Idling problems...EA82T, '87 RX
Ditto, I was also going to suggest that, Duct tape fixed mine right up.

Idling problems...EA82T, '87 RX
The idle air control valve being on top of the thermostat. Some times they get gummed up. Or in my case, the gasket was crap. It could cause some serious idleing problems

+1 for nokkian hakka's. I've got mine on right now(the legacy that is). I bought the car with blizzacks on it, and they didn't last long with my driving.

Arggh! Blew a spark plug,...again.
So I had it towed to the subaru dealership because I didn't want to deal with it again, and I have loads of subaru bucks. the prognosis----Would not reccommend re-helicoiling it. Get new head(although he suggested both.) I just put this engine in last winter, and now I'm going to have to pull it again. Actually I'm going to try to salvage the plug hole somehow. hmmm, helicoil inside a helicoil maybee.. If I do pull the engine, I'm going to make sure it's really shiny when I put it back in

Arggh! Blew a spark plug,...again.
Whatever I used was not wire, but a solid insert, threaded on both sides.

Just showing off my babies (Pics)
Wagon wheels on the RX. Looks good. I was thinking of doing that.

Arggh! Blew a spark plug,...again.
Just venting, but the same plug blew out as did last time. I put one of those coil inserts in, and properly torqued it, and now several months later, it popped out again. Good thing I have another subaru to drive in the meantime. --Todd

The RX update for Nov 2005...lol
So that is what my car would look like without front end rust.. The lancia strattos is a sweet car, but I don't think the italian colors would be fitting on an RX:)
