  1. Yeah ok, but I just got a turbo car. So, if I saw your pics I didn't pay any attention to them at the time. For good measure, I just looked at your thread again. Now I know I have to get a header for my wagon.
  2. Glad the pics helped. Thanks for the pics of your pipes, those are snazzy looking.
  3. I used your pics as a reference, see if this helps. Look _under_ the crossmember in those spots for a single 14mm nut to remove. Basically, the stud is attached to the motor mounts and passes through the rubber piece and into a slot in the crossmember where the nut is tightened down on it.
  4. There's a good chance with the buildup of goop under the car that you might not be able to find the bolts without doing some cleaning on your crossmember. Just trace your mounts down and look under the crossmember for the bolts. I'll look and see if I have a pic to show you for a reference. I just picked up a turbowagon that is in dire need of mechanical assistance. Since the turbo is bad on it already and the downpipe is a rusty mess, I figured why not do a little upgrading in the process. Are the headers & downpipes stilll available from TWE? I know yours are custom made for the garret, but what did they run you?
  5. I for one believe that it's totally possible. I have a 250cu inline six in my Chevy that is making more than 1hp per cubic inch. Lots of people said that was impossible. With a little creativity and a willingness to take risks you can make some crazy things happen with small motors. I'm looking forward to the write up, I'm sure it'll give me some good ideas for my own cars.
  6. Wow, that looks really nice. Any plans on selling some like that for a little extra $$$?
  7. Even at 136 bucks a piece for a 15x6, I just don't see very many people here dropping the cash to make it worth his while. :-\
  8. I've heard that this is the look they are going to start incorporating into all their next gen. cars. I personally don't like how it, or the B9X looks. :-\
  9. Awesome, looked like a kick rump roast time was had by all. I love how mean that hatch sounds, what does it have for an exhaust system? Thanks for the vids, more are always welcome.
  10. The first thing that comes to mind is that it's going to wear your tires a bit faster. I don't have an ea82 but on my hatch the struts would hit on the inside of the fender wells when I turned the wheels at first. A couple smacks from a BFH fixed that. There are a lot of people using lifted rigs as daily drivers on the board, I say go for it.
  11. Great vids, I wish there was something like that in my area. Sounded a bit like metal on rock when your wagon first started to climb up it.
  12. Yeah I got lucky with the Hatch, fixed it last weekend. Turns out it was just the radius rod that was bent. The WRX should be done today hopefully. The estimate came back at around $3,000. My insurance company should love me on that one. Here's a pic of the bent radius rod, with the replacement as a reference.
  13. Sweet, what does your car look like. Maybe I've seen it around.
  14. There is a ton of ea81s and ea82s in my area. And yet, as far as I know, I'm the only person from Lewis County on the board.
  15. That's awesome, looks like too much fun guys. This pic gets my vote for best offroad Subie pic for sure.
  16. I want my WRX back for Xmas. Bodyshop says it might be done on the 27th.
  17. All four lights come on when I have highbeams switched on.
  18. I'm always amazed at how cool everyone on this forum seems to be. I actually bought my Hatch sight unseen from boobaru, who wasn't even there when I picked up the car. He trusted me to leave the cash in a predetermined spot for him. My wife thought we were both nuts. Thanks to everyone for the helping hands you give.
  19. Well, my WRX took quite a beating from the wind storms we had a week ago. A metal car cover in our driveway broke loose and smashed down on the car. It dented a trim piece around a rear door and left a series of dents up and down the roofline. There were also smaller dents in one door and a fender. A couple of the dents were bad enough it broke all the paint off of the area. Everytime I looked it over I seemed to find a new dent or two. After a little bit of insurance co. hoop jumping, it went into the body shop on Friday. Received a call from the adjuster on Saturday, the estimate came back at just under 3,000 to fix everything. It's going to end up with almost a complete repaint just to make sure things match. Sure glad I only have a $500 deductable. :-\ At least I should get it back before New Years though.
  20. Slightly off-topic, but why on earth would someone let Sears work on their Vette? The only problem I've ever had with Carter was trying to get them to fix my WRX in a timely manner. It needed to have the alternator replaced with less then 3k on the car. It took almost a week to get the car back. :-\
  21. Wow, I'm impressed, your damage far exceeds what I managed to do on my last run. Glad it all looks like it's going to work out ok.
