  1. Possibly.....but, mine glows all the time.
  2. if its an 85 to early 87 turbo car...it should be the cruise box if its rather low...the turbo dash light and boost controller should be right up high beside the injector resistior block.
  3. Agreed. The STi unit is larger by about 10%~15%...or so. The y-pipe is all metal and the core is larger....aka wider. BOTH the WRX and STi units will fit under the hood.
  4. tahnks! HAHA....yeah classes....a b c d e f g h Stock...asp bsp csp dsp esp fsp....sm, sm2, sts stu stx...ap bp cp...etc etc...
  5. Thanks guys! But...Justy=1800 lbs....WRX=3100/STi=3300 lbs Big difference on dirt especially. Normally Shane is ~3 to 4 seconds difference in the Wagon vs RS....I get in shanes car and I am 1~1.5 seconds faster than him. This was the first time the RX went out in "full autox trim" since I put it together...adn tis got the same setup as the wagon had, plus different springs inthe back.
  6. I can have one out in 45 mins by myself. Its easy. Just pull the whole tihng out as an assy. Leave all the turbo stuff on... :-p
  7. Certinly its alot of driver....but the car did have alot to do with it seeing as how there were VERY experienced drivers in WELL SET UP cars out there....that event makes it official; I've been autox'ing for one year now.
  8. Looks like another BS product to me....like that Prolong junk or zmax bs.
  9. Its DEFINATLY worth doing. The only reason Ive not done so on the RX yet is $...and time to pull it off my wagon which is sitting. The response and feel was improved 10000% on my wagon. The ones for the "GC8 non-RA" are near direct fit. The square one is 100% bolt in. The round one needs to be trimmed some to fit, but otherwise is a perfect fit.
  10. I dont have AF ratios, no wide band hooked up. I see its a Dyno Jet! We have the same stock boost numbers it apprears. Excellent. You have the larger turbo, so when you crank up the boost you WILL be putting out more power up high and not dropping off like I am....PLUS getting alot more mid range and the TQ curve will be VERY nice. I expect to see 170~190/200~230 when you run 15 PSI.
  11. http://www.ccrsolo2.org/forms/ax1_05_fin.htm Scroll down about 2/3rds the way..."Street Modified" is the class. Look for the "18YR OLD SUBARU RX" in 2nd place...behind the 600 HP EVO equipped with 255/40/17 race tires. I was on Ecsta V700 215/50/13's in the RX, running 15 PSI on all my faster runs, stock boost on the first one. Warp3/Shane is in the 4th place 2.5 RS....he runs 225/50/15 Victoracers (a must stickey'r tire than the Ecstas) and the car is SET UP with Groundcontrol/Koni coilovers, sway bars and the like...Cobb cams, borla exhaust...so its putting out 200/200 at the crank. 9.5 lb flywheel and all that good stuff. the 98 civic was on R's as well, and is supercharged...its quite fast. that 92 kinda snuck in there...never seen it before. All 3 of them very good drivers (Shane's been doing this for 6 years now I think) the 240 was turbocharged, and from the accord down everything else was on street tires. RX slow? Nope. Its fast, and competitive.
  12. NO. These are the factory preformed metal ones.
  13. No, as long as they are the same bolt up and same basic lenghts...different springs and dampening ratings with springs should be fine. You can send them to get revalved for different springs...but with adjustable ones, which these are, you can use many different rates and not send it off for revalve. A good rally suspension is about 2x stock with proper dampening. The baseline ones would be perfect for that. Stock is technically horrible....but the way the car is setup over all its fine. Id start with an even ratio, say 400/400 and go from there. With GR2's I have 250/400....and its a little pusy on R compund tires but is well balanced on street tires.
  14. just the basic "base line" is what you need and just dont touch anything on it until you are ready to start messing with things.
  15. I'll install them tonight hopefully and get some pics. They snap onto the outer edge of the door to protect it against nicks on the edge of the door...inwhich the paiont comes off easily and becomes a rust spot.
  16. Specs are whatever you want. Its a custom job after all. The advantage over the RX stuff is....height control, spring rate/dampening rate control....which in turn makes the car feel 10000% better than before. Even the basic DMS Gold 40MM coilovers with 180/180 spings on an RS (stock is almost that rating), the car feels SOOOOO much better over stock due to the dampening control. Basically, these will make a Leone GLUED to the road. You can use them for rally/rallycross/autox/road racing or show show and tell. There is no deadline so tto speak...but I'm not going to wait forever...I want some SOON. If I have to I'll jsut have them make a one off for me.
  17. My RX: TWE header and Downpipe WRX TMIC GReddy PRofect B-Spec II electronic Boost controller ricer classic HKS replica mushroom style foam ait filter w/honeycomb in the MAF adapter The rest of everything for the engine is bone stock.
  18. I just purchased the last 9 sets in the USA. The Chrome is long gone...I got the black ones. Any interest in these...or should I just put these up in my room for decoration?
  19. Made by D2 Motorsports. Min. buy in of 5 sets, FRONT AND REAR. These are fully adjustable coilovers for the Leones, and a direct bolt in. Adjustable dampening and height. $1300 shipped to your door step. I am in for 1 set, i just need 4 more to commit and pre-pay. Any takers?

    Fess up!

oh no no no no no! EA82T will always be the engine of choice for me. I am going o experiment with a plain jane EJ22E if I happen across one, and a 4EAT AWD EA82 trans for my wagon as daily driver.
