!! and they rubbed a tiny bit. 27's will rub a little bit more, but not too bad.

You can just change the transmission, driveshaft(out of an auto Outback) an a matching ratio rear diff. I spent 2750 on my 04 STi 6 speed for my Forester. You can use a 5 speed clutch for an 02-05WRX, and you can find a non DCCD 6 speed as well. Really not that much work, it will all bolt right in, but yes, TOO much money and not needed in an Outback.

All I'm saying is it seems like you have a bad attitude about everything now. Just hope all is good, and hoping things get better if it isn't!! Keep up the work on your cars, and good to hear that this one is running good again.

Actually, I used to like reading TheLoyales threads on his cars, but seems that has been his attitude for a while now....................Dunno what happened, but definitely not the same.

Just because the ATV doesn't weigh that much, doesn't mean some of the aftermarket ATV tires aren't rated for that much......
-
And just because there is no CEL, doesn't mean the computer hasn't thrown any codes
-
Actually, as I already stated, some of the newer, larger ATV tires are rated fore the weight.
