Caboobaroo: The turbo header. Myxalplyx: im going for Tuned Length. HP headers...I dotn care about sound as long as its loud...plus the Stomung stuff can add that boxer grumble back too... -

There is some rust under the front metal peice thats above the bumper/under the headlights/grille...and around back there is some under the tail lights behind the bumper. Also, ther eis a speck around the lower drivers side corner of the windshield. Caboobaroo: you need some shims to shim up the cams...they ahve play in them and make noise if not shimmed...they didnt do this when new...they kinda got some wear on them from being in 4 different cars.... :-\ -
Kinda hard to do that when NONE exist and I have not looked at the part number... :-p

Oh and believe it or not, I did not have to lift the engine at all to install the header. -

The things that the cams ride on that link the HVLA and the valve. Dont forget the shims part. -

if you want low end TQ/HP....this was a really good setup: Take the stocke DP and second cat...GUT IT. Leave the stock DIA exh...but replace the muffler with either stright pipe or a cherry bomb. Turbo at full boost no later than 2400. Start spooling at 1800. Mid/Hi is better, but not as good as with the TWE stuff. -
Check all wiring. Also, did you swap the RX intake manifold wiring harness over onto the Spyder? If not...that could be the issue. When i did the spyder swap, I took the 86 intake wiring harness and swapped it right over onto the spyder. I also redid the fuel rail, moved the FPR, and did away with the stock and the spyder's idle control. That could be the issue on idle, is the RX ECU does not know how to control the Spyder's idle vavle. Try swapping that. Oh and answer my Q's.

the D/R...1990 maybe? i know ive never seen a Loyale with it in person...but ive heard of them.... as for the 81 4WD swap...can be done. I dotn know much about those tho. -
First, TWE update: The final check from Folgers is finally on its way as of the middle of last week. Some one of the upper management decided its not important to send it off as soon as it was printed and signed. :mad: :mad: So, its on its way. Hopefully everytihng will be at Folgers within the next month...the check has to clear, the items have to clear customs, etc.... Ok...a while back, someone on here had some NA headers for the EA81/82 made up...Tig welded and so on...they were really nice. I myself am interested in building up an NA engine for my wagon...10.5:1 compression, cams, intake and and full exhaust. So who would be interested in a header? TWE makes some really great stuff for the Impreza NA's, and I dont have a clue on cost...but im just putting the option out there and see how much interest we have.

Yes, there is a little bottom end loss with the bigger pipe...BUT...I've not noticed it at all on my setups with the TWE stuff. Are you running the stock header? Using a custom DP? -
its the TPS. I still dont have a replacement for it.

I cant seem to find many Justys. are they just rare...or do people treat them like paper plates and use them for a while and junk them? Ive actually NEVER seen any in any junkyards, and rarely have I seen them out and about...ive maybe seen 4~6 alive and running...ive seen far more pre 85 wagons than Justys as a whole.

Agreed. Just pay for gas for me to get there and back...and maybe lunch... But there are guys that are still at the dealers that remember working on the first subies in the country....but still...it will be a VERY expensive endevour at the dealer.
