  1. I think lots of Honduhs use 4x100mm too.

    Good call!

Like a portal axle setup? I didn't know VWs had portals!
  4. You must be slow.
  5. Shipping will likely be the killer.
  6. This is my exact problem. Looks like I'll be doing headgaskets in September (or finding a decent EJ22/wiring harness/ecu).
  7. Someone told you a load of crap, then.
  8. SWEET! You still need that caliper? My Soob is no longer distance-capable (needs headgaskets), but I can meet you in Chehalis whenever you need. I have a phone again, same number.
  9. I would hold out for the AWD, if that is truly what you want.
  10. I don't have an EJ in my rig yet (definitely on the short-track plans), but these are cheap and work well... http://www.kmjent.com/cart/product.php?productid=426&cat=20164623&page=1 I use two of those on my EA82, though one would probably be more than adequate. They move a LOT of air. http://www.kmjent.com/cart/product.php?productid=427&cat=20164623&page=1 The 12" version is only a few bucks more.
  11. Damn, wish I could make it to WCSS11 for that!
  12. I have absolutely nothing constructive to say and zero Weber experience, but a lot of guys run them here and someone should be able to answer your question soon. Welcome to the board!
  13. If it were my project (and I wanted automatic backup lights), I would splice into the original backup harness and use the hot line to trigger a relay.
  14. Nice score, man!! If you need a hand with anything, give me a call.
  15. A couple of 9" DC motors would work pretty well. You would need an adapter between the motors and trans...the motors would also probably need to be re-phased. They would require a motor controller and charge controller, since you would probably end up running around 96-144VDC to the motors, but keep 12VDC to all the accessories. Of course, there would be all the nickel and dime stuff too. It would be a large project, but pretty cool as an end result.
  16. Interesting. I guess I'm lucky with where I live then. Every time I've needed something out of the ordinary, there is a little shop called "Industrial Specialties" in the next town over that seems to have or can get what I need. They have a TON of metric stuff.
  17. Try your local industrial supply houses. Most places that build hydraulic hose should have a vast array of fittings, many metric.
  18. Sounds like I'll be headed up there sometime between tomorrow and Saturday then.
