clutch questions
By trimming the botom of the bellhousing on the EA81 motor, you can fit an EA82 flywheel and clutch kit. Might have a better grab than the EA81 clutch.

anyone use these from Subtle Solutions..
Great products. a little expensive, but when you are one of the few that makes these machines out, and include everything to install, I guess you can get away with it. They sell a lot of these and I never see any negative feedback.

Can't find EJ22 Up Pipe Gaskets
bratman18 replied to Tmb9862's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXAs stated it's a stock motor. The 96 Legacy Outback 5 spds were 2.2. When I needed these I ended up having to order them from the dealer.

lifting a 97 legacy wagon 2.2 auto awd
Pretty much all that info is on here or on another Subaru forum. Basically the strut assemblies, rear trailing arm bracket, longer steering u joint, different steering column(at least from what I have seen) lift blocks on front and rear crossmembers, and the tranny mount.

saggy front

Driving in sand.
I'm tellin ya, it's the tires. I have been on beaches in NC and VA, and the sand I was in, was the same kind. Nice beach sand!! You definitely need momentum too, but I went right up over hills and everything, sand flying behind me!!

Driving in sand.
I've driven in lots of sand with that very car!!! There are probably even some pics in my profile of it. I never had any issues. I know the tires I had were a little different though. I had a blast!

Well travelled-all the way from Oz to UK
That's what my BRAT looked like when I got it. All from a leaky windshield, and the carpet not drying out.

Trying to rate different Impreza lift heights.
So the Outback struts, with Forester springs provide the most lift? Would this even work on a Forester?

When Will My Alternator Die?
bratman18 replied to Ravenwoods's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXSame guy did mine. It was an even 40 bucks for him to completely rebuild it. That price includes the parts. A lot better than the 300 I was quoted for a remanufactured one

Power Steering Issues
bratman18 replied to Durania's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXMine actually squeaked the other day, but I still need to re tighten it a little. I am sure it has stretched a little since new. That sucks though, I hope it comes out of it.

bratman18 replied to Durania's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYeah that was what I had too, just kind of a chirp every once in a while.- Rarest Old-School Subaru Part or Option?
huh, my 86 BRAT had the glove box mirror. I know it was the original dash, so maybe the glove box was changed out at some point?- stupid people.
They are the same length. So you just need the right splines - Power Steering Issues
