  1. Done the timing belt before super easyyy thanks to you guys that is Not 4wd :(
  2. Found a blue GL wagon, automatic SPFI with 53k on the odo guy wants $200 for it because it has a broken timing belt and he thinks the engine is trashed. Traces of rust and a broken drivers side window. Interior is perfect
  3. He has the receipt and all the work came in at $1,400 lol I doubt I could fine parts here, bumper would be custom. I would need the fender, control arm and the headlight. Headlight and control arm I can pick up off ebay or someone here. See, problem is we have no junkers that carry Subaru items :mad: Id have to do it all over the web with the help of all you mad scientists
  4. Vehicle is the top of the line Automatic Outback with leather seats, double moon roof etc. It was involved in a side-frontal collision. The drivers side fender is totaled, hood is acceptable and the bumper is gone. Drivers side control arm is busted(bent) as well as a small retaining piece and the headlight. Other than that the interior is in great shape, 121k miles on the odo with major maintenance done 1 month prior to crash. All engine gaskets, spark plugs, timing belts etc. etc etc. were done 1 month before the incident. It has 2003 WRX wheels and vented rotors on it and he wants $1,300 for it. Engine received no damage in the collision. Bumper would be made with steel tubing. How much would fixing the control arm, headlight and fender be? Should I pick it up?
  5. Finished install thanks to skip and all the help:
  6. Who here has a spare lock? My doors are electronic, unsure if that changes anything
  7. Dammit, guess its time to PM skip about his anti theft system lol
  8. My drivers side 87' Gl Wagons door lock was messed up :mad::mad: someone tried to jack my car with a screwdriver :mad: !!!! Now I put the key in the lock and try and turn it and it spins freely in every direction Is my lock busted or.....?
  9. Have the cherry bomb on my EA-82 and I didnt notice any crackling like everyone said I would get. Sure enough I check and I had a leak were the exhaust meets the cherry I tightened the clamp some and its almost gone. When steadily rising or idling I can barely feel the leak. However when you rev and let off the gas it shoots a small stream of air not much but I can feel it. Im scared of tightening the clamp anymore and collapsing the pipe. Would plugging this small leak increase my crackling at all or not to bother? Exhaust is 2" all the way back with no cat.
  10. Sounds good then, I will get a used one. Can anyone sell me one, there are none in Puerto Rico I could find. They told me there must be only 2 gls here, mine and the devils lol  Seriously someone PM me I will buy a working on off of ya
  11. Nothing is I guess lol. Just worried about repairs and such, from what ive reads its a PITA.
  12. Local guy has a 4x4 manual justy hes selling for $600, runs good, body is ok with slight rust. Seems expensive no, is $300 an ok offer to make him?
  13. Hows this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/10-INCH-ELECTRIC-COOLING-FAN-MOUNTING-KIT-INCLUDED_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713Q2em153Q2el1262QQcategoryZ33600QQihZ015QQitemZ250346885362
  14. My mechanic bypassed the thermo switch since it ubber hot here in Puerto Rico. Ive never seen my gauge go over half way though. Anyways I checked the fan and it wobbling at the center, bad bearings or summin idk.
  15. Hows about either of these: http://www.go-part.com/9599-subaru-legacy-radiator-cooling-assembly-p-10416.html?channelid=NEXTA&productid=SU31151022fy http://www.drautoparts.com/items/item.aspx?itemid=8776113 If I get one thats different, can I just splice the wiring? Any idea how many AMPs the stock one draws?
  16. Need a new electric fan for my radiator, turned the key this morning and it sound like a star wars character lol. Anyways can I wire a new one to the stock ones wiring? What fan do you guys recomend? Generic one from autozone or a junker from another car or..... Dont wana spend to much kinda strapped for cash A.T.M. :-\
  17. The price is right but im overseas and they wont ship The panty is ghetto at best, there is actually a guide on how to do it on several car sites.
  18. Talk about mixed messages lol. I do have some lights from another car around here somewhere maybe give it a try. I know the lights will shine through just not sure about the colors The spray tint works great, many people with 350z do it but it isnt available in Puerto Rico. Also, I do have a third brake light
  19. Seems like a pain, plus the rough contour would deform the tint I think.
  20. You guys think it would be possible to tint the rear lights with krylon fusion flat black?
  21. No ECU issues, Weber and SPFI both have different pros and cons. If you want simplicity go for the SPFI, no tweaking needed. If you a little more involved I think the carb looks sweet and sounds great. SPFI is better in the cold also
  22. hello my name is leli and i am caramanos 2000 girlfriend i want to know how I can get the seat covers of subaru gl 87? . that are equal or similar ,should not know, it's a surprise:-\
  23. Vehicle is EA-82 SPFI, question is if after removing the carbon canister I can just cap the vacuum and purge line, and put a small filter on the gas tank breather line? Can I just cap the vacuum line and leave the purge one open? Would also like to know how to remove the EGR plz
  24. I could also use both rear disc assemblies hit me up man. Also looking for the mud flaps that go on the tires, the heads off the dl maybe, preferably the ones with least mileage and the intake manifold would be nice also
