I don't have any sounds with my 2" lifted 98 Forester. My guess is a tire.

Yeah I know I can smash it a bunch and have things fit. But even a camber correct strut top lift would have caused issues with them hitting. Brian, or Ioku, is there any chance you could post a link for the lateral links you guys have? And in your experience, did they help with the camber issue? Yeah I wondered about that. The only reason I was thinking about it was because if I add camber bolts in the rear, the inner part of the lower spring perch on the strut will hit the body. So I was just looking for a way to get the bottom of the tire out to help with the camber.

What is the asking price? It has low miles, and if the body is solid that is a huge plus.

Hey Brian, I was thinking about getting a set of those adjustable lateral links to correct the camber issues I have with the lift on my 98 Forester. How far do you have yours adjusted out? Is there still enough "play" in the cv axle travel? I just would hate to adjust them out and have the cv axles fail because they don't have enough travel in the cup. Thanks

I'm sure it's been mentioned but you can use the newer style tensioner on the older motor just by swapping the mounting blocks. I did this on that motor I changed in my moms car. Very easy to do.

Almost positive the rotors are different sizes. They were when I upgraded to dual piston calipers.

I'm a little late to this, but I had that mirror on my 86 BRAT, and it still had it when I sold it. And as for the EA81 with 5 spd D/R, I loved mine. But I did have the fuel injection swap too, so that helped a bit. Nice car, take your time with it, and do it right, and it'll come out great!

You can use the cat back, but you need to have the mid pipe lengthened and the flange rotated to have it bolt up to the stock exhaust.

I definitely recommend it. For the price it can't be beat. It's actually very secure and solid on the car.

The rear LSD I built for my BRAT was just an 8mm bolt inside the diff stub. Had to have a skinny long 8mm socket to fit down in. And I used a ratchet and kept whacking it with a hammer and eventually after breaking a couple sockets, it cam loose.

Just bought one and a friend has one. They are very rugged and durable. Especially for the price! Once it's secured, you can grab a hold of it and shake the whole vehicle.

Yeah I am running WRX struts and STi springs on mine and it's about that llow. Put some Forester struts back under it, along with Forester springs, or Forester specific lowering springs and you'll be all set. Do not put WRX springs on Forester struts or visa versa, that will just blow the struts.
