  1. I think that one on craigslist is just a tuned WRX setup
  2. Here's my Legacy with a 95 STI Ver2 RA drivetrain. Don't forget the goodies such as the 5th injector
  3. Gasket remover spray, and a razorblade
  4. Every time I've pulled the cam case off, the lifters have fallen out. Kinda hard to know what order they go in. I just put used lifters in a brand new, O mile head, and it purrs like a kitten
  5. I want a better rear sway bar, anybody want to hook me up with one?
  6. They should be done with both wheels on the ground
  7. OK, can I compare this to my problem? I changed the drivers side head. Car Idles beautifully, but when I try to get on the gas, the power is just not there. I REALLY don't want to take that cam case off again, just thinking about it...ugh
  8. There should be a screw on the rotor, on the side I think. A problem I have with my wires is the inside of them like to pull up in the boot, so I have be careful to make sure they are seated properly
  9. I would get a 96 legacy, and put a complete 95 STI Ver2 RA drivetrain in it, and top it off with some suspension work;)
  10. I'll help by taking lots of pictures. -Todd
  11. Cool, it even has video's. Noticed the possum borne car did the 86 Olympus rally, here in WA.
  12. Do yourself a favor, and replace as many of the pcv/oil/cooling hoses as possible, now, while you're in there. seriously
  13. there was a long discussion about this already http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12239&highlight=torque+head+gasket
  14. I have a similar problem. I just installed a brand new head. The car ideals beautifully, but when I go to drive it, i does not want to accellerate. I think it has to do with all the electrical connections I messed with at the same time (applying dialectric grease) I have a possible crank angle sensor code. Maybee I messed something up with the timing belt even though I was pretty meticulous about that. --also the plug wires just do not want to sit snug and happy on the distributor or coil, so I might change those ( year old ) --Todd
  15. If I had the budget right now, I would throw a wrx or sti setup in my RX for sure, but my funds are still deminished from doing that to my legacy, ..he he
  16. Well, I expect a writeup on that. ---I have also thought of yanking my ac, less stuff to work around, don't know if it works or not. It's never gotten hot enough for me to use.
  17. If you adjust the idle speed screw, facing up on the throttle body, it will definitely effect the idle, there is a smaller screw on the side for fast idle(ie with accessories on) and that will make little to no noticeable difference. I would definitely give that a try
  18. Are you adjusting the screw on the top, not the one on the side, just want to make sure
  19. If it idles at 1700 warm, I would adjust the idle screw
  20. I'm in skagit county, but am up in b-ham pretty often
  21. My RX runs better on plus, than on supreme. I can imagin that it would run much worse on 105
  22. Sorry to hear that kevin, hopefully you can find another RX, or an equally cool project
