  1. You can use the pump from 80s Nissans. Older V6 Maximas, 280Z and that kinda cars. Thats what im using. I found out on google by looking up that fuel pump for the Subby and then googling the fuel pump part#.
  2. Local dealers dont have extra-S gear oil so the cocktail is my next option. Of these 3 I cant get the Redline, what can I substitute it with? 1qt Redline lightweight shockproof 1qt Pennzoil Synchromesh 2qt Castrol HypoyC 80w-90 For my running the battery to the rear, home depot has 4ga for $1 a foot and 2ga for $1.88 per foot. I was told I cant use this kind of wire because it have fewer strands than automotive wiring, true?
  3. We dont have napa. Wester auto, pep boys or autozone dont have anything bigger than 8ga. So.... lol yeah... Battery or alternator first?
  4. Well I just have a pair of driving lights for now. Should I get this or an optima battery first? Any idea were I can buy 4ga wire to put my battery in the back?
  5. Local autozone has the GM 100amp Alternator for around $45 with a lifetime warranty. Yay or nay? Should I not bother yet or is it a good thing to replace. EA-82 wagon with 85k miles. Not hard to swap correct, read the posts and it sounds easy enough, is it worth it?
  6. Wish my girlfriend would dress that way I love it ! Anyways you guys are all so pale and white lol, gotta get some brown in here. This is me 1yr ago on the right
  7. Lol, my engine barely leaks(YET). Dont know how much I lost but in 2,500 miles dipstick level went from halfway between L and F to L. So from halfway full to low. Did I lose allot? Engine has to be pulled whenever I do get at it ehh.
  8. There is a thing at autozone I saw that says it will help slow or stop main seal and timing belt cover gasket leaks. Instruction says you replace 1qt of oil with it. This stuff is worse for the engine than the leaking isnt it?
  9. Ive actually read that you can leave them off, its just that small pebbles or oil cane ruin your day
  10. Oh ok I got ya, I dont quite remember but I think we used some sort of bar to put tension on the crank pulley to stop it from rotating. Oil is most likely from retention ring. Sorry dont know the name in english.
  11. Tranny fluid might have come from the radiator if its an auto. You can start the car just for a second or two literally, without the radiator on to check timing. If it starts up and sounds ok shut it down QUICK:) Thats how I did it. As far as rotating goes, loosen the tensions so the belts slips on and you dont have to rotate it on.
  12. It does and no AC lol Hoping to get my ac fixed soon. First estimate I got was for $300, is that steep? Thats for sealing the comp., a new condenser and dryer and to gas it up:rolleyes: On the other hand you can drive and roast chicken at the same time, ubber convenient take that FORD:banana:
  13. Belts and water pump I will do when I remove the radiator, hoses also. The fluids are all at normal levels. Brakes feel good, little squeeky. Both axles are brand new
  14. Took the fender off and the bend didnt reach the inner fender wall. Drove it at 60mph and it feels straight, the tower is not distorted. I found a guy that will sell me a fender and rear glass (break in) for $100. Its gonna be my dads as he has no credit. Ok guys post up the list of items to buy/fix/upgrade and have me stay under $1,000 including the car
  15. Well I can get monster Optimas brand new for around $80-$100. 2ga it is then, we dont have tractor supply and walmart doesnt sell car stuff here.
  16. Darn thats clean, exactly what I want to do. Did you buy a kit or make it yourself?
  17. Want to put my battery in the back of my Wagon. Gonna be picking up the biggest Optima Red Top I can find and would like to know how to secure it. I dont think I will be buying a kit, just buying the separate components and putting it together myself. I will probably use a battery box but I dont know how to secure it... Should I just bolt it down ? 2ga wire should be good right? I think I need: About 24ft of 2ga power wire 3-6ft of ground wire power distribution block for engine bay battery box good terminals heat shrink tubing Some sort of fuse/breaker? What kind do I need? that sound right? Would just adding a second battery with this:http://www.darvex.com/SGP38KIT/Add+2nd+Battery+Relay+Isolater+Wiring+Kit.html be better?
  18. Car hit a car that was parked behind it because it was pushed back. From what I can see underneath it didnt bend any of the steering assembly. It does feel ok on the road as it isnt swinging towards one side or anything. But I guess I should let it pass by or parts it out or....? Maybe I can keep the engine refresh it and lighlty work it some
