  2. that's what I'm thinkin. if it is please just say so, rather than leaving me in suspense.
  3. Hmm, if it's setup like the 90-94 legacy's you should be able to pull the code yourself. Check either http://www.surrealmirage.com or http://www.legacycentral.org for instructions to do it. I'd give you the actual link but I'm too lazy
  4. actually I ask talking about the counterbalancing crank issues, I should've clarified that
  5. Cold weather package ($400) heated seats, mirrors, engine block heater
  6. Correct, the large air hose (i think its 19mm ID) connects from the air inlet to the IAC valve. it's a straight piece, it also has a clip that holds the pcv tube coming fdrom the pass side head to the hose. And yes one of the coolant lines goes to the TB. The otherone goes to like the water manifold or the block or something. The picture isnt correct, no.
  7. one of the coolant hoses on the throttle body comes from the top of the water manifold or block or something, I forget. The other goes to the IAC valve.
  8. What you should do is first find out why it is throwing a CEL. If it does turn out to be the Mass Air Flow (MAF not AMM) sensor then yes replace it. I'm not sure if the 95's use OBD-II. If they do I've heard autozone will pull the code for free so head down there. If not Jiffy lube can do it for 9.99.
  9. don't mean to sound annoying but could you answer my question up above. I'd like to know just from a curious standpoint is all, not trying to be a wongleflute or anything.
  10. How doesn't it count? It's got way less power esp considering we were at a much higher elevation than sea level, worse suspension, had horrible tires, . The only things I had on him were lighter car, and shorter gears. Remember, this was a MODDED wrx.
  11. to be honest, it's not that hard to keep up with wrx's. My car was doing good with a modded one on a real nice road. He said he was goin easy, and I know I still had some left in it (not much, but there was some left ). He actually said I was owning him or something like that. But the point is, even with almost 100 less hp and about 90 less tq, it was still close. This is with, bad suspension, and near bald RE92's on my behalf.
  12. so does that mean more rotational mass? How bad is it to have it fire one bank at a time?
  13. okay I'm retarded, I didnt connect the "New crank" thing . So how is it going to be better? Isn't there going to be more vibration made from having most of the weight being thrown side to side?
  14. How would it be possible to have a 1432 firing order? When the #1 piston is fired (compression), #4 would have to be finishing the intake stroke in order to be fired (compression) next right? So once #4 fires (compression, #3 would have to be finishing the intake stroke in order to fire next. However, if #4 is firing aka compression stroke(or even exhaust stroke for that matter), #3 will HAVE to be at or near TDC, in this case on the exhaust stroke, simply by the design of the boxer engine. So if you had it firing in that order, it would look like, compression, compression, intake, intake, compression, compression, intake, intake, compression, etc Where that would be 1, 4, 3, 2, 1, 4, 3, 2, 1 respectively. So unless I'm wrong, you'd have to change the crank design so that both the cyls on one bank are at TDC at the same side. Somehow I think that'd produce WAY more vibration that any engine needs to and it would be a worse situation than before.
  15. That's so true cookie. And it's not just with automotive stuff. People have been like this since forever. Remember, people used to think the earth was the center of the universe, the sun and all the planets rotated around it, the world was flat, maggots came from meat, there were only 4 elements, etc. It's funny how people are.
  16. thank you, I'm glad there's at least one other person here that actually cared enough about science and the basic laws of physics to pay attention during school.
  17. They bit that from the sugar hill gang in rapper's delight "I don't mean to brag, I don't mean to boast, but we're like hot butter on your breakfast toast"
  18. the 1990's called, they want their joke back you should feel retarded if you think water is incompressible though.
  19. I totally agree. I mean if noone ever tried anything different, we wouldn't have some of the great things we have now, boxers, fwd, awd, windows-within-windows, i could go on, but you get the point. I also agree with bushbasher, WJM just get started on it. I havent even been paying much attention to this forum, but I already have seen quite a few of your topics .
