  1. hey mark the big question here is..... is it a 3 door or an actual hatchback? but I say rally it either way hehehe
  2. it was on e-bay a lil while ago
  3. witte has a old school car???? last time I saw him he was driving a white STi around the rallyX course
  4. might also check the valve adjustments too
  5. Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally Rally IT!!!!!!!!! it's more fun that way and I would recommend making it 4wd unless you want to rallycross it (if they have rallycross in your area) and I would just keep it 2wd just for the heck of it and run production or even with mods and rally tires in group 2! that would turn some heads it would here seing a subaru in Group 2
  6. I was just mentioning that to richie and that would be cool cause of the many more members on the board lately that are from around here
  7. well for me I would stay with gen 1/gen 2 stuff..... you can fit a EA-81 or EA-81T in there and the turb'd motor should be easier for you to get cause of alot of them are being sold to yards cause of that darn smog law stuff down there in cali. the 4sp d/r tranny will fit especialy if you get a tranny from a 81 brat the rear disc conversion will be a little difficult cause of the 75-79(ish) rear axles are not a CV but U-joint axles. I am going to try to work out how to make them work on mine cause the splines on the brakes are larger but the front hubs from the donor car will fit on (I have a set of front hubs and have tried it but don't know if the rest of the equip will line up with the other hubs as of yet need a set of rears to try out on) also with the u-joint shaft if you want to keep them they will work with the LSD's as long as you take out the stub axles and place the diff in the cars original housing (some mod required but not difficult with the right tools) if any other questions just email me cause I am going to mod my 76 quite a bit as soon as I can park it and give it an overhaul. ideas for me are: ea-81 with ea-82 SPFI rear disc brakes (saving the rear u-joint axles so going to be trying to mod them to fit) 4sp d/r (already have it sitting in the garage from a 81 brat) roll cage new dash and guages with a intergrated tach/speedo (SPA design makes one ) and a few other odds and ends oh yeah here is what my wagon looks like http://www.pdxsports.com/photos/showphoto.asp?folder=200308rallyx&photo=20030824_8738.jpg
  8. Hey GD if you don't want the motor I am interested in it and hey swing on by or give me a call sometime soon (503)654-0104 if you have forgotten the # oh yeah you guys forgotten about my good deals especialy my 78 FE coupe that I had for awhile ( I still miss that car :boohoo: )
  9. k cool take your time and thanks for the help. I sorta remember some of the stuff but it helps to have the full picture
  10. hey Rguyver can you email me with the SPFI conversion stuff cause I am thinking of doing that to my 76 as soon as I aquire a ea-81 and I have to say DAMN for the brat Rock On
  11. hey soobme there might be a affordable rally class coming in march sometime up here Edrach will have the info soon hopefuly and as for Gran Turismo both 2 and 3 ROCK!! can't wait till 4 comes out
  12. nah the school of hard knocks is good lol I havn't taken any classes as of yet but I have taken my 76 to the extreme and then some (oh what fun it is doing a 360 cause of loss of traction) now I need a weber and some rally tires hehehe so I can upgrade to the next step and who needs dual range and a 1800 anyways lol me and my EA-65 1400 single range can do good
  13. Yep Paul we are all a lil Loco some more than others. Aside from that my wife says the same things as Bard's wife does lol. But for me 6 years and total 7 Roo's and most at 1 time is 3 . 91 2wd loyale wagon 78 FE coupe (I miss it all the time ) 86 4wd 3sp auto wagon 87 4wd 3sp auto GL-10 Turbowagon (parts) 78 Brat 76 4wd wagon 00 Forester In cronological order lol
  14. it is there to keep the waste gate closed till the boost gets too high and then opens up to release the waste gate
  15. Hey Kurt I would still check the oit for water cause of it might have popped the freeze plugs in the head. Just remember my problems with the green brats motor
  16. For right now Kurt you might want to use those halogen spotlamps that you have and put them in the engine compartment to warm the compartment up to managable temps and see if it works then and oh yeah when it thaws out check the oil for water (remember the engine out of the green brat?)
  17. hey maroon that's what I am talking about the dash lights and parking lights don't work cause of the relays under the dash are shot also look at the pigtails that goto the relays
  18. ugly red car????? nah that's not ugly in fact my wagon used to be that red color and who knows it might be again if not a different color of blue (like WR blue pearl)
  19. the A69L is the designation for BRAT and I think 4wd wagon also and the other #'s are the serial # which should read A69L-123456 that is the vin # another place to look is on the door and also the firewall near the spare there is one stamped in around there too
  20. maroondunedoom there are a few relays under the dash in amongst the engine computer and fusebox check them cause I had the same problem with my 86 battle wagon when I had it and had to replace 2 relays and also the connectors cause of heat damage (that's why they didn't work) might be with you too buddythedog if it's a gen 3 vehicle
  21. welp can't get to the dealership cause of being in this CRAP that is snow and 1" thick ice cause of freezing rain
  22. yeah Corky you would love it and yes Ed I just wanted to run in a class other than Open and not time only oh well the roster will get it first taste of the brown and green stuff this year lol
  23. Yeah I know they did other "offroad" type equipment and I tried a search on yahoo and anloy got celebrity names but I will try google. But it would be nice to know if they are still in business and who knows they might still know how to make subaru parts still lol.
