  1. Update: I can't find a thing wrong with it. Other than it has some minor mold in it and the P.O. decided to spray paint some of the exterior with an outline of cat and some weird symbol. Not to mention all the damn stickers...especially the "organic cottage cheese" stickers...that tells ya about the prior.
  2. New type of Bumper. Named "Box Bumper" until we make a catchy name, tell us what you think. These are 1/8 plate bumpers formed into the box shape you see. The new models will be wider in the front face. These will easily accept a skid plate, which are in Development easily install and protect a winch (not included). Can add D-rings. Also available for EA82s. $200. Ea82 bumpers might cost extra because of blinker placement. Email if you're interested in EA82 bumpers.
  3. So, today I had some time to work on my $100 Ea82 DL wagon. I got it cheap because the owner said it popped a head gasket. So I bought a head gasket kit and had the engine almost ready to pull, just had to drop the y pipe and engine mounts. Then I called my friend to see if he could help, he asked if I did the typical checks...like compression test and check the timing belts. I did do those and the left bank had no compression what-so-ever. Then I checked the disty to see if it was spinning...it was so I knew that belt was intact and I pulled the cover of the right belt, it was intact. So...must be a head gasket or hole in a piston or something. Then he asked if I actually check the valve timing...I did not. So I pulled the left cover and turned the car over, I noticed the belt was slapping...what the hell...I pulled the center cover and noticed the tensioner bolts came loose...so I reset the timing and reassembled the engine enough to test start it...and after a couple minutes of coaxing, it fired up. So, tomorrow, I'm going to bust out a comp test again and see where to go from there.
  4. THat is one nice car. Good job, now, did you have to back up to get it back to 200,000. Just driving along and realize you were .2 over?
  5. Does it have a rear diff?
  6. I think he has a Full Time box now, without a diff lock switch. I always thought all full times had switches.
  7. All the diff lock on a full time box does is split the power 50/50. I think it's 70 front 30 rear without the switch on. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I need to know too.
  8. I think there is a thing about the reverse switch...I've never dealt with it.
  9. Should be 3.9. What kind of tranny do you have in your loyale now? It will bolt right up. As long as you've had a manual tranny in there before. If it's an automatic you'll need the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, clutch pedal/cable. As for shifting components..,.they are all bolt on, you don't need to cut or modify anything. If you have an automatic you're rear diff will be 3.7 and needs to be changed out. And you'll need the center console, just the part that the shifter boot is attached to, and the d/r shift lever.
  10. He's a great guy to deal with. I ordered some custom stuff from him a while back and it was great work. He made sure it was what I wanted before doing it. I know, I need to get some money together for the next set that I asked ya about.
  11. Wet sanding is when you use really fine sand paper to sand a paint job. It's done by putting the paper in water and then sanding, or you can spray the water on with a spray bottle. It's like buffing it. Takes imperfections out and makes the coat more even. If you think you're going to try this, google the how-to. Because I can't explain it well enough.
  12. No clue, I have an idea on what my company can build though. Thanks.
  13. I've seen some crazy results with rolling rustoleum on. Looks like arma coating, and is strong. As for a paint gun, check harbor freight. Look for a HVLP (high volume low pressure) gun. Make sure you get a regulator to step the input air down. As for paint, rustoleum is good for spraying, thin with Acetone. Those are your cheap options. You can try Krylon Fusion paint. Just remember, your paint job is only as good as the effort you put into preparation. Sand it, remove dust, prime it, paint it. Maybe wet sand it after each coat of paint.
  14. Could we get a direct link? I for some reason can't figure out how to find a user's album.
  15. I don't see it in the pic? Are you referring to that?
  16. I try to show mine who's boss, but it drives like it's an automatic, even though it's a stick. The RPMs go up, but not in relation to the speed. (Coughnewclutchcough). And my RX, if I try to show it who's boss, it blows a headgasket...damn turbos.

I'd be worried about low clearance areas. I'm also working on light bars.
  18. Damn I posted this in the off topic section, this morning, like a good kid...
  19. Check this out...didn't know where to post it...Movie here
  20. Yeah, doesn't it caause cylinder washing, causing damage to the sylinder wall? From running too rich?
  21. Fuel filters? Could you have knocked the timing off a tooth or a few?
  22. Amen to everything GD said. As for aftermarket parts...what did you have in mind? Check out www.sjrlifts.com , www.headtraumainc.com or www.ozified.com
  23. There is another one "To all their own." As for megasquirt, I built a megaview unit for mine. I can for you, if you're interested. Also, he can get the basics down, with a cheap engine, cheap parts and no EJ conversion. Then, if he wants more power, he can step up to the EJ side.
