  1. you could always take it to cartoys or some stereo installation place and have them rewire all the speakers.. it would not cost much.. you could also take the HU out and go buy one of the cheep stereos cartoys has and have THEM deal with the problem its what i did on my mazda with zero speaker wire.
  2. Well, that's before the break-in. It (should) jump up to 180 after its been driven.
  3. a hammer can dissable DRL too.. or if your not willing to use a hammer..maybe a bat?
  4. for the poor mileage it might be a dirty mass airflow sensor.. you can get cleaner for it at any auto part store pretty much.. electrical parts cleaner works too, but not as well as the actual mass air cleaner. do NOT use brake cleaner or carb cleaner! Also, air filter might be dirty i dont know about the other problems though.
  5. might be an air bubble in the line or just a cheaply made pressure plate.. Ive bought a cheep flea-bay clutch a while back for my mazda and it didn't have as much feel as the previous clutch did...
  6. cool beans! When i got my wagon the timing was a tooth off on each gear.. thought the thing was horribly slow too.. same thing on my XT was a tooth off on one gear... now both of my cars can really get up and go.. you should run stock tires just for fun and see the real power you should have
  7. there arent any spfi turbo heads? i thought the 3 port heads only came on the XT's.. so the regular old gl-10s had 3 port too? just in a different style manifold?
  8. what are the differences between the EA82 N/A heads and the EA82 turbo heads? do the turbo heads have larger ports or valves? I know the cams are different.. but thats all i know..
  9. the dots on the cam gears should be exact opposite of each other.. one facing up and one facing down. if they are both facing the same direction then you need to redo it. it sounds like thats what you did.. its a common mistake.
  10. sweet! they look like 14" how wide are they?
  11. if it looks super clean and its the color you really want.. its not that bad of a deal.. but ive seen more then a few clean good running ea82 wagons with the DR for less then that. Theres one by my house here that is really clean with the DR it runs but has the TOD.. but i think some seafoam would fix it. and its $500 too. *edit* oops i dident see you said sedan.. those are alittle harder to find.. so.. maybee.. depends on how much rust is "hardly any"
  12. with all this rain we've been getting it might turn out to be alot more interesting.. even on the light trails! yay mud!
  13. ive been looking into making one for myself. at least to be able to test EA series engines. maybee we could work together and make a few of them.. i have alot of steel lying around and a couple regular engine stands, i just dont know where to begin really.. i think if a few of us joined forces we could slap a couple together in no time.
  14. If I gave the impression that I was a know it all at evans creek, I'm sorry. And who did I talk back too? Even so.. I'm sorry for whatever bad impressions you got off me.. Or anyone has of me. Anyway.. I might show up seeing how its right next to my old roommates house and hes usually always up to go wheeling in his centurion.
  15. theres only a few choice trails the require lsd or welded diff.. but 80% or so you can do with an open diff.. i used to live a few miles from there and have been all around when i still had stock tires/open diff.. but that was a couple years ago.. so it may have changed since then
  16. even though i dont own the brat anymore.. its funny how off topic it got far as lifts go
  17. right off of 508 on ashenbrener rd
  18. haha! yup yup, that be the one! next time you want to go up there i can met you.. im walking distance from the entrance of it.
  19. I still don't have any money ._. so unfortunatly if rick is expecting anything then I'm sorry. Remember, I dont get unemployment, and the money I get comes from allowance from my parents.. I need a job bad..
  20. having two hatches would be a neat idea.. but rocks flying up could be an issue.. seeing how its a big sheet of glass and isnt rated for flying objects.
  21. the trip was a blast! I had to change my CV axle on the way home though.. seized up and made one heck of a noise.. but I promptly found someone with a jack nearby and swaped it.
  22. Well I'm almost all set to go, I just installed a GM alternator, the thing rocks like a fox in socks! I rewired a few things too, maybe that will fix my weird tach jumping issue that no one can figure out. *edit* Also, I installed a winch today.
