  1. I drilled my hubs. Really easy. In my opinion. I had zero problems. Plus i think it looks better.
  2. Welp 45 emails later.... Still no glf. The car is in one place the guy lives at another. He says it runs but needs carb work. I work with a guyvwho is heavy into volkswagon. He said if i get an adapter plate he has a weber carb. Im not sure the guy is ready to let go of the glf. I cant wait to get this thing.....
  3. That's a good lookin car. Id have to have to break more than arms and legs!
  4. Hey I'd be interested in a set of loyale fenders any idea on price

  5. Well from what ive read on this post, I'm not even considering the legacy. I havent spoken with the glf seller since early Friday but so far we haven't met on a price. I can't wait to get it! When I do get it, it will be time to start tearing down the loyale for the 2.2 and 5 speed d/r swap. Oh and moving from a two inch lift to a four Inch. Should be an interesting time.
  6. Well if that's the case Im goin for the glf!
  7. Alright here's the problem. I found a 91 legacy today. I can get it for $550. 4x4 works off and on. I don't know which to get into. The glf or the legacy. http://s1102.photobucket.com/albums/g451/91subaru/legacy/
  8. I'll probably leave it the way it is. I talked to the guy yesterday, he told me that the top of the back seat has rips in it. The same goes for the driver front. All glass, dash, and console all in great shape. Still hasn't given me a price. I have an idea of where its gonna be though(around $500)
  9. Waiting on the guy to email me back. May be mine this weekend:banana:
  10. [/img] 82 glf 5 speed fwd Still talkin with the guy that owns it trying to agree on a price. If he comes down on it a bit I'm gonna own it. Tranny good, clutch has been replaced. Interior needs work. Glass is perfect as well as the dash. Moonroof operable and doesn't leak. Steering good. Shifter is perfect. Gauges all work.
  11. I figured it out. Found it as i browsed around. Thanks guys!
  12. Already read it. The write up doesnt say where they go. It shows a pic but obviously the pics arent there....
  13. Can someone tell me where the wires from a 91 loyale would plug in an 86 maxima alt. I got the alt today and my son took out the maxima plug and now i cant find it:banghead:
  14. All BRATs had four-wheel drive and the Subaru EA engine. Early models received a 1.6L EA-71 whereas 1981 and later models received a 1.8 L EA-81 engine. 1983 and 1984 models could be purchased with an optional 94***hp (70***kW) turbocharged engine. Manual transmissions were standard on all models and an automatic transmission was available on turbocharged BRATs. 1980 and earlier models had a single-range transfer case, while 1981 and later GL models had a dual range transfer case (DLs still had single range) and all turbocharged models were equipped with an automatic transmission with single range push-button four-wheel drive. Straight from wikipedia...
  15. I couldnt afford that. I guess ill have to go at it myself. Right now from what ive been readin ill prolly end up just rebuilding the 1.8. Id love to have more power and all that but i have a crappy job that pays like crap! If i do decide to go ahead with the swap ill be sure to allow plenty if time!
  16. So ive been reading some post on the wiring harness im gonna need for the ej swap. I really cant afford 150 to 200 bucks for me to yank one and send it to someone to have them do it for me. So anyway the harness is scaring me off the swap
  17. What he is sayin is that it makes him (as well as me) ill to see such a good lookin car being crushed. If i were you id buy the entire car
  18. Cool thanks Cy. I guess now its the money saving part of this whole swap. I have a few prospects as far as the ej goes. I dont see many soobs from the 80 to mid 90's around here. Well unless its a 90 model lego. Anyway im sure ill be askin questions as the swap starts. Thanks guys for all the input.

  20. It may not be the head or gasket. Im getting the same milky oil in the line coming from the driver side head. Im also losing coolant. Have you noticed any collant loss or over heating?
  21. Mine is doing the exact same thing. Even the oil thing. Pretty sure its.caused by the driver side head/head gasket being bad.
  22. I know the ea82 5 spd Mt d/r has been around for a while but should i be lookin for a certain year/car for the trans? Im gonna get rid of the 3AT first then later on the ea82 spfi 1.8 with the ej22.
  23. Ive been sort of shifting around for parts. Just curious as to what year of 5 speed i should use in my 91 loyale?
