  1. Just the piece that the filter connects to. Mine's a little black plastic piece. But, if you have the square opening, the Sentra MAF adaptor won't work well.
  2. How much would you charge for a brace? I might be interested if the price is right.
  3. Not sure if I have the vane-style MAF or not ('92 Loyale SPFI), but a MAF adaptor from a 1991-1999 Nissan Sentra 1.6L bolted right up. Works awesome!
  4. Yay, another Seattle person! Welcome! Whereabouts in Seattle are you? I'm a bit north of Northgate mall myself.
  5. I have 14x6" pugs with 185/75/14 with no rubbing, ever ever ever. You could probably go a bit larger and still not rub.
  6. I've kinda wondered about this too. My tranny has always been whiny, although it's not super-loud or anything, just a high-pitched whine that goes up with RPMs. Mine is just as whiny in 4WD, though. Seems to run and shift just fine, though.
  7. Same question from me. On my old Sentra, I replaced the bulbs with blue ones, and then red. The blue ones were CRAP and faded after only a few weeks. However, it seems as though the Subaru gauges, at least in my EA82, might have a green backing on them, which would limit your color choices. Red would shine through nicely, I think, and maybe amber, I suppose. If you can remove the backing easily, like some VWs, you could change the color a lot more easily. I've been itching to change mine to red for some time now.
  8. The clock in mine sorta works. As far as I can tell, there's three different display brightnesses that the EA82 clock works at - ignition off (super dim), lights on (dim), and lights off (bright). Mine seems to randomly work its' way through all three settings no matter what. Sometimes if I hit the brake it'll brighten back up from the super-dim setting. It also loses time when it's really cold. So I just use the clock on my stereo .
  9. If you don't want to try to make a CRX pod fit, or just want to do something sweet and custom, making a gauge pod is easy enough. All you need is the plastic trim that goes on the A-pillar, some MDF, and some fiberglass resin and mat. Just make some rings that the gauges can mount to, attach them to the a-pillar (dowels would work, or L-brackets), attach the fiberglass mat, and resin. Sand it all down pretty, paint with some textured paint or cover it in carpet, or whatever, and blam, totally custom and fits perfectly.
  10. Man, my car is just a baby compared to everyone else's! Bought her in March with 155k on the clock, she has 172k now. Runs like a champ!
  11. University Subaru is in the U-District in Seattle. Neat car, by the way :-) !
  12. Yay! Everybody loves me! That's my baby alright! I'm glad you guys found my site enjoyable! Really brings a grin to my face :D ! My Scooby is seriously a bitchin' ride, and I'm madly in-love with it. It's seriously the best car ever, and I wouldn't trade it for anything short of Jessica Alba. And she'd have to stop saying dumb stuff. MaroonDuneDoom - Unfortunately, the body outline had to go. I had people getting pissed when they saw it for whatever reason. I guess some people just don't have the "Sense of Humor" gene. Steve - w00t! What's happening, dawg? ByTheSea - I certainly don't get as many chicks as I think I deserve, but I guess my goals in that matter might be a tad unrealistic . Archemitis - You wouldn't believe the number of people who are offended by that. Weirdos. XSNRG - I'm from the show car world - I help build and show my best friend's Sentra, so keeping things spotless is a must for me. Bushbasher - What can I say? I love my car . Subynut - I've managed to find a bit of mud with her, and it certainly is a lot of fun . Hopefully I can add some more dirt in the near future. Matt - What's happenin' my nizzle? Bajavwnsoobnut - The idea's all you. I'm taking most, if not all, the vinyl off soon. SubaRube - That MAF adapter actual bolted straight up off my old Sentra... odd coincidence. The filter makes the Subaru sound PISSED . The Chrises and Johnathan - Thanks ! Miles - Oh, I've heard plenty about the Trashwagons xforxlifex - Everything is a mod subiemech85 - For me it's better to pass visual inspection and such than to have a sweet exhaust, unfortunately. subawoohoo - My tires RULE! I dunno quite what to say, guys... I'm just pretty flattered that you guys with all your crazy off-road Scoobys like my pedestrian, daily-driver, plain vanilla wagon .
  13. I am! I lost my internet connection for over a month thanks to my awesome roommate . Anyway, I have a new place in Northgate. You really ought to message me sometime . Oh yeah, and just so this stays on topic (please ignore the horrible JPEG compression thanks to Cardomain ) - this is a characature I did of what I'd like my Soob to look like eventually .
  14. I do cell-shaded charactures of cars (check out the Profiles section of http://www.nwnismo.com for a few examples, even though they're small) and I do black-and-white photography (mostly architectural) when I actually have time, although I'm definately just a beginner.
  15. I saw a green EA81 wagon on the corner of 45th and the Ave in Seattle about a month ago that had "SUPAROO"... made me smile .
  16. Renton represent! Got a red Loyale wagon... you can see pics on my Cardomain site in my sig.
  17. I have a Weapon-R Dragon filter on my 'Roo. Not bad. Used it for about a year on my old car and just switched it over when I sold her. Definately not the best for off-roading, though, since it likes to get dirty fast. I'd recommend a cotton-element filter if it's going to be out in the mud. If you really want the best, the HKS Super Power Flow has time and time again been proven to be very non-restrictive, yet good-filtering.
  18. Yay All I did was take a piece of prelaminated carbon-fiber from Tap Plastics and cut it to shape. I sanded it until it fit nicely behind each piece and attached them using 3M Doublestick tape. For the Subaru lettering, I removed the silver lettering by sticking tape to it and pulling it off. As you can see, the plastic started to haze up from our genious attempt with nail polish remover . I might try something like taking a piece of fiber and laying a vinyl Subaru logo on top of it, and then epoxying it to make it permanent and weather-proof.
  19. Nobody likes my carbon-fiber :eh: ... That's alright, it's not exactly a lift kit or an EJ25t swap .
  20. This is what happens when my friend Mike and I get bored: Whatcha' think?
  21. It's not a complete intake setup, just a cone filter attached to the MAF, but this is an option: The filter is a Weapon-R Dragon (not the best for off-roading, but not bad for street use) and the MAF adaptor is off a Nissan GA16DE intake system. EDIT: Let's make that image full size, shall we? Damn Cardomain .
